You are the best painter very professional…. I’m painter too for 15 years and I know when someone is doing good jobs… you are the best painter whole world very detailed guy very friendly super nice guy… I live in California and I wish I can meet you one day that’s my dream
Thanks for the info. I have few questions if you don't mind? Would it be wiser to paint vinyl in the cooler months? How would it stand up to pressure washing or light scrubbing with a soft brush? And how often would it need to be repainted?
I just bought sherwin williams emerald with the gray jacket vinyl safe 84$ per gallon, use a paint number for discount.I painted myself with a graco x5 spray a brush and roller. Look like new siding. I had to scrub with dish soap and a car wash brush then wash again with 30second cleaner.
Is a vinyl fence ok to paint, just like vinyl siding?...Hey, great videos too! I'm out here in SoCal and just finished my garage doors, came out super good.
Thank you!!! Very informative! Can Benjamin Moore's "Revive" line of paints be used in addition to "Aura". Any preference. What a bout a Sherwin Williams option - "Duration"? I would like to paint a white vinyl fence that is actually in a full shade yard from spring through fall.
Hey I appreciate the video! I am wanting to paint a small strip of vinyl that is in the front porch area of my house. It’s hard to explain I wish I could attach a picture to show you what I’m talking about. But it only gets sunlight in the late evenings and it’s at most 10’ at the bottom and it goes up at a triangle to match the pitch of my front porch. It is currently brown and I am wanting to paint it black to go with the white/black color scheme we are wanting to do. Is this still a bad idea to paint it black even though it’s such a small area and doesn’t get much direct sun? Thanks in advance!
We wanted to paint our white vinyl pvc fence wood grain look. What paint and stain would you recommend? We were considering a creamy weathered look or a warm cedar look. Thank you.
We live in Georgia. It is almost July with temps easily in the 100 degree range. With up to .5 inch shrinkage and contraction, would it be best to wait until the late fall and paint the house when it is cooler, to avoid lines that could show up when the vinyl contracts back in colder weather? At one end of the house, it is 3 stories. I really don't want to have to climb a ladder this winter to do touch ups due to appearing lines. Please advise.
I wonder about painting vinyl at overlap joints. Will the paint stick the laps together? Will it leave an old color line when the siding expands and contracts?
The 20-30SF comment sounds way off, im assuming you meant to say 2-3 dollars. We’re in the northeast where labors probably some of the highest in the country. Materials $1.5+ SF and install is $1.5+ SF depending on type of vinyl. So about $3+ SF or $300 per square. Not including removal/disposal of existing material.
Here in northern New England vinyl siding jobs are more likely to cost $5.00 per square foot without getting into any fancier trimming options. Excludes removal and disposal.

I'm looking at painting my vinyl deck railing. They are tan now and I would like to paint them black to match the new railing I'm getting. Will this warp or is that just for siding?

Hey Chris, I am about to spray my house that is 80% brick 20% vinyl. I bought ppg permanizer in gypsum white. Do you think I would be okay to paint it with this product? The ppg rep said it is their top of the line exterior paint and I would not need any primer. Would you agree?

You could go around with an artist brush to fix all the lines at the seams that’s now showing the factory/older color that was caused by expansion and extracting… or depending on time, accessibility, size of substrate, warranty, etc it may be worthy and more efficient to re-spray? @@johnloupis2347 No, I just laugh when I see it....and if it's not prepped properly, not just power washed, the old chalky surface screws up the bond and the paint just peels off. When you sand to check if a finish is oil or water based what are you looking for after you've sanded?
Don’t think you sand to check. We use denatured alcohol on a rag. Rub it on the paint. Latex paint will come off on the rag. Oil will not.
