I personally like to use an external USB mouse. You get to have more control and speed clicking to trim your digital models, adjust, etc vs having too much friction using a nitrile glove on the touch screen/mouse pad of a "Prime Scan" unit or the track ball of an omnicam. The ergonmics on using the track pad and to extend your thumb down and out to click is doable, but if find I experience more hand fatigue that I need for the handpiece.
Do you have any tips for drawing the margin and you can’t tell what is the prep or gum tissue because of how sublingual it is? I’m really good at packing cord and controlling hem but no matter how good I am at it there’s always very tricky portions
It lowers the probability of lateral and working interferences and also provides loading forces down the long axis of the tooth. Both these aspects will be a positive aspect to optimize force dynamics.
@@KlimDDS thanks Dr Klim. Just wondering if you have any experiences with designing and polishing vertical margins/knife-edge margins crowns preps (vertipreps) using cerec?
@@Mcknockout777 With digital technology, almost anything can be accomplished via machining or printing. It depends on the material, etc. Yes, I have done v/preps and very conservative applications.
@@KlimDDS Yeah Im specifically looking for the cerec design and polishing protocol for vertipreps using zirconia. My understanding is that during the design phase, to “over-marginate” the crown and then during polishing to polish back the margins to a knife edge. I’m having difficulty finding any videos online outlining this process. I would be grateful if you could share your protocol if you have e experience with this, thanks!
Excellent, thank you
Nice Doctor....
do you think the 3Dconnexion mouse could be helpful in cerec design? thanks
I’m working on exocad
Do you use a separate rollar ball or mouse?
if so which one? thanks for awesome video

Make sure there is no significant moisture at the margins/gingival zone, this will create difficulty in seeing the margin.
Why do you want to put the occlusal contacts on non-inclined cusp slopes? TIA, great content very helpful

How come i don't see biogenetic variation tool in my cerec omnicam. i am using 5.1 software.
do you have a answer?
I too have an Omnicam + MC XL and I do not see “biogenetic variation” on 5.2.0
Hi Doc
What is the price of total software and machinery ?
It depends on the package and trade-in options; the range will be in the 113-150k range. I am a user, not a distributor. All the best.
Dear sir... how to download the cerec software 5...
Go to the Dentsply Sirona website and look for CEREC, there you will fine the various versions to download.
