Harley is good for mid lane but since he is single target(in my opinion), it is best to go aoe mages rn. well it depends on the draft. he is at least better than eudora :)

Mid laner Harley playstyle is very different from AOE CCs like Aurora, Vale, etc or zoners like Chang'e. You constantly gank other lanes. You help your sidelaners dominate their lanes and destroy the side turrets and force in on the mid lane from both lanes.
Just a thought: even in 2024 damage built Chou users and Gusion players are yet to realize how annoying to their team... They think they are cool....but in High Lobby they are food for the enemy.

I prefer purify on spell. Once you get sky piercer and a magic item you can just tower dive get a kill and run if you have spell ready. It's effective too since my server tries to play safe with map awareness in mid game and late game.

The thing is that almost in all MOBA games (exclude LoL/WR/Both Dota), Mid Lane is a role that’s really important. And most Junglers are Phys, so having a mage that has AOE skills is really important during team fight. Cuz the enemy force to build hybrid def = won’t counter your dmg and your team too much.
Honestly I’m surprised people don’t utilize radiant armour mid game, especially if there’s a mage or mage/assassin that can swiftly climb the boards if you don’t at least armour up or continuously kick em down.
His primary role should be mage, not assassin. Even if he's played mainly as jungler he is still a ranged hero who isn't supposed to maximize the benefit from thunder belt.
