      So simple, and simply beautiful. Not an ounce of fat on these things. Great design and functionality.

      Hey @jeremyroy!
      You have a couple of options. If you are putting the mirror on the left side (assuming rider's left, or clutch side), you can put a ProGuard brake protector on or you can put Rizoma Bar End on. Here are the links:

    @MotovationUSA Between these and the Stealths you have mounted on the same bike, I see the Stealths are bigger, but the position of the Cut-Edge might give them an advantage in overall rear visibility. What are your thoughts?

    • @MotovationUSA
      @MotovationUSA  5 місяців тому

      Definitely depends on your preference. Excluding the styling and holding that equal between the two:
      There is definitely an advantage in position options when it comes to the Cut Edge. You have a little more adjustment available to you based on the rotation around the bar, swing of the perch, and ball adjustment on the mirror itself. The Cut Edge scores a little higher when dialing it in to the rider position and visibility angle.
      The Stealth mirrors rotate on a single axis on the Super Sport application and two axis with the Naked Mount. The latter of the two rotating around the mounting nut and then the pivot of the winglet/mirror. The Stealth mirrors have been designed to work most effectively in the tucked position. This, coupled with the convex shape of the mirror, you will have greater visibility to the left and right of your shoulders in the single, most advantaged viewing position.
      A lot of the decision comes down to your individual use case:
      Do you prioritize having a bar end vs standard mounting position?
      Do you daily ride your bike and hate looking over your shoulder when changing lanes?
      Do you predominately ride alone and fast enough to stay in the tucked position on during long highway stints?
      etc.
      Both are incredibly constructed mirrors that share the same design language. Rizoma is known for their billet aluminum construction and attention to detail. Nothing on the market can compare heads up. Some knock offs might look similar, but none are going to stack up to the quality and support that come with Rizoma products.

    Do you know if the 3 black plastic parts are for the old mirror caps? What’s are they provided for?

    • @MotovationUSA
      @MotovationUSA  Рік тому +2

      That is correct.
      When you remove your stock mirrors, you will end up with threaded holes. The kit provides you with plastic cover caps for those holes.

      @@MotovationUSA awesome! Thanks for the fast reply. The box didn’t come with the list of each component but that’s what I thought they were. Your video was very helpful, I installed a set on a 2023 Ducati Diavel and they are AWESOME 👍🏽

    These mirrors are sexy as hell, I have them on my tuono v4, but be warned: they are SMALL.🙂 probably not a legal size in many countries (including here in Australia)... if I'd known how small they were irl I'd likely have thought twice about buying them... they look great, and I love them, but they're bloody small... FYI...

    is there a way to use the original bar end weights along with the mirror?

    • @MotovationUSA
      @MotovationUSA  Рік тому

      As you can see from the video, the mirrors mount to the supplied Cut Edge bar end. If you are mounting directly to the bar (like is done with the race bike), you will be able to, but otherwise, you will be replacing the stock bar ends.

    Yo are u able to use these mirrors in combination with something like the proguard system? Planning on building an RS660 and cant find any good looking legal mirrors so thats an idea and i already have the proguard system

    • @MotovationUSA
      @MotovationUSA  9 місяців тому

      If you are planning on using "Race Bike" fitment (the last install in the video), you will be able to run the ProGuard system and the mirror independently. Unfortunately, the Cut Edge mirror does not integrate with the ProGuard system.

    Will these fit a 2020 S1000xr?

    • @MotovationUSA
      @MotovationUSA  6 місяців тому +1

      Rizoma does not list fitment for the XR. Not sure of the threaded insert size, so you might be able to make them work via a mounting kit if you really wanted to.
      These are likely lighter than the stock bar ends, so you may see more vibration come through the bars.

    Got mine on the sf848… arguably a waste of money as I can’t see anything with my more upright position… sports bikes maybe but on this. Useless

    • @MotovationUSA
      @MotovationUSA  11 місяців тому +1

      Dialing the mirrors in can be a bit of trial and error, and can be rotated to be above or below the bars. Pretty slick setup.
      Small bar end mirrors are not going to provide the same visibility as the large, ugly stock mirrors.

      @@MotovationUSA I messed with it some more and I had to go under the bar to get any kind of visibility. I had some rizomas previously that were in the oem positions that worked amazingly. Just took some tinkering with these, thanks for the reply
