One of those songs that kinda defined the 80’s, one the biggest hits if the decade, and one if my favorites! I remember me and my cousin were listening to it( probably watching the video on da MTV😁✌🏾👍🏾) , and both of us us agreed that this song would still be played a decade later, so now it’s decades later and young people like yourself are experiencing it. ✌🏾👍🏾🔥 you should check out the music video one day…
A perfect example of what the 80s did so well. melodic yet simple layers of thoughtful musical lines with a vocal the ties it so well together. You might wanna check out Quarterflash - Night Shift
Martha Davis of The Motels played one of the The Three Most Important People in the World alongside Fee Waybill of the Tubes and Clarence Clemons of The E-street Band in the 1989 science fiction comedy film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Also check out "Take the L" the follow up single to "Only The Lonely".
Just Jammin i love your Videos and it blesses me to find you covering one of the Greatest 80s Songs. I followed this group all my teens and 20s years and this is probably the most recognized and loved. But there is a gap in the Motels music where the early hits and the latter hits came on the scene. I was born in the 60's Grew up int the 70's and Partied in the 80's and I know the 80s music so well. One of the Motel's greatest songs in their latter years before they broke up was "SHAME" and in my opinion maybe there best song. Nobody will cover this song when I request and I can't figure out why, it time and time again other places and I can't for the life of me figure out why. So I am asking and pleading with you to cover the song "Shame" by the Motels you will be one of the 1st and only reaction channels to cover it and I think you will be really surprised and happy with he FeedBack you get from this song. Amd hey it takes place in a Crazy but sexxy and wild ride Motel which I think is their Proven and Greatest hits song in their whole career. Thanks so Much I love your channel and your selection. From your Texas fan who loves music. God Bless.

Martha Davis a very expressive singer with a great voice and tight band❤
I heard this a lot in the early 80s but not much since. It sounded surprisingly fresh. I loved JJs enthusiasm for it.
The early 80s were still finding their identity.
Pretty little song, guilty pleasure for us heavy metal kids. Our moms liked this song too.

Great one. Thanks. More Motels please. They have a lot of bangers. "Take the L" is one of my favs. It's also brilliant word play, IMHO.
