- To say that Elvis Presley loved Gospel music would be an understatement. It was by far his favourite musical genre and the three personal Grammy awards he received during his lifetime were for recordings in this field.
From the summer of 1956 until the summer of 1977, whenever he stepped on stage, he did so accompanied by at least one Gospel harmony group; that's how highly he valued the Gospel sound.
Twenty-five years after his untimely death, using video and Elvis' vocal from the 1970s, surviving musicians and members from almost all of the Gospel groups with whom he worked, gathered together for a series of special concert performances, including this version of Elvis' most beloved Gospel song, "How Great Thou Art".
The Jordanaires, The Imperials, The Stamps, The Sweet Inspirations and Millie Kirkham join with Elvis' stunning Grammy award-winning vocal performance of "How Great Thou Art".

This beautiful, gifted man sang with his heart & soul. No one sings How Great Thou Art as well as Elvis. His gospel songs really move people. God took him so he could sing with the angels in heaven. Today, people are still listening to him. There will never be anyone to compare to Elvis. RIP.

I grew up when the Beatles were on top and had the opportunity to see them live when they toured Australia they were good but I was always drawn back to Elvis ,I’ve nearly all his cd’s dvd ‘s and back when records were the only choice I had many of his LP albums .

Elvis was birthed in the church at two years old. I truly believe by the fact that his precious mother ms. Gladys taking Elvis to church on such an early age established his deep love for gospel music. Hence, Elvis deep love for gospel music.

When Elvis sang he did so with intense emotion. I love all of his songs because regardless of what Elvis sang, he took the audience on a wonderful journey. When I hear Elvis singing, I close my eyes. It is a wonderful feeling. Elvis died way too soon but we do have his wonderful music.

When I hear him singing this song I think of how much he loves the Lord! The last thing I heard was that he was living in Kansas City and going by the name of Jesse Garon. Dr. Donald Hinton claims he was treating him for over five years and says he’s alive and well! Who really knows right? He would be 87 today and I seriously doubt he is still alive!

Elvis Presley, deja, dans sa jeunnese, avait une voix or pour chanter des chansons qui etaient tres variees, jouer de la guitare et danser sur scene.
Je dedies ce superbe gospel a mon pere Mr Yves Bournot, ne en 1935, ayant fait son service militaire en Allemagne, lorsqu il avait une vingtaine d annees, decede a Noel, en 2020 d une crise cardiaque, ainsi qu a ma mere, nee en 1936 en Alsace , a Colmar, decedee en 2013.
Ces evenements m ont provoque un choc post draumatique, ca c est traduit par de l anorexie, je pesais 40 kg pour une taille d un metre 63.
Maintenant, je m exprimes en ayant des activites exterieures, en dansant, en chantant au karaoke, en lisant et en faisant du theatre et de la relaxation.
Maintenant, je me dis, que la vie ne s arrete pas a la mort, car, je pries pour mes parents qui ne sont plus la, et, je penses qu il y a une seconde vie apres la mort, et, je me dis que mes parents sont au ciel et qu ils me regardent de la haut.
