Hi BeeGee, this was dope! Seeing people being blown away by Dirty Loops is priceless 👌 That pianote video with Jonah, trying to reharm a Harry Styles song, sure was an eye opener into the wide world of his musical genius, I agree. Here in this their version of Thriller, we also see what a monster singer he is. (Btw, Anomaly also was a guest on pianote -another badass musician. He also features on Jonah’s solo covers of ‘Bad’ 😱☠️😱 another showcase of Jonah’s unbelievable vocals.) And as Birger said, this whole collab between Cory and the Loops was hatched during COVID -another lockdown baby;)- when the world stood still for a bit. Not so the minds of these musicians 🔥 Aron is not just a brilliant drummer, the founder of Dirty Loops, co-writer of most of their songs (including some of the choruses, harmonies and basslines) but he also edits all of their music videos. That instrumental middle section -watch it again. It’s a little disorientating in the best possible way. They switch genres as well as the time feel, as well as instruments. And Jonah switches to becoming Stevie Wonder 😎, in my view :) Also check out Cory. He’s a five star musician, funk and rhythm guitarist and plays with the world’s best. His band of horns here are partially members of the session group ‘The Hornheads’ who toured, recorded and performed with many greats including Prince. Check out more Dirty Loops. From their first album Loopified to their second one, Phoenix to their whole Cory Wong collab album Turbo to their newest releases from their upcoming new album Beagle (although more orchestral/classically inspired than the previous ones), -to absolutely everything else: everything they do is of that same mindblowing quality. “Next to You” is one such masterpiece ⭐️ 👍☺️🤘
Cory Wong does some great stuff on this track too - you just have to listen closely to pick it up since it's more in the background of the mix. You could check out a couple of the instrumental tracks from their collab album - maybe "Turbo" or "Ring of Saturn" which features Cory a bit more. Great reaction by the way keep it up! 🙂
Fun fact: this was recorded in different continents, Cory and the brass in the US and Dirty Loops in Sweden. Aron, the drummer, then edited it to look like they were on the same scene. Lights, cameras and carpet was determined by Aron beforehand.
@@DanJiseiuh, let’s not get started on Jacob Collier…..the genius of this man! Btw, Jacob is good friends with Jonah. They’ve collaborated on one of Jonah’s songs from his solo album, “Independent Girl”, and it’s insane!!
Cory is a funk player, he's not about flashy solos, he's a groove machine - and he suffers a bit in the mix here. A fellow Minnesotan, he got the seal of approval from the GOAT himself - Prince. And he frequently gets together with Prince alums to lay down the funk law. Both his own band and his other main gig as a featured player in Vulfpeck are highly recommended. (The horn section here is his and features a couple of Prince alums).
Even when you watch Cory Wong and the Wong Notes on their own, Cory rarely takes traditional guitar solos. He's the writer, arranger, organizer and front man but hands off the spot light to the other members of the band.
It's hard to go wrong with Dirty Loops, although I don't like their new stuff very much. The playing is spot on but I don't care for the compositions. This cover track is done extremely well though.

@@birger4788 wow that’s wild!!!
Cory Wong performed with Vulfpeck - his band is Cory Wong and Wong Notes.
Always check out the credits on a Dirty Loops video, you will often be rewarded...
Great reaction! React to Dirty Loops "Next To You" I think you like it....
Great reaction! Personally I think this is the best cover ever made of any song... ever.
If you don't count Jacob Colliers cover of All night long ;)

Dirty Loops dropped their whole new album “Beagle” on Bandcamp yesterday! It’s beyond words crazy!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Try "Work shit out" if you like drums

Michael Jackson version is the best - best selling album of all time.
Check out Rings of Saturn and Turbo. Cory is a great rhythm guitarist.
Can you give a reaction to their latest come out. Living for the City from Stevie Wonder.
