I still miss the Master Cycle Zero... The zonai schematic bootleg copy just isn't the same. :(
The Beam Cycle is like a least favorite child- it tries its best but will never be enough
Hey Mety, your controller is low on battery. Just thought you should know.
Lol yes i love when it shows up in a video 😂
3:07 it’s satisfying until link jumps off and under the cryonis block and breaks it
as kleric once said, swimming under cryonis blocks is why theres pain in the world
@@newshit7199 yes
@@newshit7199yeah I remember he said that once
Link is just trying to use his head for once!
Idk if its just me, but while changing between games and playing them for at least 10 min, i feel that they're as different as oot and majoras, i mean, they look kinda similar because of the assets, but its a completely different experience like comparing magnesis with ultrahand
Exactly
This, 100 percent this. BotW fans just wanna seethe that a lot of people prefer TotK without realizing it's because the games play differently even though they're set in the same world
The abilities sure, but the main overworld is the same and the story is imo much worse
@IceYetiWins even the main overworld lf both games are completely different, like I said, 10 min or so is enough to watch huge differences and about the story, this is just my opinion, both are really good and different, like totk actually has a villian, but I think it's the best to play one after another since there's a lot of interactions and npcs that changed over the in-game time between games
@@zeromontalvan1514 there's some differences in the main world but what I would've liked to see would be multiple new towns and landmarks, rather than just lookout landing and fallen rocks scattered around. And yeah the story is different too but most of the major elements are quite similar to botw, and in general I didn't feel like I really connected to the characters as much as botw. They're certainly both good games though.
It would have been cool if in ToTK you could’ve unlocked the old abilities. Combining Statis and Ultrahand or Rewind could be really fun
Not to mention Revali and Tulin for ultimate traversal
This is the DLC I want.
Champion abilities + Ancient Sheika tech / abilities + Zonai tech / abilities.
I miss being able to summon my horse or master cycle anywhere. Sure, I can autobuild a zonite plane anywhere, but skimming the landscape isn’t the same as letting the horse have its reins.
Actually, Urbosa and Mipha are the only champions I really miss.
There’s an option to disable the Switch notification sound effect, so it doesn’t come through on the recording. It’s in settings > notifications somewhere in the Switch settings
But i love when my controller battery is dying in a recording of a video 😂
I do agree that Guardians are the best chase enemy, and I was considering abusing them some more soon. I certainly miss Mipha's Grace and the motorcycle, but I can't deny how fun and useful the cart shield is. I also like that the enemies in BotW are seemingly stronger, though I do hate their regen ability in Master Mode.
I still think that Tears is the superior game, but there were definitely quite a few elements in Breath that were better and more fun.
I put it on my life that totk is glorified dlc botw did it better totk is just the adhd version
@@domin8tion651 The way I generally put it is that BotW was the worst thing to happen to TotK. If they came out as one complete game, without a separation of abilities, then it would've been perfect.
@@ShawnF6FHellcat yeah that’s my problem tbh the abilities I loved the champions abilities/runes from botw and the guardians so much and while totk runes were very cool but the only major problem is that the abilities in totk are so buns in botw you felt like a one man army but in totk I usually have to play with the sages off since I barley find myself using them and they just take agro off which is really sad because they are such a big part of the game
I miss the crazy ragdolls you can do in BOTW
I still find it odd. In the Sheikah era (BotW and AoC) lightning, electricity and electric magic were green. Suddenly in the new Zonai era (TotK), they're yellow.
it makes sense tho since green is now the color of zonai stuff in totk they had to make a visual change to avoid confusion
@@iremozbay5394 that's one aspect, I'll give it to you, but what about in-world? Did the Sheikah have partial control of the weather system, and that's why the lightning was the same colour as their own electricity?
@@xinpingdonohoe3978 i dont think the devs had much choice in this case. making the distinction between zonai stuff and electricity more clear was more important than keeping the in-game 'lore' going - especially since most casual players probably wont even notice the color change. the zonai green is very significant for the entire game's aesthetic and branding (especially following the botw era sheikah blue) so it makes sense they made the sacrifice
i miss the wolf dude why did they remove it in totk :(
Ps: i think you are really underrated and i used to watch you years ago. thank you for all the entertainment you brought us and i think you should be getting more than 500 views. we all love you!!
Yeah wolf link is love! Also thanks for the huge love long time fan! ❤️
wolf link’s amiibo is literally just meat. THEY SLAUGHTERED HIM MAN
@@dogdougdouglas I KNOW RIGHT?!
