Since we're talking about the Maus, why not make a video about ideas how Snail could fix the "hard to balance" issue (that imo they have created themselves)? I have one such idea - to split the matchmaker in two: one for WW2 vehicles and one for post-war ones. Or rather those using post-war technologies such as two plain stabilizers, HEAT-FS, thermals or laser rangefinders. That's to avoid the whole Swedish and half of the French trees fighting T-55s, Leopardz and Pattons.
My worst memory with maus is when they allowed players to research it for few days but made wrecks stay whole battle so there was horrendous amount of maus-es in matches to that point where maps like Poland became unplayable because of burning mauses blocking every street
Every time I run into this thing in my T-10A (trying to grind out Russian ground forces for fun) and maybe it’s just me but I can’t pen them and they can’t pen me from the front so it’s honestly just becomes “who’s teammates can help them first”
You can ammo rack the back of the Maus' turret if it's facing you and you're relatively close since it's flat, or you can shoot low in its hulls sides since it can pen them but it's hit or miss since it can get eaten by fuel tanks often
@@haroldotrotter9148 light tanks are awesome. Play a few games in a bmp and you’ll have a great time, especially if the enemy team has a lot of leopard players. Although the BMP2M can be a bullshit enemy sometimes, I’ve had a 3BM15 APFSDS bounce off the front plate of that thing.
I used to be so afraid of meeting the Maus way back in the day, after all the talk of how stronk it was with its armour - nowadays I see a Maus and say “Oh…it’s a Maus.” I then proceed to lob a heat shell towards it.
I legitimately can't stand playing the Maus. It's frustrating, I feel like I'm in a store stuck behind someone walking slowly and I can't get past. However, despite all the constant uptiers, it's still one of my best stat vehicles. It's really sad that it's been taken out of the game since a lot of folks are desperate to play this iconic meme tank. Just add it back, honestly.
The armour still works when you angle it, played it today and got a positive k/d but it was just so painfully boring because of the speed. Still could drive into the middle of a map and tank loads of hits while waiting for my teammates to kill the enemies. Killed some amx13 with the 75 HEAT at one point :P. Just dont spawn it unless the spawnpoint cost is 140/160 meaning a downtier.
Argh, k/d ratios are always positive! You can't kill -1 tanks, neither can you die -1 times. They can be greater or smaller than 1, but negative isn't a thing.
The game would be almost over before your 3rd spawn as Maus. You'd get wacked by CAS on the way to the point or ambushed by bmps and ptl02s hiding in the bushes.
I actually have WAAAAY too much fun playing the Maus. Yeah, it's slow and will take you forever to get to the front, but a well-played Maus will either decimate the enemy team, or be used as a shell sponge and aggro the entire enemy team allowing your team to clear them out. And if you get frustrated because you have to repair all day, just use the HEAT shell to take out tracks and cannon barrels from the enemy and force them to sit forever and repair
@@DatBoi_TheGudBIAS Unfortunately that happens to every tank in the game. Helicopters were a huge mistake, being killed by CAS is just the most frustrating thing in the game and HEAT kills everyone, but the Maus due to the huge spacing of the crew requires at LEAST 3 pens by heat, darts or apds to die. I've also noticed something interesting with the Maus: it feels like you only die to CAS because you actually do, everything else takes ages to kill you so its usually planes and helis who either get the final shot or some of the only ones who get to kill you instantly
And only about 1 out every 100 people who ask for it to be downtiered ever say that. Spookstin is blowing the proportions of hiw many people say such things and exaggerate it a lot despite only a minority having such views and the majority just wanting it to be moved to 7.3.
@@Gary_The_Metro You could say that 7.3 is a good fit, there are plenty of tanks armed with heat, and many of the Maus’ rival heavy tanks full caliber rounds are capable of penetrating it on the side, or the turret cheeks. Also there’s always the fact that 6/10 deaths in the Maus for me are to aircraft ordinance. But I do think it’s perfectly capable at 7.7 and 7.3 is a little excessive
I do think 7.3 is a reasonable place for it, the problem with it's current BR is that it constantly faces 8.7 MBTs that can pen it at almost any angle and which it has a hard time frontally penetrating. Most tanks in the 7.3 range can either pen it frontally or from the side. Putting it at a BR where it's armor is actually a big advantage wouldn't be a big deal because the armor is the only thing the Maus has going for it. It's gun is okay, but it has an abysmal reload and moves like an obese brick.
