I live in knotty ash, Alder hey used to be my playground when i was a kid in the 70's and 80's, I'll never forget it. Before it closed down i was a volunteer at mcdonald house,i stayed there while my son was ICU, i took photos of all the murals up and down the corridors, before the demolition,
I miss this hospital and even though I’m 14 now, I still remember this because I was always in there having surgeries! Part of me wants to keep it hisosspitql but the new hospital is so good and open spaced!
@@JamesOhanlon i was in this Alder Hey until 2007 when i was 16. I had my ear operation here and my mum never left the side of the hospital bed i was in

Yeah, they were great them, remember them well from when i was in there as a kid. Always brightened the place up

Seen injured kids wait fucking hours to get seen too ther a joke
i was patient in the old alder hey , for 6 weeks in 1960. i really was looked after after for the time i was in the hospital.
