If my families experience is anything to go off you definitely need to play golf to be a fire chief or police chief. My father was the fire chief of my town and almost all other chiefs in the towns and city’s he knew all played golf and did tournaments for the fallen firefighters foundation or other charities. It certainly seems to be a necessity the higher in rank you go in any field where you get to play with the cool toys at the bottom level and just do paperwork at the top.
I’m starting to suspect this Guam insurgency is just a labor action by the golf worker’s union.
