I Don't know man. I grew up with this game and this scene was super emotional and amazing when I was 14, but if we're being honest. It's pretty cheesy. The walking battle tank literally growls dude. Don't get me wrong it holds a special place in my heart but if they did it perfectly and you had to watch it with zero nostalgia goggles on I'm not sure it would fly, especially without the whole experience of a 10 hour plus game behind you.

Its like saying Ironman can take Spiderman without his armor. Dave wouldnt have won against him earlier had he not been the protagonist. If you were to have Fox ditch the Cybernetics then sure Id give the edge to Liquid. I still love this series but I can still recognize its inconsistencies for the sake of story.

I bet mgs2 Cyborg was meant to be fox. Same with Raiden. I strongly believe, they wanted him to actually be Franke Jaeger as Grayfox. More Advanced, more Upgraded. I would have been so amazing, seeing the Story of Fox And Snake Fighting side by side. Faox Rescuing Snake again in MGS4, and maybe THEN sacrificing himself, only to be found by the doctor, and being turned "Human Agian" So he could Rejoin Naomi, While they actually turned from "Siblings" to Lovers, and her Bearing his child. Raiden then could have become another Character entirely. Or maybe even a Student Of fox, Stepping in for him, THEN Becoming the next Cyborg.

When I was 13-14 years old I came up with a game idea where you play as Gray Fox...you basically sit in a hospital wired up and fulfill missions like a toy. Eventually you break out and the story leads to how Gray Fox gets to Shadow Moses. I'll never get a Gray Fox game voiced by Greg Eagles...but at least I got small taste of what it would be like in VR Missions.

The dialogue give metal gear characters so much more depth and story.
Most Games lack this kind of heart and passion in them now 🫠 but Metal Gear is a series definitely worth it's Merit, timeless classic👌