“It’s unfair that some tanks can pen the Maus anywhere in an uptier, so it should be moved down to a BR where it’s unkillable for 90% of vehicles and can pen literally anything anywhere”
I member my meathead slugfests against the Maus in my IS-4M when we were the only top dogs. Good times. Then the M103 nation attacked and the age of HEAT-FS had begun.
I will say, the M4A3 can indeed pen a maus. On a very very small part on the top that gives access to starting a fire. This requires 2 m4a3s and a very specific ledge that lets you go above the maus
Yeah I remember when they announced they were removing it and all I thought was "why not just put to the side as a vehicle available at rank V or just folder it with the "new" M48. Just make it a side vehicle like the denomination of T-54s. They aren't necessary to get but you can if you want to. Then I remembered I was talking about the snail and that they'll probably use it as some sort of hidden tank available on occasion like the KV-2 with the 107mm
I don't think that the Sabot APHE was for the FlaK. They experimented with sabot HE for FlaK but they built sabot AP for all large calibers, with 105/75 APHE actually being introduced for the 105mm Light Field Howitzer. There was also going to be 150/88mm AP for the Heavy Howitzers but the 128/88 AP was probably meant for 128mm AT guns, since they realized that muzzle velocity is great for being able to hit targets. Shattering of the shell was probably only a real problem due to the weird German penetration criteria that requires intact shell to penetrate, only to be detonated by explosive filler, which only sounded good in theory, as APHE fuzes rarely worked and a broken shell penetrating the armor was lethal as it is.
I am one of the people that tried for years in war thunders forum to get it into the game (theres a thread with 100+ pages about the maus were we sweated our asses off talking and promoting changes about the vehicle to gaijin) and there are real documents about it (the apheds) and it was intended to be fired at tanks. They didnt really care to produce it because the standard 128 shell was already big and strong enough to overkill anything the 128 would face
Its kinda sad that the new players cant experience Tiger 10,5 and Panther 2, damn those vehicles are so good, Maus is just a iconic tank, but the rest of the removed vehicles is very good, at least i like playing them much more than other stuff around 6.7, great lineup.
@Liebestaube One was never built and modelled in a way it would not work, one is modeled fake, the other was non functional wood. BR compression is so disastrous you don't have to choose between the 3 other Tiger II's, multiple Panthers and World War AA in the tree. The same BR of 7.0 still has M48 sadge, Ru251, Wiesel, and Kugel if not seeing lame ass spams of far future WMA's and [T]ransformer Object series is too much at 6.x.
Remember Spook, don't conflate your skill with that of the playerbase. You have ten thousand hours and know the tactics and anatomy of every tank, while most players are casual and don't have the same skill level. Personally I think the way Gaijin handled the Maus is fine. It come around every year as a super easy and forgiving "event". Anyone who wants a Maus can realistically get one and the allure of the event and its rarity brings people into the game.
They could have left it in the tech tree without it blocking another tank (like a squad vehicle) there are a lot of things that are not balanced, the T28/T95 comes to mind, or the BMP4 or the premium KA, heavy bombers have awful repair SL, so on. Gaijyn could not explain to the average germany mains thta skill is a thing
@@nahuelleandroarroyo how is the bmd 4 unbalanced? It's less armored than the bmp3. Sure it has a 4sex reload for 4 atgms then HE. But other than that, it's a light tank.
Has Gaijin ever thought about a limited matchmaking system for vehicles like the Maus? They could limit its uptiering to 8.3 or 8.0 while it stays at 7.7. Of course, if you have other 7.7 vehicles in the same lineup you can still face 8.7. You would have to use 7.3 or lower vehicles for the rest of the lineup.
Easiest way to balance the maus in my opinion is to keep it at 7.7 but prevent it from being uptiered, meaning the maus will never face anything 8.0 and above. At 7.7 there are plenty of vehicles that can face it.
Go Breda 501 (I think it's 501), it's light, it is fast, its cannon has high pen and damage output, it's just great (shell with 520 g of TNT is better than 180 g, more pen is just not needed)
Eh, you realistically don't need more than 100 grams as it usually one-shots most enemies anyway, so the extra pen is nice for some extra insurance that you'll punch through the armor 99% of the time.