I still prefer Tears of the Kingdom. I do miss the Guardians and the Hyrule Field Battle theme in BOTW. It sounds more intense than TOTK
I also miss roaming around anxiety free bc the guardians are much less scary than the gloom hands
I kind of miss Magnesis and Stasis. I loved being able to throw things around and launch myself around with random boxes I’d find.
I love torturing koroks and having a statue of you having the time of your life with sidon
Hyrule Field, Castletown, and the Castle are just not the same without guardians. I just quickly move around and don't need to fear a thing. Even the tunnels on the outside of the castle with Horriblins and Like Likes I just run right through without a thought when in a rush.
@@dogdougdouglasmagnesis is worse ultrahand
I went back to BotW and I don't how many times I tried to pull up Ultra-hand.
Haha habits xD
I love Breath of the wild way more than totk
same, only real interesting new things was new bosses a couple new enemies and 2 square inches of sky islands and an underground area that is ugly af and the entire damn thing looks exactly the same
I love Tears of the kingdom way more than botw
The new “power” are situation use which means you can use them in some situations unlike the old 4 which were always being use
It was much more cohesive and overall more interesting imo
@@agentpig2687 by that logic, botw is boring because it's just a generic open world
You know why that sounds stupid? Because it's not true.
I go back into BotW yearly beginning 3/3 and am still havimg fun doing many of these. Especially, the MCZ is better than any Zonai thing that I built. I jump myself off of a cliff, bail, glide and then resummon it once I touch ground and ride again. I do find myself missing the new abilities. Many times I get myself into a nook and want to ascend.
The glitches sure are more fun… especially wind bomb 😢
TOTK glitches do nothing but dampen and make the game too easy... BOTW glitches like durability transfer and thunderclap rush were the best
@@indisputable3nope lol therrs a bunch of combat glitches in totk too
@@totkfan In my opinion BOTW's are much more fun and practical
@indisputable3 the game is not even a year old yet, we will find more gltiches
@@DaimJ1 Hopefully...
Totk is a great add-on to an amazing game, but that is all it is. Loving it for what it is, but will forever prefer BOTW. Truth is, BOTW did not need TOTK to be great, it always was. And BOTW is not empty, some people just can't see the potential and all the possibilities unless they are spoon fed to them.😑
BotW was far from great at launch, it was just new lol. BotW didn't really have much content, it was basically a grassy field simulator with some puzzle boxes (the shrines) and literal shit collectables without much going on outside of that.
Most feel TotK was necessary, that's why most say TotK makes BotW irrelevant
Botw was great because of what you could do not what you could find, that's the reason it was great on its own and didn't need totk's copy paste shenanigans. It's undeniable what the sequel did to enrich play experience but it doesn't feel different at its core
Wow I found some cool things I never knew you can do too. Thanks!
Happy you enjoyed the video ❤️
I like both of the games. TOTK for building and creativity and exploration, and botw just to vibe.
I miss this. The runes, glitches, cast, bike, music, gold enemies, guardians, weapons...
My only gripe with totk is...where did all the ancient tech go? Where did the DIVINE BEASTS GO!!!
They should have left them as an easter egg and let us clb around the outside of them. Or discover them partially burried somewhere with stuff growing off of them!
secret hidden guardian in totk: why am i not remembered?
How is he still underrated after so many years?
I haven’t been here is so long.
I would prefer having Stasis to Rewinding in TOTK, just convert all recall puzzles to Stasis. Stasis would be so much more helpful than recall
I prefer the battle music in BotW but that’s one of the few things I like more.
when btb was discovered, I used to watch kleric's videos and try the glitches out myself, it was insane to go at that speed xd
we need to have a mod in TOTK that had more BOTW details...
Combine all abilities! Guardians added!
If they kept the botw runes in totk and you could switch between botw runes and totk runes that would've been great
One thing i like more in totk is the exploration, since you can both explore underground, surface and the sky. Other than recall in totk, i feel like botw link is more op. Infinite bombs, stasis. I can't believe this game will turn 7 already. And no decayed weapons. I mean, you can build in totk, but that's the only thing i can see totk doing better than botw
Wdym, pepper gale still exists
3:06 ice fruit, frost emitter, chu chu jelly and sapphire I guess can replace that
If both games combined (ex. Powers, specifically the Mastercycle, bombs, stasis, that ice power, Wolf Link) it would’ve been way better.
"botw link is more op then totk link"
botw link: rides gaurdian that notices him after 1 min
totk link: builds construct head with 20 beam emitters, builds a giant mech, and builds a flying zonai dragon
bokos: just end this already...
Indeed BotW is Nintendo's best open-world game ever but I'm still having fun with TotK, (do miss having unlimited bombs though.) Thanks Mety!
Is there any way to travel as fast as BTB or windbomb in totk?
