I pray that I'll never be stained with the ash
Just like my father, he's got his scars
I may not follow but he'll leave his mark
It's the Olympus within me I'm fighting
Oh father, I fear I've become more of a titan
(Andrea)
Onward, my son
It's almost the Allfather's time
(As the Valkyries fall from the sky)
Onward my son
You're only one footprint behind
One day yours will be larger than mine
Once he is gone
His ghost will still haunt you
The chaos he's wrought
Is already upon you
(Skull)
Sins of my father? I carry em now
But I don't want em, I'll bury em now
I know his path, and how it'll end
Far from my dad, I don't bow for revenge
Breaking the timeless cycle of violence
But where would I be without his guidance?
I know he's watchin', but is he seein'?
Maybe I'm not him, but I still need him
Father's a fighter, no hiding the scars
I've lit the spark that will fire his heart
Together we'll shift and defy all the odds
Surrender's a gift we'll deny all the gods
I've gotta take all that I've learned from him
And whatever respect that I've earned from him
And I'll start goin' down my own road
I don't need Pandora, brought my own hope
For the lonely walk, so long ahead
But you know I brought my talkin' head
And a fellowship that I'm leadin'
The day's comin' when I won't need him
I hardly know my own power - It's frightening
Now I know why all my arrows
Are striking like lightning
(Andrea)
Onward, my son
It's almost the Allfather's time
(As the Valkyries fall from the sky)
Onward my son
You're only one footprint behind
One day yours will be larger than mine
With your path of destruction behind you
The boy is unpoisoned with hatred
His path may yet guide you
Our son has no sword to swing
His song is not yours to sing
Let him see your scars
Then he'll leave his mark
Onward, my son
It's almost the Allfather's time
(As the Valkyries fall from the sky)
Onward my son
You're only one footprint behind
One day yours will be larger than mine
(Skull)
I wanna be like you
I'll pick up my sword
I'll be just like you
A true *GOD OF WAR*
Finally, it was a hope JT would say it and now it is a bliss that they said it.
Boy
3:45
Too bad the song has to do with a game that is not only a bad sequel, but also w@ke.
@@ramonandrajo6348 what? I talking about the word "boy". Everyone wanted them to say it in the first song, they didn't and now they say it here. What did you think?
@@ufukkelesoglu3639 They didn't say "boy" because in the game GoW Ragnarok the relationship between Kratos and Atreus was broken because the writer of said game, as well as the director, wanted it that way; this song follows the same theme.
@@ramonandrajo6348 this has gone too far
This song truly shows the character progression of atreus, how in the last game, and thus last song, he wanted to be just like his father and was full of himself. Now he realizes he is his own person and must follow his own road. Well done JT. Well done indeed
this song hits my sweet spot, loved the game cause the relationship between them was one i wanted and this song just describe me and my dad and what i want in life
“ I wanna be like you, I’ll pick up my sword. I’ll be just like you, a true god of war “
Ooooo that was beautiful. And very apparent since Atreus tried to open a chest like Kratos 😂
And basically broke his damn hand
This is great, truelly worth the wait. Also, Skull your singing was beautiful, now I want to hear a song where You and Andrea will just sing together.
SeeYaLater
Too bad the song has to do with a game that is not only a bad sequel, but also w@ke.
This song gives me shivers from how great it is
The chorus when he says "as I grow older father's all I want to be" literally brought tears to my eyes. IM SERIOUS😭😭😭💓💓
This rap is fire, only complaint I have is I wish it was easier to hear “as valkyries fall from the sky” because I’mma be honest with you without the lyrics on the screen I probably wouldn’t have known it was there
This feels false, make sure it's real before giving information
@@adamsalt9423 you’re talking about the scam account? Yeah it’s fake as hell, I looked at their profile and this is the only thing they do.
@@spoonge6682 just said it in case they got a "customer" to scam
I think it was intentional design, like it's literally Valkyries dropping from flight, but it is a bit diffifult to gage when it comes up.
@@anglepsycho okay that’s cool but like I said I wouldn’t have even know it was there unless I saw the lyrics. Either I got dog water hearing or they, for some reason, decided to add a part of the song at the lowest decibel hearable by the human ear which seems like a pretty poor choice since I imagine you would want your audience to actually hear what you’re saying.
It goes from "l'm nothing like you, so i put down my sword." to "I wanna be like you, i'll pick up my sword, i'll be just like you a true God of War." is so wholesome and inspiring ngl
I always replay these raps over and over again because they are so good

2:34 "Maybe I'm not him, but I still need him"
That line feels really relevant to me rn.
Thanks for making a fire song to cap off the year skull. Here's to another one.
This is very incredible and very much worth the wait absolutely love any song that fits the character’s personality and you two did phenomenal on this Atreus song. Incredible God Of War Ragnarok song JT Music and Andrea have a marvelous day and new year
@@ramonandrajo6348 cry about, boss
At 3:39 with Andrea, it’s literally a letter from Faye to kratos on how he should be handling Atreus and offering him some guidance

