Easily the best audio and video of this tour! I had to give up to tix to a show last month and was seriously bummed. Thanks for providing a taste of of what I missed.
Great stuff. Thanks for doing this. A friend just attended the San Antonio gig tonight and I was able to use your recording to sync up with them and enjoy the experience with them, way down here in Australia...Especially enjoyed Steve's duet with himself in Sheltering Sky...
At *2:07:25* you can see Adrian fist bumping me. Later at *2:07:36* you can see Steve doing the same. I was the first kid that got out of my seat and started dancing that song. Probably was the greatest moment of my life.
Great sounding audio, TopHats. Best of the tour so far. Mind sharing what equipment you used to capture the audio? It sounds IEM sourced or a very good cardioid mic. I recorded them in Portland and Seattle and will be sharing those.
@@sound-ur1bq You'd think. Since it's the VSO's home. I was sitting in the middle of row 6 in the balcony and found the sound to be pretty muddy up there in the beginning. I felt like it was more dialed in for the floor. It was much better after the 20 min line up for the washroom tho...
@@carlfisher3924 yes i can understand, we have a venue like this in France, the Olympia, where the sound can be good upstair but bad on the floor or the other way. It take sometimes for the FOH guy to get the sound right with peoples in there.
@@Woolookologie it must be an "inside job". Since the source had access to Tony's and other photos(backstage and from behind the kit). Plus the soundcheck images/audio. Too bad Steve wasn't clearer in the mix. Actually, I didn't find Danny that prominent in the mix either. But I think it has more to do with Adrian's sound being dominant.

Smile of a waiting man.
AMAZING, SIMPLY AMAZING !
Great DC closeups
Smashing ! Man,
killer upload..............how is it I'm hearing such defined Stereo? Are you getting a mix out of the FOH desk?
Danny’s part in Sheltering sky is getting more complex. Steve and Adrian’s interlocking parts, too. Last show next week! 6th row on Tony’s side!
I was not as familiar with the songs in the 1st set, but they are definitely worth hearing!
stunt guitars from Steve Vai ! Franck must be dancing actually
Steve Vai is very humble before that massive Crimson Tower and I like it
Great job, thanks for the nod, and thanks for grabbing the whole thing, a great night had by all!
Love u man

it tells a lot of the actual sound in the venue, if not the sound board !

Right, this sounds incredibly crisp to the point I'm pretty convinced it's straight from the soundboard.

This is a dangerous place...for insurance CEOs.
