Goes to show you should never dismiss anyone as "unintelligent" or "uneducated" just bc they don't look like it at first glance.

Intelligent people often struggle with life. Because we see and understand how things could be better, but lack the authority, ability or desire to correct them. We know that if someone took an interest in what we have to offer, we could do so much. But nobody wants to take the time to listen, let alone actually help.
It's like an unrequited love. We want so much to offer ourselves, but it has to be mutual. And it seldom is. So just put us in a box and we'll see if we come back around in another life cycle.

I felt that last one. As someone with both dyslexia AND dyscalculia it is easy to look down at ourselves for being stupid because we can't really grasp words or numbers.

Story 1: I'm just speculating here, but if he was prone to anger, maybe he was in for a violent crime.

Story 6: I get that smart people tend to have low confidence, but he speaks six languages? If that doesn't scream "Get a linguistics degree" than I don't know what does!

Story 1: Did anyone actually ever tell that prisoner that he is a genius? That he is actually worth listening to??

Being book smart does not stop intelligent people from making bad decisions. Some are more prone because they have no social peers.

There is knowledge/education, intelligence and wisdom.
Education-> you have information how to do it.
Intelligence -> you can figure out how to do it.
Wisdom -> you know whether you should actually do it.

Alot of people are smart, but as C.S. Lewis wrote "You get treated like a dumb animal long enough, that's what you become."

Interesting how many of these equate Eucation/schooling = I am intelligent and the inverse of that.
Meanwhile intelligence would be making a replacement for some lego pieces out of others cause : Yeah that sould connect well enough here to make it work, eventhough it's not the intended piece

The first one was insanely boring. We're here to talk about geniuses, not people's mental problems. Jesus Christ.