You don't need more than 100 grams of TNT if you successfully pen, indeed, but if war thunder is shiting you and you did not pen something you should have, you can now overpressure it with power of 520 grams of TNT. It's also fun, when I shoot little short on light vehicle and the explosion of the shell knocks it out. So... 520g
the 520g shell will one shot 95% of tanks you get a turret/hull pen on, even through the engine and has a much higher chance of an ammo rack (say downward fragmentation in a panther/T34 turret) than the 120g. The extra pen only makes a difference on range, which you should not be operating at generally. The breda is fast and agile, you will be shooting at sides and backs often, making the extra pen pointless, but the extra bang SO useful.
I’ve had very successful flanking maneuvers in the Maus. It’s always funny to see even light tanks completely oblivious to a 200ton super heavy tank on their flank.
I love this thing, I nabbed it just before it was removed and hell gave it a talisman and it got me through a lot of that part of the tree. My only gripe is that it’s the only tank they add back for the birthday event. I never got the panther 2 and I want it so bad, same with the panther AA. But every year they add back the maus and it’s just an event a lot of us get nothing out of, especially if you got it in a previous year. As for the BR, I think 7.7 is fine. If it HAD to move maybe 7.3 and it would just go along with all the other vehicles in that German lineup (as if it wasn’t strong enough already) :/
The Maus is actually very effective. When you play as the roadblock distraction and use your survivability, you can certainly carry games. Additionally, it’s recently added round is more effective - particularly at range - than apfsds. 75mm is wonderful utility, and many thing at its BR can be penned by 100mm heat. It’s a great tank when played correctly
I think a good compromise for the maus and other similar super heavy tanks would be to disallow them from full uptiers or downtiers. I think with that the maus could reasonably be put at 7.3/7.0
"armor is only there as a last resort" well funny about that when i play my Maus my armor is my main weapon but at the same time i have become very scary at angling it
Don't mind me. Just replying to this so I can see all the butt-hurt armchair historians tell you how you're wrong, and how this tank could take over the world 'cause bigger always equals better. Just like the Yamato that is currently the world's biggest man-made reef.
I remember being a sped and rushing to get this when it first came out. I quit using it after the insane repair costs sunk in on me. Your main adversary back then was the T-54 and the ZSU-57
The maus is unusable by the 10k+ repair cost and 220 sl for the good ammo, 110 sl for the ok one. It also only has a 140% sl multiplier, less then the tiger II(p). It is just too expensive.
How to balance the Maus: -Make bridges destructible (Make them regenerative after 15-30 seconds to prevent people from blocking accesibility to capture points) -Introduce a mechanic, making the engine catch have a random chance of catching on fire, if the said engine is put under maximum pressure (for example; Maus driving uphill onto a very steep formation) -Make track repairs longer for Maus, since it needs to be lifted first, then manually repaired -Introduce a mechanic of armor chipping; making the armor lose effective value after constant fire from main gun calibers
I think seeing a video about the AMD-1 would be really neat, maybe talking about how useless the APS feels at 8.7 when most of the missile carriers are half a br up to a BR higher in terms of how common it is to see & face them. I feel like it suffers in some aspect because it's selling point is the Hardkill APS & LRF; I have been using it extensively myself but I'd like to see what you think of it.
play the centurion mk1 it is the first MBT after all, is armor is pretty much a panther and if u angle while u reload ur very well protected, APDS slaps even king tigers and the reload ain't too bad, though ammo rack is only 5 (only British vehicle with reverse gear)
The 5.3-6.0-7.3 uk lineup has to be one of my favorites. Shame the BR on the centurion forces you onto 7.0 now as opposed to 6.7 on full uptier if you decide to take it on the lineup
@@pukekissing 7.0 uptiers are nonexistant, and 6.7 is completly viable with your APDS, plus the centurion is so much better than the challenger or comet its worth the risk of a potential 7.0
My first interaction with a Maus was killing it with a bt-7. It was the player's first match and I bounced a shell into his engine and lit him on fire. It was hilarious but I feel bad for a man that got Gajin'ed before he unlocked fire extinguishers.
Ive been working on spading mine recently I dont think its actually *that bad I mean, i hate it. I hate what its suposed to be. I hate what it is. The entire thing was a mistake. The worst the wunderwaffe has to offer. But quite honestly, it o v e r preforms in wt, relative to what it was.
