Oh, by the way, you're 100% right about zappers for two reasons. I think I've seen those *really* good players die THE MOST to zappers, flat out. At least when defending. the other reason is, with the buffs, the rifle could definitely have the place to be the "zapper hunter" God i hate zappers so goddamn much PLEASE I HATE THEM

As a rifle enthusiast I would say goods in obj maps are
-Catacombes
-San Sebastian
-Vardo (Depending if you have a shit sapper or sth but Seamen mostly would just counter the crowd control)
- Copenhagen, if you have good aim / good Pc and not a shit one (Based on the video shown)
In Bezerina its just cool

I found that the rifle was most effective (at least for me) in the Catacombs of Paris, mainly when you're defending the bridge and holding out until the boat arrives. Being at the front and tossing grenades into the horde while sniping at barrels really made me feel like a badass.

problem is with the rifle (for me) is that there is no good place to use it in
I feel like there's just not enough extremely long sight lines which the rifle could exploit
it's not quite the case of "the rifle is bad", but rather "the rifle is overkill"
if there were more maps with extremely long sightlines and possibly more tanky specials which could be an extremely high priority target, I think it's strengths could finally shine

They should remake this. Maybe i think like adding an outline to zombies and a simple zoom when you are using the aim button that would really feel like you are marksman

The rifle fits my coward playstyle sometimes, but I sometimes do a frontliner with officer.

It is pretty useful in saving grabbed teammates that are too far too reach and its high penetration allows you to almost always free them. However the nock gun can work just as well but then again its for the seaman so the rifle is basically line infantries version of the nock gun
i do like the rifle simply because it has insane accuracy
I have nothing much to add onto this video since you covered most of it too. Although i will add that this gun is extremely fun in pvp and especially testzone pvp because you can snipe from the other side of the map 🤑

Maybe instead of highlighting zappers it could add a magnifying glass from that time like a small telescope to replace the iron sights, highlighting zappers would feel weird(it’d also fit the game for the telescope since it takes place during the 1800s telescopes were made before the 1800s)

The rifle is a solution looking for a problem.
There just isn't any situation in game where you need any more range than the musket. There's a small handful of cases where the penetration might be nice but they are so rare you should just use the musket. 5 less penetration is worth the much faster reload.
You know what made the rifle used more often? The headless horseman. It dealt a ton of damage to him (untill they nerfed it and reduced it's damage by 15% against him)
If G&B had new stronger and tankier enemies that are dangerous to melee and need to be taken out from a far I could see the rifle becoming useful.
I use the rifle because hitting 360 quick scope is an orgasmic experience

Honestly, i find the rifle better than the nock gun in endless maps like Tyrolean village while wiping out big lines of zombies. For some reason, whenever I use it, you'd have to load it to full or to at least four to get okay results with it. And at that point the rifle was both killing more zombies at a time and reloading faster.

Max distance: how is that useful. There's no use for that much distance unless you like sniping the ship.

Killing zappers: are you actually serious? It only takes like 3-4 heavy sabre shots to kill them

I see the rifle being one of the stronger options for the Alamo map when it comes out.
Melees won’t be too viable so the bayonet is near useless, the accuracy helps a lot for sniping bots from afar, and most importantly, 15 penetration will actually be relevant as enemies marching towards you in formation go in a COLUMN.
The rifle is the only weapon where you get a teeny tiny hammer to hit the cartridge into the gun making it the BEST gun ever

I mean. Rifle can be used in 2-3 ways. Either a escape card. Or if ur gona main your gun. Rifle is a VERY GOOD GUN. But it has to be used properly and on proper maps. Only half of the maps are usefull.... for the rifle. This video is somewhat biased but is very good at explaining why I, a "rifle main" dont use it very often.

The first thing I know about the rifle is that is actually a real weapon called the Baker rifle
11:10 I think a great way to buff the Rifle would be to make its reload speed faster when you hit headshots.
Would make sense for a marksman weapon whom's design revolves around precision, range, and long reload speed.
Would reward skill since the rifle is 100% precise (without taking into account ping, but that can be somewhat mitigated by skill aswell)
There could be different multipliers depending on what target is headshotted. A zapper is slower and bigger, so easier to headshot than a runner, bomber, igniter or shambler, so headshotting a zapper would benefit the reload speed less than headshotting a runner (tho idk why you would spend around 10 seconds reloading just for that)
Those multipliers could also stack. So if you headshot multiple in one shot, your reload speed is even faster than if you only headshot 1.
There could also be a streak mechanic. Meaning if you keep headshotting at least 1 zombie for each shot (higher for shamblers if 1 is deemed too easy), you get a higher reload speed buff. (With a limit to not make it too op, but shots where you get alot of headshots would be rare anyways, shamblers wobble and their ai is made in a way so they don't align perfectly most of the time)
I'm barred from suggestions, so feel free to suggest this idea, but crediting me would be nice.
If you want to promote a head hunter playstyle just make body shot damage much less and make headshots oneshot literally anything.
Also that's an extremely hard suggestion to code just make it like the Bazaar Bargain where the more heads you take the less time to charge a shot (In this case reload a shot)

Just bought the Rifle yesterday because of this video, and it is OVERPOWERED, literally turning into my favorite weapon already. But it sometimes gives me schizophrenia because I forget about the ADS and remember the Bayonet 💀.

I love the rifle, and I respect your opinion. Anyway, I think the rifle is also great for the last part of the catacombs.
I feel like they should add a scope as a utility item that takes up the grenade slot, it would be a easier sight to look down because in my opinion that sights suck. It would also be neat because it make you fully a sniper.

I think for reload, instead of the movement debuff, instead make it so that the gun slows with continuous firing, so the first time u fire, the reload is 12 seconds, but every time after that it increases by .75 seconds, the only way to reset it back is to not fire for some time, maybe it starts by decreasing the reload to 15s first and then it decreases by 1 second every 5 seconds of break so that in the 15 seconds you reload back at the 12s, so a tiredness system

Id recommend using rifle in tyro, WHEN theres igniters, zappers or bombers. Use it when most of your team is dead in tyro too. Because more zombies come. And tell your sapper to place down caltatrops, because they help rifle.
Nock is way better and that’s fax 📠
The penetration on nock is better, it kills more zombies, is stronger than rifle with even 1 bullet, just way more useful, rifle has dmg that isn’t needed (195 is overkill) there is just one reason for the accuracy AND range, snipe BUT carbine does a better job just don’t use rifle dude

I am a mobile player myself and I have to that point played only on mobile since my PC is broken. I have 80+ hours in G&B and I think I can say that rifle is very good when playing on mobile. Especially when I snipe the bombers that can just obliterate teammates that arent careful enough.
It makes me larp as an Austrian Skirmisher and that is all that matters, I don't care about stats, I care about fashion first, and Rifles are the best fashion for Skirmishers.
