Marty you could’ve easily partnered with skillshare, or any number of services that the UA-cam community has 1000 free collective hours of- but you are actively trying to advance peoples careers and helping them grow as musicians, in every aspect. That fuckin rock and roll dude.
Are you going to upload that katana patch to your website?
PLEASE DO MORE MAIDEN
My kid is going to flip when he gets home from school and sees this. He's been learning this (and its not bad), but he loves watching your vids and he'll be psyched. Thanks, Marty!
You’re an awesome person dude
You’re an awesome father! Hats off to ya
That is the coolest thing ever bro, ur a helluva dad
Damn that is so cool that you have a bond with your son like that🤘🏽
This hits home man, bet he’s a great kid 🤘
The riff is so iconic in this song, I love it
As more of an old school blues based guitarist, I like venturing into metal to stretch myself. I remember my first time soloing to Rock You Like A Hurricane and how my blues rock feel wasn’t really cutting it and decided to learn some metal riffing and soloing to add to my tool bag. Love the 80s metal guitar 👍
Scorpions. ... That's powerful Metal.
Meaning cringe bland jam music?
Love this.. Please do more Iron maiden songs marty!!
Please do The Evil That Men Do by Iron Maiden. It’s a personal favorite of mine, and it has a killer guitar part.
Broly 🤘
I'd love an acoustic interpretation of that song
Marty, I swear every time I want to learn a song its you that comes up first, and for good reason. I'll no doubt use this vid extensively like I have many others. You are the face of guitar teachers on yt, and you're killing it
you got that right whenever i wanna learn a song ill search it and 8x/10 marty will have a vid on it alot of megadeth songs n other metal songs arent there but i will always check with professer marty first!!! hes the best teacher ever he taught me my first riffs on the e string to layla by clapton, master of puppets u name it.. ima better guitarist because of marty! im so grateful we have him
We do this in our band with me (as the singer) doing the harmony part - great fun! and if i can play it any fool can - not overly difficult even though it looks super fast and impossible on first glance - Thanks Marty, top job as always
Finally an iron maiden song please do more of these
He did it. My favorite guitar teacher played my favorite band of all time! This made my day.
That harmony with the loop sounds fantastic
oh please please. More Iron Maiden. Love them so much. Can you eventually do Strange World? Such an underrated song by them.
My God for the first time someone actually mentioned to play the verse lick NOT as a power chords but just notes D G D bleeding together. That is so helpful because I tried it with power chords and it really hard to get them up to speed and clean at the same time. I was trying to do it with different fingerings and muting combinations and could never get it to the way I wanted. Now I can, thanks so much!!
Really loved this song.one of my favourite song from iron maiden.enjoyed your tutorial.thanks a lot for the lesson.
Great lesson Marty. If you would like to learn Fear Of The Dark on guitar, CLICK HERE: ua-cam.com/video/Jvd7iKnMIVo/v-deo.html
Great Riffs. Hilarious sponsor part. Thank you Marty.
great song, definitely not beginner level. Thanks, Marty. I'll learn it when (if) I'll be able to return to my guitar
You're the king! Can you please make a lesson of the number of the beast or run to the hills next time?
Yessss definitely we need this Marty
yes. YES.
Finally something of Iron Maiden
About bloody time , some MAIDEN !
The vocals were so good I finally subscribed. Thanks Marty, Trooper is one of my all-time favourite tracks and now I can play it!
this music and your guitar is fantastic
these riffs are a crazy finger workout, i have muscles I've never noticed aching in my hand. I usually play fingerstyle, folk, and bluegrass and wanted to learn some iron maiden riffs for practicing flatpicking. Good one Marty!
Rocking that Satchel Kramer!
Been learning this for months- only been playing for half a year but I can play this song pretty decently at 80%-90% speed already, but the galloping during the verse is where most of my struggles lie! Very difficult to pull off the timing and in my case the pick moves around a lot there too.
That add is a masterpeace
Hey Marty! I love your channel and have learned from you since 2017 and would love to see some simple solo tutorials in the future
Big thanks to you MartyMusic! I am so obsessed with my guitar I am so happy that you teach songs perfectly, and I like your guitar😊
Fantastic tutorial! I would really like to see a run to the hills tutorial too❤️
Katana is such an awesome amp!!
Looked like you were working Marty. Pretty intense song and a great one. Thank you so much for sharing!!
You're simply the best teacher
thanks for the tutorial man!!! I went from being able to play nothing to well on my way with the trooper 🤘
Started learning it last week.
You are always there when you're needed the Most

Hey Marty, thank you for The Trooper guitar lesson. As usual, really appreciated!!
Hell yeah! Dave Murray is the man!
Great lesson. Thank you.
Please do a lesson for The Wicker Man.
Appreciate it Marty 🤘absolutely nailed it 🤙
I like videos like this where the song is played first for more advanced players. I just need to watch and I can basically play along to most things. Saves a lot of time. Thanks.
Great lesson. I peed my pants laughing at the lead singer impersonation😂😂
Marty is so bad ass!
You rock bro
Been waiting for you to do this for so long! Thank you
If it helps anyone to know, the Key is E MINOR ... which means the F is Sharp (#). But, it's the one note that's omitted ... at least in Part A. With Hexatonic Scales, the Lochrian Root is typically the note that gets tossed. Makes sense.
Would love to know what patch / settings you use for this.
great tune.. thanks Marty.
Marty you should tell us what you are using for effects--or is it just the Boss amp? Those are decent tones and if that's merely the amp, it would be good to know.
I was just listening to this how did you know
Your lessons are the reason I picked up guitar again
Gotta do Caught Somewhere In Time and Heaven Can Wait both from my favorite album
Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden next?😎
Or go crazy and do Aces High🙌
Whoah up the irons! 🤘
You just convinced me to buy a loop pedal, holy that was awesome!
Thanks a lot for the lesson💯❣️
I'd love to see you do a lesson on when the wild wind blows by maiden
Finally Marty made a iron maiden lesson
Thanks !
Legendary riff
Thank you!
thank you marty!!! could you make a video for people are strange by the doors?
Damn Marty, that gallop was glorious!!
Thank you marty ❤️
Great lesson, Marty & excellent playing. How about Aces High?🤓🎸🎵🎶You are a born entertainer.
Hell yeah I love you for doing this
Love that guitar Marty! Top man
Awesome i am trying thanks
Twin trills! Sorry for multiple comments! So good!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we get the number of the beast 😁 especially the intro 🤩
I love Maiden. Saw them on their Out of retirement tour and their last tour before the pandemic.
They've never been 'out of retirement'
@@ryanhennessey977 it was their 1st tour back in the states. And yes, they hadn't played nor went on tour in years. The Somewhere Back in Time tour I believe is what it was called. 2006. Their 1st tour back.
@@christophervincent8420 somewhere back in time was 2008. 2006 was A Matter of Life and Death album your. Early Days was 2005 (on Ozzfest); 2003 was Dance of Death album, 2000 was Brave New World.
@@ryanhennessey977 funny thing was Albuquerque NM was their favorite stop. They were only on their tour in the States there 2008. Not sure about Ozzfest. But a friend of mine was a Maiden super fan. He didn't hear anything before then.
If Marty likes this he’s the best guitar teacher on this app
Wow this is a challenge. Love it 😍

Hello man, I have the NUX Mighty Lite BT, should I put in on Distortion or overdrive for this song?