@@oliverthecool8329 mozdok Hill C and you just start hearing "fire!! in the engine compartment" immedeatly as you crest the hill, leaving you exposed and vulnerable
@@indianfiddler its certainly very good. But, normalized by BR, is it the best? surely not. A few i immediately think of that are better: Object 279, 2S38, IS6, KV-1E/B
@connivingkhajiit the pz 4g is better than all u named as at 3.3 there is very little that can frontal pen it if u angle and the gun is amazing up to 5.0. Even if a full uptier the pz4g is better than almost any other 4.3 such. And on a downtier... its fighting things like starts and crusaders which the 4g can delete from about 2 kilometres away. The is6 has a slow reload and is slow, the 2s38 will die to absolutely anything if not spotted first and can struggle to frontally pen some things, the kv1e has an awful main gun and is slow. And the object 279 lacks speed, has an average gun and can be frontally penned by anything at its br. The pz 4 g has almost none of these problems.
What I think they should do to make tanks like this easier to balance is implement spalling, partial penetrations, and armor fatigue. The problem with armor right now is that even the shells and armor are ballistically accurate in terms of pen values, you end up with a overly binary situation. Penetration or nothing. In reality, you would have spalling, and all sorts of partial penetrations. Shells that knock large chunks of armor from the inside, not just particulate spall. Shells that get stuck in the armor but shattered fragments of the shell or displaced armor make it inside the crew compartment. And armor fatigue. In one highly detailed account of a Panther engagement during the battle of the bulge, one panther had its welds start to crack after the 10th hit to the glacis from Sherman fire. Since we have the protection analysis, it would be easy for players to test and find out what tanks they will still be entirely proof agaisnt at various ranges until their armor falls apart, and what shells that have to watch out for because they might still kill them even if their pen values are not exact.
I mean its br was already pretty balanced imo. We are talking about a tank prototype dead end from WW2 after all. Im surprised that it can drive at all. And its not like every 6.7 heavy doesnt have the same weaknesses. BR decompression could help a lot with that
I don't know why Gaijin limited the 75mm cannon on the Maus by only offering some ( lesser ) types of shells last time I checked the 75mm can shoot way better shells not just the 100mm pen ones
I remember several times when I saw a Maus in matches, and started bullying them with my BMP-1. They literally can't do anything against me and my team.
I have committed the sin of T-54 future tech YEET shell bullying. Even magic bonked a couple on Kursk with the balans-57-2. And the Maus is one mistake away from seeing T-64 (fixed edition) on top of the later cold war T-55/62's it can easily run into normally LMFAO. Subtle reminder the T-54 (1947) w/future APDS and BMP-1P 1974 are lower BR than the Maus XD)))
its so hard to make videos with such slow vehicles because of the ammount of cutting to get any kind of action, but once you drive into the middle of the map you will have the whole enemy team shooting you so much action
"it can't be balanced tovarish" No, gaijin just didn't want to get its head out of its own ass to decompress the BR's that actually make it viable because when the Object 120 exists with a railgun at a step below, and the T-55AM and its derivatives exist less than 1 BR jump away from it, it cannot do hardly anything "removing vehicles, because actual change is for chumps" - Gaijin, probably
It can’t be balanced because of the state of the game. In a full uptier it can see T-62’s and M60A3’s, and in a full downtier it can see T-44’s and Super Pershing’s. The capability gap from 6.7-8.7 is astronomical.
I think the idea was more like they don't want it as a permanent addition to the game's tech tree anymore I guess; if any memelord or wehraboo wants the Maus, go ahead, but you dont have to slog through it to grind the next tank in line
Spookston: *pretty casual gameplay* Me: * my surrounding teammates die before being surrounded and bullied/ Bombed before even reaching the battle/ Meets a T114/ Gets barrel broken for 14th time in a row by the same person *
"Pro tip if you're playing this map" *proceeds to give the worst possible advice for the map 🤣 If you don't take B in like the first 45 seconds on Port Novo as the northern side... you lose, 9 times out of 10. Anyway I feel like the Maus could be 7.3 without harming anything. Sure there's stuff in a max downtier that'll struggle to pen it, but that's the entire point of the Maus. It's a tank so stupidly armor-oriented that it completely sacrifices mobility, even other heavies can run circles around it! The more mobility suffers, the more the vehicle's armor should function to compensate, the Maus is just the extreme of that spectrum
Even with HEAT and ATGM's, its difficult to properly pen and destroy this thing. Germany mains just play braindead. Thats litterally it. These morons rely on the armour too much and act surprised when they get instantly targetted. Its not a great tank, but its not unplayable.
