Brother, I always wanted to install a blow off valve to my Passat 1.8T but I never knew where it is located to change it, you could show it in a video, you are amazing

Ha! Appreciate that. I’m cool with just the intake. The blow off doesn’t really have much more turbo woooshhhh! Sound. For the money anyway. But thanks much. If I ever do a BOV I’ll be sure to do a video. 💯

The diverter valve on these 1.8 tsi engine are really hard to change since the turbo is behind the engine. I know someone that changed it, and it only eliminated the turbo whine if you are tuned. I have the APR 93 tune, and it has an obnoxious whine at wide open throttle.

Actually I’ve not installed one before. You can get one and it may give you more sound but I’m going to leave that one alone. But I did think about it at one time. Ha! Turbo is definitely hard to get too.

Good idea man. Side note. Use a 15 torx to screw out the center plastic things. They will just pop out. I did it all one handed. Look forward to the short. Thanks man. Hope it helps. If you need more tension you can bend the end of the spring part that goes in the hole. Just to make it shorter.

@@grind-it-out yep I’m gonna have to bend it. Or buy a different spoiler. Adjustment didn’t overcome the weight of the rubber spoiler.

Damn. Spoiler king is heavy. Did it help a little? See if you can pull it back past the holes just to see. Rest it on the back of that thing if it will stay.