This is LEGENDARY
Phenomenal song Jt and Andrea. You guys together and there will always be a banger. Happy New Years!
She is redundant in this song.
@@ramonandrajo6348 She brings in the caring maternal aspect of Faye and Freya that balances out the harsh brutality of Kratos. JT singing Atreus' parts of making his father proud by being a better God of War than Kratos is balanced by Andrea singing the parts of Faye saying 'Don't fight for the sake of fighting, do it for a reason'. Either one on its own is amazing, both combined is incredible.
@@13g0man Aaaaand?
This easily has to be my favorite one to listen to without a doubt
Or at least until they change my mind like how they always manage to do
I swear every time I listen to this I shiver, that's how you know it's an amazing song!
I’m on a plane rn and everyone is like why this kid jamming so hard
Thanks JT and Andrea for this song and Happy New Year 🎉🎊
4:27 Damn that last part gives me goosebumps amazing song!
Absolutely crushed it, this channel has consistently improved and adapted to new styles of songwriting with more complex structures and instrumentals. Could've sworn this channel would've faded out of existence 5-6 years ago but seeing it still kick around even better than before is extraordinary.
Good luck in 2023
Happy New Year JT!!! And what a godly song you made today!!!!
Happy New Year to you JT Music! Thanks for a year of awesome music. Here's to another great year in 2023!
The perfect rap to hear when unleashing Ragnarok 😎
My dad was literally a ginger kratos. Heavily damaged but trying his best. This game and this song have made me cry multiple times. I have to heal for both of us.Gods rest his soul.
Waited 5 years for this, this is expected of jt music to come out with another banger
"His song is not yours to sing." Put some R.E.S.P.E.C.T. on that line.
about to start 2023 with this beautiful masterpiece
(the song by itself makes me wanna cry, and i lovit )
0:59 - 1:37
This whole sequence is my favorite in this whole song, so underrated
Absolutely phenomenal song. I just wish the line “As the Valkyries fall from the sky” was a bit louder and more distinctive. It’s really easy to miss as it stands.
BEST SONG EVER!!
& it feels very appropriate for sending off 2022 & getting into the new year of 2023. Excellent work, JT Music Crew.
I love this song so much, I love the god of war series in general and recently I figured out that half of my family came from Sparta, Greece which made me so happy because for once I could relate to a video game character
happy new years to yall at jt music, and too all those im the comments, this song is a great way to start the new year, yall killed it, like always
I have listened to this song on repeat for an hour, and it doesn’t get old
Now this is the real JT Music. This was so good and I loved how you kind of used the game soundtrack and sounds inspired by it. Great song
JT Music all I have for you is my love thank you for the gift
I feel like Baldur whenever I hear this song. Weak in stature yet as powerful as Kratos himself. Happy new year to you, Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Baldur, Thor, Magni, Modi, Angŕboda, Faye, Brok, Sindri, Heimdall, Odin, the valkyries, Fenrir and yes... especially you, Pat, Skull, Andrea and the rest of the JT Music crew.
So begins a new year. Onward, to Valhalla with the Spartan captain/Ghost Of Sparta.
Man it’s video game rap songs by UA-cam artists like JT music that makes me want to play games like god of war.
Bro you can hear the emotion that brought into this rap(not saying that he doesn’t in every rap)but it sounded like a true Norse rap if you will
1st rap of 2023 🥳
Btw, Happy newyear guys!
It's not new years for me yet.

As always JT Crew, you guys are awersome, a great thank you for this year 2022, and i'm confident you will continue to amaze us on the next one.

I loved this song, especially since I just finished watching GoW Ragnarok. Also, I've been subbed to this channel for at least 8 years but I wasn't notified about this jaw-dropping song from 2 months ago. And here I was waiting for this amazing song. Thank you.
Happy new year JT music and everybody have a good day❤️
I can't wait until September when Ragnarok finally comes out on Steam and I can actually play it for myself instead of watching someone else do it

@uno reverse card If you want to know so much, it has to do with blackwhasing, contempt for fatherhood, assassination of the character of Kratos for the simple fact of being a man, female empowerment based on the agenda of the third wave of feminism, poor adaptation and contempt of Norse mythology due to the fact that it is considered toxic and "force diversity".
@@ramonandrajo6348 Lmfao. Angrboda being black really got you mad. Kratos' character was not assassinated, he became a father and he changed for the better. Female Empowerment? So basically having female characters that aren't princesses in cages we have to save? Finally, there is no forced diversity. 99% of the God of War Ragnarok Cast are white men and women. Atreus, Thor, Odin, Heimdall, Freya, Sif, Thrud, Sindri, Brok, Tyr. The story is adapted in a way that allows not only Kratos to exist, but also for Loki to not exist as he does in regular Norse Myth. Personally, I think it works really well even if Ragnarok itself could've been a bit longer and bigger.

Man I always remember when every song was always quick lyrics but this still great
beautiful song, it has captured some of the true emotions of Ragnarok
i just realized this is Atreus and Faye singing about Kratos and how Atreus won't go down the same path as his father but his choices in life will still haunt Atreus
I just a Playstation 4 for Christmas and Played God of War 2018 for the first time and This Made me Love the Series More
wow... i honestly don't know what to say about this other than it was masterfully done. really captures the struggle of Loki breaking away and finding himself.
but also embracing that a part of him will always be spartan.
the fear of gods killing their own still lingers. 'the Olympus within me i'm fighting'.
But Loki wants to be something more. 'I've become more of a titan'.
1:17 Best part (My opinion)
Agreed
"Surrender's a gift, We'll deny all the gods." - It was awesome.
Wow. The lyrics are just amazing.
