Rives BFK etching paper. Probably best to source this from your local store so you can look after the paper and not have it posted unless you are buying a large amount of paper and it will be looked after. There is nothing worse than getting hundreds of sheets all with a indent in them. Having said that you can actually source this paper from amazon:

Some people have been extremely happy with the state of the paper when it arrived (and some not!)
I love this paper it is soft and lights are lifted easily from it.

Loved this,Scott! Appreciate your unique technique. One request: a close-up at the end would have made this perfect. I soo want to see the silhouetted
land at the end. Thanks.
Hi Ann! No worries! I do normally show a photo of the artwork at the end. Don’t know why I didn’t that time!! 👍👍
@@ScottSwinson Brilliant! Thanks so much for the reply.
Beautiful sunset

@@ScottSwinson We have such skies in Summer.
Wow, Scott you make beautiful creations. I love how you make it look so easy when it really isn't. You're an inspiration.
Hi Elizabeth! Thanks! It does not feel easy at times when I want to create a certain effect but can't do it the way I would like! But that's what keeps me coming back for more! Thanks for watching! Cheers Scott
Thank you
You are always welcome Magzamani!
Awesome artwork..!
Great vid Scott. So good to see you do another beautiful large sky and love the silhouetted trees and buildings. Inspiring.
Thanks Jen! It was pretty challenging! There was a much longer video for you about it on Patreon! I still have more learning to do to create something I'm totally happy with! Thanks for your support in 2021!
Sweet
Thanks Socrates! 🙏

Thanks Annika! I just enjoy the process and want others to share in that! I could do it all day! lol
That kind of sky can be quite tricky to do. Good for me to see how you do it, great demo, thanks!
Hi Riffs! Yes not easy in some ways! Glad it was helpful! 👍👍

Thanks Socrates!
very very nice! thank you.
No worries Norina! Glad you liked it! 👍👍
thanks, Scott for your work ... artists are special people, they see the world better)
please write down what kind of paper you are using ..
Hi Ann! You are always welcome! I nearly always put in the description what paper, paints and brushes I used. Check it out! I paint most of my paintings on Rives BFK etching paper 280gsm white. Sometimes I use Arches cold pressed or saunders and waterford cold pressed papers too. Cheers Scott
@@ScottSwinson thanks 👍
Beautiful! The sky looks super granulating… I know you use W&N artist quality but I’ve not seen them granulate like that before in you other tutorials… do you ever use Granulating medium or Daniel Smith paints (I’ve heard they’re more granulating than W&N)… thanks so much for your tutorials!
Hi Marc! Maybe it is the amount of water I use! I have not used many DS colours or any mediums much! I am sure I will delve into different brands and mediums over the next couple of years! Glad you like the tutorials! Cheers Scott
What paper do you use? You probably have it written somewhere but I've not payed attention
I mostly use Rives BFK etching paper, 280 gsm, white. I buy them in full sheets. 56cm x 76cm. 👍
@@ScottSwinson 280gsm for all the water you use? Wow! Is this paper good for "traditional" water colour? Glazes? Detail work? Coz it works really well for you and if it's cheaper than arches I'll give it a go to be honest. I've made a decent amount of money selling small originals this last year, but if I can cut my cost down more then I'm laughing. I do really like how arches behaves though. I tried Mozart paper, it's nice but it has a weird finish and doesn't behave that well for layering. I've tried a few other cheapies but I don't want to risk a new expensive paper being crap, if you get what I mean.
Beautiful piece for this video by the way as always :)
@@ScottSwinson oh, it is Arches paper? Is that what I'm reading correctly on the website? Interesting, I shall investigate further