Great another braindead and toxic take. You clearly haven't played the game enough if you still divide things into the "German mains vs this mains camp". What's next eugenics in war thunder? Some countries playerbases are "superior" while others are inferior sub-human. That is getting dangerously close to nazi teachings and yet most people in the sub are quick to generalise a whole player group to feel superior in their role-playing tank videogame.
Its a tank whose pace is charitably described as "glacial" and is large enough to qualify for its own postal code. No amount of bushes and camo is hiding that thing. Its armor is all it has. Especially when it has an 11,000+ SL repair cost, getting insta-gibbed by a tank from the 1970s firing second generation ATGMs or bombed from orbit is rather frustrating, even if the latter is a rather appropriate example of "reality ensues" for what would have happened had the Maus gone into production.
@@bro3217 you can rely on the armor of the maus just learn to play it :) you need to angle the hull and turret and only show your cheek when you want to fire . maus armor will spot all rounds that are not apds whit hight pen , heat and atgm . everything else is a big nop : D and most player just rush whit the maus and get killed . play it like a normal tank be carefull and dont think you god and you will be fine
The difficulty with the Maus is that it has really different playstyles depending on the br of the battle. If you get uptiered all the way to apfsds, you stay at the back and ocasionally get some kills, but If it's anything else, you rush forward and rule. People say the Maus gets penetrated by anything. Those people also dont even try to angle it. If you angle the turret correctly, there is almost no vehicles that dont have apfsds that could penetrate it and the hull doesnt even need to be angles. Then just wiggle to not get your gun taken out and have fun
i hear a lot of people say the Maus is bad, but it has an average of 4 kills per death on thunderskill, which is pretty fucking good. im aware thunderskill is not the best source, but sadly its one of the only ones.
Play the Ho-RI production, fantastic frontal armour, great acceleration with very strong engine, decent 105mm canon and amazing turn time, it’s engine surrounded by 8mm of armour on each side give it amazing spall protection and barely anyone knows where to shoot it so over angling can be a valid strategy to provoke the enemy’s first shot, the only thing that kinda sucks is it’s technically an open top (the hatch on the top of your tank needs to open to depress) one of my favourite tanks
I love playing the Maus though. Its huge and slow and ridiculous and I love it. Every match is a fun match because I expect nothing! It's also very satisfying to pop HEAT-FS slinging cold war MBTs with the APHE-DS round. It may be a mostly fake round, but it does help the Maus be slightly more reliable on the battlefield. Of course, I say all this as a Heavy Tank lover, someone who scoffs every time Spook makes a video about how light tanks are the best.
I accidentally do well in this all the time. My strategy has boiled down to getting the enemy to try and push me from the front, and for some reason, they always do. They rarely flank until I have at least 3 kills and they've all come back at the same time. I am both extremely lucky to not get uptiered in Germany 7.7 much, and to get enemies who are too impatient to deal with a Maus. I tend to have a blast in this thing. Even when you fail, the 2 minute death is still very entertaining, bombs have a tough time getting through if they miss just a bit, and you make the greatest distraction. Won many games by having 4-5 players trying to get on my side.
The M-56 Scorpian is a nice little niche tank. It's built for sniping because it's small, mobile, and has good gun depression. Best time I've had with it is when I got an open field kind of map and I set on a flank near the middle. Bushes and sitting there while the enemy tried to cope with moving past their side of the map was alright. Only complaint is I didn't have enough ammo and I had to essentially range my shots myself because US Range finders can't cope beyond 950m...
The MAUS is the tank i go to if i want some fun. It's avalible to research every november around the anniversary if your german tree is far enough along. It's the same tier as the E-100.
I wonder if they could bring it back as a squad vehicle as well as having another variant with the quad 30mm turret on top, just to make it to where the turret has its own crew and can function like ship AA? granted this is not happening under any circumstances but would be neat.
Oh, maus and tiger 2 105, i used these 2 bad bois to grind the tier 6 german ground tree way back 2018, along with the panther 2 to grind ground assault mode. Sucks that new players cant research panther 2 and tiger 2 105, it makes a great 6.7(or 7.0 if you play arcade like me) lineup along with other germans tanks, like the classic tiger 2.
If you could, try messing about in some low-Tier to Mid tier Japanese tanks. The CHI-HA LG is a fun open-top TD. The CHI-HA Short Gun has a Navel gun attached to it, and only uses HEAT. The RO-GO, a multi-turreted, monster that bears the Title of being the ONLY heavy tank Japan has produced for themselves, and of course, the HO-RO, or rather the 152mm howitzer Derp Turtle. Those tanks are fun to play when balanced correctly, and Japan has lots of solid light tanks to boot! Love the vids, so keep up the good work!!
