I bought one of the Frej a few years ago and had some issues with the stacked washers separating. I approached Fallkniven directly about it, and they said that it was due to dry climate. Therefore, if you live in a dry climate and would like to purchase any of these knives w/ the stacked leather washers: Be forewarned. The laminated steel, on the other hand, is magnificent. The convex grind is so good that I am terrified to try to sharpen it myself lest I ruin the pristine factory geometry.
Any quality leather care oil will take care of that. I take it a step further after the oil has had time to really soak in 48 hrs or so I give it a coat of neutral wax.
