During the conference call following the release of Tesla's Q4 2024 earnings, Musk announced that Tesla aims to build 10,000 Optimus robots by the end of 2025. However, he emphasized that this is an internal target, and Tesla is more likely to produce only a few thousand units. He also stated that these units would perform useful tasks at Tesla, specifically for research and manufacturing processes at the company’s factories.