Just gonna say, the Maus’s sabot round is real and had two firing trials. The first round often shattered against 200+mm plates, and the other successfully went through much thicker plates much more reliably and at considerable slopes. One example even successfully penetrated a 305mm plate angled at 30 degrees at a velocity of 1280m/s without breakup (that is admittedly a value higher than the muzzle velocity though). That second round is what the game is supposed to have, but what we really have is an 8.8cm with a 1230m/s muzzle velocity with Gaijoob’s formula. The round had no AP cap and a more blunt ogive nose and should be much better against sloped armor than it is in game. The shell would be fairly comparable to the Object 279 in terms of performance.
Maus are always fun to take out with the Type 60 ATM. The massive missiles can fairly easily one hit kill them if you hit the turret anywhere due to how much explosive filler they have. They are also slow and big enough to easily hit even at very long range.
4:33 the exact moment i discovered that i own a tank that can float, i went immediately to try it without caring about the game, but only enjoying the swimming experience. he was probably doing the same.
In my opinion the Maus is the extreme of the problem the game has with heavy tanks and casemade TDs with heavy frontal armor. They shouldnt be penetratable frontally by most or at least half of the tanks they face since they sacrifice mobility for good frontal armor and a good gun. Heavy tanks should be able to pose as a blockade for light and medium tanks and force them to flank or wait for the support of tanks with better guns wich should be able to penetrate it frontally. Warthunder gives player the ability to render guns and tracks inoperable efectivly reducing the heavy tank to a sitting steel duck only waiting to get flanked. Most TDs and Heavy tanks suffer from this problem wich makes them less fun to play especially when the gun isnt that good or if it has the same gun as a medium tank. I do agree that heavy tanks shouldnt be able to shrug of all types of hits but if your armor dosent give you any benefits and only slows you down when there are tanks with the same gun but better mobility what sense does it make to play them except if you want to play that tank specifically.
Ive been playing the Maus alot lately and ive been able to mvp most mid to down tier games I get. (I dont take this out on an uptier) It plays well in a downtier on large maps - specifically single objective maps. I was able to get a nuke with no caps, 4 kills, only by taking a tremendous amount of hits that gave me enough SP. Find a good spot for this tank afar, angle the turret and hull in a downtier and you are basically invincible. Centurior mk 5 is your main weakness as overpressure from the squash head 1 shots the Maus.
Playing on large map with the maus is a pain in the ass, especially when Gaijin thinks it is a good idea to let 6.7-7.7 to keep getting large map match while the top tier keep getting cqc city map
Honestly sitting back in a super heavy isn't what anybody would ever want to do but it seems like it's hilariously the only way it can be played cuz it literally get melted otherwise and is like the soom turtle and attracts bombs as if it were a giant magnet
OOOOF you nearly gave me a heart attack when you said they removed the Maus from the game. I thought they removed it completly like all accounts that had it it got removed from.
I love this tank, just got it yesterday, and its fun. Horrid in battle, on account of main gun sniping, but I find it fun watching people try to kill me while I harass their guns and tracks with the short gun.
I do have some more traditional scripted content coming out soon, just have been a bit busy lately.
thanks for the info!

@@cqpp it shouldn't be 7.3 either. It should stay at 7.7
@@Gary_The_Metro You could say that 7.3 is a good fit, there are plenty of tanks armed with heat, and many of the Maus’ rival heavy tanks full caliber rounds are capable of penetrating it on the side, or the turret cheeks.

Just make it a side vehicle like the denomination of T-54s. They aren't necessary to get but you can if you want to. Then I remembered I was talking about the snail and that they'll probably use it as some sort of hidden tank available on occasion like the KV-2 with the 107mm
I don’t have the Tiger 105 :0 looks cool tho

That system maybe cool to work with other Rank III german

@@SRDPS2 boo hoo
Easiest way to balance the maus in my opinion is to keep it at 7.7 but prevent it from being uptiered, meaning the maus will never face anything 8.0 and above. At 7.7 there are plenty of vehicles that can face it.
Go Breda 501 (I think it's 501), it's light, it is fast, its cannon has high pen and damage output, it's just great (shell with 520 g of TNT is better than 180 g, more pen is just not needed)
I loved the Breda, grinded nearly everything on the next tier with it.
