There's no publicly available mxgpu driver of course, you need to sign NDA to receive it even if you're lucky for them to agree to provide it. To use such GPUs comfortable without makeshift cooling solutions, you need Supermicro SC745 desktop case with GPU an assembly MCP-320-00040-0N
I have an instinct mi25 with bios from a wx9100, it allows me to obtain video output on the display port, there is a lot of information on the internet about this gpu, even to make liquid cooling mods for it, I would personally recommend that you try that gpu , it is very flexible and can be tinkered with a lot to get the most out of it, if you are going to do it, you have 2 versions, the mi25 with 8+6 PCI pins for power and the one that comes with 8+8, I would recommend the second one, but it really is Interesting and I think it could interest a large number of people. 😄
I got a real MI 50 32 gb from ebay and I'm using it in Linux where the drivers just work. But now that you showed that the reported temp and the hotspot temp can be so different you have me worried. NVTOP in linux only reports one temperature. How do I get a hotspot temp? Also, I've seen it use up to 300 watts.
He mentioned excplicitly: "During the install, just choose Vega56 or 64 for the bc-160". So, just Google newest drivers for Vega 64 - and if those doesn't install, check the version the author had.
Sorry to ask would it be feasible to get this for the ampere altra max cpu the 16gb version is like less than 300 400 but if going for the 32gb one will it be actually worth it for gaming and hiw would the higher versions of these cards do for gaming

The MI50's been at about US$120-150 since February you made this comment, and the MI25's even lower. I wouldn't call that a very high price.

you just install VII drivers and if it doesnt work then first reflash vbios
I dont get how these cards are not good for productivity tasks when Apple used them for their macs which are all about productivity

On motherboard )) you must have Cpu with internal gpu

I would love to try to flash an MI60 into something usable but for the price and the high risk it wont work...its not worth it
Tried it with my Intel i3 13100 and V540 sadly it didn't help