The ONLY thing botw had that i miss, is totk doesn’t have golden enemies. Other than that. Totk is better in every way. Totk killed botw for me. The master cycle is pretty overrated. And certain things people miss about botw are glitches. So it doesn’t count.
You're not suppose to shoot directly at the pepper
You have to shoot next to them one at a time
4:50
I miss the shiekah bike!! 😩
1:20 What the hell even happened here? How’d he get up there?
Everything you can do in BotW but not in TotK?
Me: Have fun. TotK feels like work.
Nice Video
Thanks like always!
The only thing that I envy from botw is the master cycle
Make a list of everything you can not do in Botw that you can do in totk. Video would be about half an hour long lol
That video would be way longer than this TBH lol. TotK is crazy
hunting for guardians was the best part
They reused the same damn map but somehow still ended up making a game that managed to not obsolete BotW smh Nintendo
im going back to botw soon
i miss my master cycle zero....
I'd take Revali over Tulin any day. The new abilities are more tedious as you have to hunt down the sages or run from them when grabbing small stuff or it gets barbecued by Yunobo or yeeted by Tulin.
I'd even take Guardians over the freaky Hands, too.
The sky section were a waste as only one of them are big enough to explore properly & the depths are just dark & boring with reskinned enemies.
Plus, TOTK gets literally all the fun glitches removed each patch because all the crybabies want us to play fair in a single player game that has worse requirements for armor upgrades.
I don't even know what glitches BoTW has or had in the game.
Oh & for the experts, no Master mode with gold enemies in ToTK.
The only time I like ToTK is you can dress as a Yiga.
Why I prefer botw
This is going to end with talking to Kass isn’t it 😭
i love bundun
Load up BOTW 1.0 and find all the glitches!!
Kinda crazy Tulins boost doesn't stutter the game unlike botw
Not really. It doesn't send you very far at all comparatively.
I miss Guardians :(
They both have awesome mechanics and different which make them fun to go back and forth to the master sword full potential and master cycle are the main reasons i still play botw. Diving glide suite cheapest and best flying devices u can make and more challenge from boss in totk it just great to own both games 😊
the good ol' days
😮
splendid
My favorite Totk video yet :) Botw was so much better than Totk
Hyaat
*Low battery*
OK, so botw has worse runes, champion's abilities that take FOREVER to charge up, PAID DLC to get a...motorbike (oh yeah you can build even better ones in totk i forgot), and a guardian (basically gloom hands/phantom ganon of totk) and plain glitches that make the game seem unpolished (even if its very fun!). BOTW has less content, worse durability and fewer options that make YOUR playthrough unique and less linear. Don't get me wrong, BOTW is very very good, but TOTK is objectively better, go play it! Maybe you made this video because it would be impossible to say everything that totk has over botw in one video.
Did you say even better motorbikes in TOTK? You have obviously not tried to recreate the Master Cycle Zero in TOTK no no no. The bikes in TOTK you can try to create will never be as fast as the Master Cycle Zero, they will also never be as light and agile as the Master Cycle. Even if you say that the Master Cycle Zero has fuel, TOTK does too, and the fuel for the Master Cycle Zero lasts an hour, as well as the fact that the parts for stuff in TOTK run out.
@@dogdougdouglas even better ones meaning that they can FLY, completely avoiding wheels and traversal of land, you can fly over lava, canyons and sea
@@fierybird that’s the same with botw’s flying machines with two carts and moon jump. I know you might be saying, “but that’s just a glitch” well that is sort of true but at least it works.
@@dogdougdouglas 1. Not as controllable. 2. could be patched in a potential switch 2 compatibility update. 3. *You can't instantly load the 2 minecarts with an autobuild, you have to find them* 4. You cant attach laser cannons!!! 5. There is less reason to fly vertically (no sky islands), making it impossible to justify great heights in botw. (You can try!) 6. Finally, you can get struck by lightning very easily in METAL minecarts, no matter if you have the lightning helm or not you will fall.
Hey, its the tech demo for a better game 🥰
totk is a joke compared to this
true. The only thing I liked was just building but now I don’t know what to build anymore. I liked BOTW more because during it’s time, it didn’t have building and stuff. I liked using boxes to building a structure or a shock trap or just anything that was a build. This is because I liked doing things the game doesn’t want you to do.
@@dogdougdouglas yea, building vehicles isnt even damn fun cause you know the hoverbike is a solution to all of them
@@OakleyDokaly sort of. One thing I hate is that the bootleg Master Cycle doesn’t feel as fun as the old one.
@@dogdougdouglas yeaa..
Why dont u love throwing npcs into the deepest darkest pits of hell
Also, you know you can press A and then B while turning to do sharp turns, right?