Eh, you realistically don't need more than 100 grams as it usually one-shots most enemies anyway, so the extra pen is nice for some extra insurance that you'll punch through the armor 99% of the time.
no, it's the contrary, more than 180g is not needed, because it is going to be a one-shot already, but more pen is always better
I like the Maus personally. It's pretty solid and I enjoy the coaxial cannon.

140% SL multiplier because you get SL for tanking shots.
You only get money for the first hit. After that you no longer get anything
you would unironically get more money from tanking shells than killing enemies most of the time
How to balance the Maus:
-Make bridges destructible (Make them regenerative after 15-30 seconds to prevent people from blocking accesibility to capture points)
-Introduce a mechanic, making the engine catch have a random chance of catching on fire, if the said engine is put under maximum pressure (for example; Maus driving uphill onto a very steep formation)
-Make track repairs longer for Maus, since it needs to be lifted first, then manually repaired
-Introduce a mechanic of armor chipping; making the armor lose effective value after constant fire from main gun calibers

Some more top tier SPAA please!! It’s just satisfying to see helicopters falling out off the sky.
The M103. The funky armor layout combined with the thick armor it has actually allows it to take hits and give them back with that 120mm
I mean its br was already pretty balanced imo. We are talking about a tank prototype dead end from WW2 after all. Im surprised that it can drive at all. And its not like every 6.7 heavy doesnt have the same weaknesses. BR decompression could help a lot with that

its so hard to make videos with such slow vehicles because of the ammount of cutting to get any kind of action, but once you drive into the middle of the map you will have the whole enemy team shooting you so much action
"it can't be balanced tovarish"
No, gaijin just didn't want to get its head out of its own ass to decompress the BR's that actually make it viable
because when the Object 120 exists with a railgun at a step below, and the T-55AM and its derivatives exist less than 1 BR jump away from it, it cannot do hardly anything
"removing vehicles, because actual change is for chumps" - Gaijin, probably
Even with decompression, that will dominate downtiers and suffer in uptiers.
It can’t be balanced because of the state of the game. In a full uptier it can see T-62’s and M60A3’s, and in a full downtier it can see T-44’s and Super Pershing’s. The capability gap from 6.7-8.7 is astronomical.

5:06 This is the moments where I genuinely appreciate spookston
I wonder if they could bring it back as a squad vehicle as well as having another variant with the quad 30mm turret on top, just to make it to where the turret has its own crew and can function like ship AA? granted this is not happening under any circumstances but would be neat.
Probably impossible- but would be funny! Bump the normal maus to 7.3 and that goes 7.7 :)
It wasn't removed it just appears once a year
this hit on that wheelyboi without damage: e-sport ready
4:33 the exact moment i discovered that i own a tank that can float, i went immediately to try it without caring about the game, but only enjoying the swimming experience.
he was probably doing the same.
at 7.7 i had games were nobody could pen the mause so every body just shot at the gun for the hole game.
I’m in my t44 100 and then I turn a corner and sees a maus on the other side then die, it happened to me twice today
for future engagements remember that the 100mm can pen the turret cheeks and the side flat on
Ive been playing the Maus alot lately and ive been able to mvp most mid to down tier games I get.
Playing on large map with the maus is a pain in the ass, especially when Gaijin thinks it is a good idea to let 6.7-7.7 to keep getting large map match while the top tier keep getting cqc city map
heavy tank spawn just like an attacker spawn in air realistic? :3
He was amphibious, ergo he must go into the water when given the option.
I never have a problem getting kills with the Maus, when the snail doesn't full uptier me.
Honestly sitting back in a super heavy isn't what anybody would ever want to do but it seems like it's hilariously the only way it can be played cuz it literally get melted otherwise and is like the soom turtle and attracts bombs as if it were a giant magnet
3:57 he was having a goofball moment
"Slow is pain, fast light tanks are my thing."
You should play the Valentine next.
I Recommend The VT-1-2 (or however it’s spelt) Because It’s Just A Battleship Turret Tank But Small And It’s A Meme In My Eyes
I honestly love playing the muas I’m so glad I was able to get it
OOOOF you nearly gave me a heart attack when you said they removed the Maus from the game. I thought they removed it completly like all accounts that had it it got removed from.
I love this tank, just got it yesterday, and its fun. Horrid in battle, on account of main gun sniping, but I find it fun watching people try to kill me while I harass their guns and tracks with the short gun.
