Dweezil, two things I love about you channeling your Dad's unique guitar style. One: It's appeared to me as a kind of poly-diatonic lyrical noodling that is just fun to listen to. Two: All this 'noodling' can come across as deceptively simple. It's clearly not. All throughout this show, you just nailed it. Your whole band brings great music to life. Thank you for carrying on a tradition of excellence in music that is intelligent, irreverent and most of all entertaining.
Super cool to see Shelia is still there. I was very lucky enough to see and meet her and dweezil back at some shows in 2008. This show and band really killed it and loved hearing the different versions of the songs. Hope to catch them if they ever come to uk again
Zappa forever!!!!!!! Greatest myusic and vibes ever!!!!!! In this earth realm although sometimes we get see them venture outside of said realms!!! Ahhhhh what a time to be walking this earth!!!!!!! God bless the zappa collective!!!' 🙏✌🏼🔥
Just saw them in Atlanta. If all they did was walk out, play this version of "Inca Roads" and leave, it still would've been worth the price of admission.
Note the Roxy dress code - black t-shirts and jeans. FZ dictated those for the original 1974 Roxy performances, so songs from any of the four days could be cut together without continuity problems with the band's clothes.
I was there too, it was their best show since the Roxy tour IMHO. Thanks for uploading, I was in front of the stage left stack and this is much clearer. Love this band!!
If you could play like this, you'd never need a real job. Tremendous musicianship. Doing what you love and making money. I also realize it's hard work.
I imagine Dweezil sometimes feeling like he is talking to Frank playing some of this stuff. Many of the songs are in ways complicated but also able to be memorized in a way that makes them recreateable
Apples and oranges. FZ improvisational skills, musicality w/ all his ‘so called’ theory were off the charts. And non guitar keyboard parts that Dweezil nails are extremely impressive but Frank realized why waste time learning that with all so many other guitarist could do that for his bands (Vai, Keneally etc.). FZ main gig was composing. His music or sonic sculptures on his guitar.
were there any front of house stage speakers??? cuz i couldn't hear dweezil for my life sitting near the front... this video also sounds like he is way spread out and extremely low in the mix. guy sitting next to me was pissed. turn up dweezil
What’s the first song? I’m an old man now I just can’t name it. Great concert seeing Frank’s guitar really made my day. I can’t believe Dweezil takes it out of his house that’s very nice of him.

Not sure if you want to add it to the timestamps, but they also played Twenty-One between A Pound for a Brown and Cheepnis.
Excelente para estudar bateria!
well, this is a fucking awesome show...
The RICTUS IS ETERNALLY STRONG !!!
I know this won't please all FZ fans but I prefer to listen to his son who I consider to be musically much better than his father.

Yeah but there is a reason why he plays all his father's music ..Frank was the wiz at composing
DWEEZIL ZAPPA BAND....Frankly... iZ.....BEST IN THE USA

Is that a real band, or is that an E Sreet Band?
what do you mean? That is the exact band Dweezil is touring with this summer.
@@Thrunabulax10they said this during cosmic debris as a Bruce Springsteen joke as this was New Jersey concert. There’s many littered in this show
😄
