I have been shooting hoyt for 25 years and my drawlengh is 26in. I have been waiting for a efficient cam like this where I can get the max for drawlengh! Thanks Hoyt 👍
Just bought one. It's sweet, might be the best bow i ever shot. The draw cycle is stiff. Or maybe crisp.it feels Like a super cold sprite. AHHHH refreshing. It's super fast. Same draw length, same arrow and still 10 fps faster than my z1s. Harder draw but nothing crazy. Excited to see some blood on it
Nice review again. I can never understand why reviewers don’t attempt to get right on 70#? Also impressive weight, adds perspective to your weight in RX9 review.
I love shorter axle to axle bows. I like lite and eat too carry. The bow is not the only gear we carry. Ounces equal pound and pounds equal pain. Whenever I can cut weight I am for it.
Hello PJ I like the new Hoyt Ax2-29 . But here is my dimlima I'm around 28 draw I was hoping I could try 28-1/4 that my only issue with new bow. I'm going to shoot it and the 32
I think this one is for me. Question: they make the AX2 29 in a short draw (23-27). I have a 27 inch draw. Would I be better off with the SD at max draw or the standard 25-30 @27”?
@WolfinWolvesClothing713 dont you worry about my skills, Im good. And I got a press. But shiming, pulling axles, dealing with spacers etc. is a pain in the butt and other brands offer easy tuning for the same money.
@WolfinWolvesClothing713 Even if a person does have a press and can do it, what advantage does that have to a brand that allows you to tune "on the fly"
Does the camo wear off the riser quicker than the solid colors? I know that was a problem back in the day with mathews.Sorry for the silly question I haven't bought a new bow in 14 years. Thanks for the review.

@@bmook019 bows have not changed since like 2010 and actually they have went backwards. Most are slower and heavier now. Only thing that changes is the $$$$$ 🤣🤣 I have several older bows that prove this 🤡🤡
@justinlee2642 that's categorically false. Although the older bows ere awesome, there's no doubt they've improved. I'm sure you're just a keyboard warrior who can't shoot anyway.
@ So it was Hoyt who told me after we made the video that 2020 was the only time they had a sub 30 inch bow. They mentioned the Spyder Fx but said….”but that was a short draw premium bow and not a flagship “
I took a mach 34 with a 30" front bar out and killed my first buck with it. I never understood why everyone wants a super compact bow. If the bar is hitting branches my arrow might and im not taking that risk
Lol. The yokes have been around since darton patented it, and the lower stab mount has been around for years, on lots of different bows. Also, adding unnecessary exclamations, doesn't make you more right!!!!!
At $1, 450 MSRP, that's steep. Will take the APA Archery Black Mamba 29" at 3.5 LBS AT $1, 230 MSRP, and if you don't have an authorized dealer close to you, you can order one directly from them. And you can make adjustments and even change your string and cables with no bow press.
@@LancasterArcherySupply You are welcome. I called your shop last week looking for the bear persist in left hand, was pretty much told off. Instead of wanting my business and taking the order, I was told to call back in a month or so. Talked to bear archery and was told the dealer should be able to just order a left hand for me. Not only did bear lose a customer, but so did your shop. No wonder people are getting sick and tired of bow shops.
@@jfphotography69 I agree with you on the bows being over priced. Back during my career days, I bought a new bow, or two every year (just paid for them with overtime money). I'm doing better than most people on my retirement, but still shooting my 2010 PSE Vendetta XL. For compact/high performance hunting (like from a treestand, or ground blind) I lean more toward crossbows these days. I mean, you can get a very nice crossbow for half the cost of one of these bows, and 100fps faster to boot. BTW nothing pisses me off faster than $hitty customer service. @@randallflores-qr8cs I still shoot a left hand 2003 hoyt cybertec xt2000 cam and a half, I re-string it myself when needed. Was looking for a new bow with slightly more horsepower and a bit shorter axle to axle. The problem is these bow shops hardly carry any left hand compound bows, and when they do they are not what the customer is usually looking for, and many times the customer will be walking out the shop with a completely different bow, which down the road might not be the bow for them. Lancaster is not the only place I received this treatment. Called a few others before Lancaster, was told they hardly carry the top of the line bows for bear, they mostly carry the ones that will sell faster, which is understandable, but at the same time, when you have a customer on the line, your job is to make a sale. None of them asked me any questions, concerns, what I currently shoot, nothing. They pretty much acted like they wanted to get me off the other end of the line. I contacted APA archery and they got back to me the next day, ready to build my bow with a two week test drive satisfaction guarantee. Will be calling them back next week to place my order. In the meantime getting ready for rifle season here in the east coast. Had a big "state land" eight pointer sneak by me last week at seventy yards, going back Friday with my crossbow, then Saturday with the rifle.
I. They have the best accessories but they are overpriced for not being able to tune the bow at home
Yea, it's called a bow press. All these guys acting like they know what they're talking about, but don't even own a press. How often do you have to tune a bow? I'm willing to bet, that it's not often enough to matter. The whole tuning at home crap shouldn't matter, unless you're shooting the strings off, and then you should have a press too.
Who's been waiting for a sub-30-inch Hoyt for their bowhunting adventures? What do you think about the Alpha AX-2 29?
Hey, nice video.. The Carbon RX4 - alpha was 29,5 ... Klash 28 ... Kobalt is shot, too...

How is the draw compared to the lift ?
@@Getdownorlaydownbumreminds me almost exactly of my lift 29.5. Hoyt just does it better and that’s why I don’t shoot a lift anymore.
