Great video! I have a Prime Speaker Vannifar deck that is actually a Biowaste Blob secret commander deck, and I really feel the "know your plan to tutor" because other players have fun when you can call out your lines off hand, but have a bad time if you just spend 10 minutes rummaging around looking for nothing in particular
Thanks for watching friend Yeah you're right this is quite true for any similar effect. Like in Meren, or Kess, if one sits there for 10 minutes looking at your graveyard it sucks for everyone.
@@mcjigger2369 thanks for watching friend 🤜🤛 you can definitely put Mithril Coat into the deck, but if we are already upgrading then I think Hammer of Nazahn fills a similar and far superior role. Equipment are awkward and hammer makes them not awkward. Given we are tutoring we don't really need a lot of redundancy. That's why it wasn't in my list of upgrades.
Awesome video! I'm really hyped to build this commander and will definitely be upgrading this based on your recommendations! I pulled a Mjolnir and definitely want to add it but what would you recommend cutting for it? I gotta get Iron man to wield it when I'm against my buddies Captain America deck xD
Glad you enjoyed the video Voodoo If you don't have the Scultping Steel, you could easily swap that out. Or maybe Portcullis, as it's more fun than Portcullis anyway. Let me know how it goes
@@BasedDeckDept Apparently there’s talks of updating the rules so hybrid mana can count as mono colored if in a mono deck. I don’t know much about it, just got recommended a video a little bit ago about it. Apparently someone on the rules committee has that idea. Personally, I think it’s fine because that’s how most players assume it works anyway. But I can understand why some people dislike the idea.
@@Jupiterbun-bunJetson Interesting. Yeah I think any hybrid card that can be cast just for a specific colour should be able to fit in that card's decks. It makes logical sense as they're usually already matching the identity.etc
@ Every new player (myself included) assumes that’s how it works anyway. So I’m alright with it personally. It could really open up some interesting card design by giving mono colored commanders access to multicolored spells.
Hey uhm. I had a friend approach me today like -"Storm has to be so unfun to play against" Me: -"The commander or the archtype?" -"The commander. I get it, it is strong and people engoy it, it just seems like the game is the same every time? Storm attacks = you win. It doesn't = you lose." -"I guess it is more about the environment you play her in. Yeah, in isolation she's gonna be a roflstomp and when no one is prepared for that it certainly won't amount to good gameplay. I would compare it to Zada as a similar glass canon - that one also wipes a table when people don't expect it. BUT I can imagine it in a tight playgroup. The deck goes through evolution. First it messes ppl up, then people start packing silver bullets to mess her up (like casting Silence mid-combat when spell count is high), until the Storm player makes her more resilient and less glass canon (which a monored Zada can't do as easily) OR the deck gets rebuilt to not be such a pubstomp simulator and people will actually look forward to getting hit. I imagine it something like: "If you let me hit you, you can choose the targets for the copies" OR storm count will never be more than 3 OR the storm payoff spells will be "Secret Rendezvous" type cards." And that's where you come in. While I spoke to him, I had you on my mind the whole time: "What would Based Deck Department build?" So yeah, are you interested in a little challenge? Can you build a deck, that based on the commander's reputation should be absolutely dreaded, but is actually the sweetest most wholesome gameplay magic cardboard can provide?
@@DarthTUK it makes me very happy that what would BDD do is a thing. Thanks friend. Ironically I didn't choose to make a Storm list because I felt like it would be linear and you'd have to go all in on power because the threat of what she does is so high that people will treat you like the threat you can be. To make sure I have this right, you'd like me to build a Storm list that's fun? I may just do that if so 😁
@@BasedDeckDept Yes, I would love to see you tackle this and make a Storm deck that is primarily fun for the table (fun to the point where random people from the LGS who heard rumors of a "fun Storm deck" will ask you to play against it kind of fun), but still fun for you as the pilot as well :) ("What would X do?" rhetorical question is one of my favorite tropes 😉)
@DarthTUK I'll add it to the list 😁 ironically I recently built a deck where my only goal was to accelerate the game for the table so someone else can win. So there are some similarities here
How do like the swords? I considered them for upgrade targets, but figured they'd be a bit meh and redundant. I love the swords but typically play one or two in a deck where their abilities have tons of synergy with the deck itself.
Muito bom o vídeo. Poderia fazer um para Lathril ? Sou do Brasil e orçamento tá baixo kkkkk. Pretendo fazer um da Stella por causa do seu vídeo. Muito obrigado.

Tried getting a secret lair as a Christmas gift for someone. Waited for four hours, didn’t get it. Then see people online complaining that they only got eight of them.
Yeah don't get me started. I randomly woke up at 4am given I'm in Aus, and managed to check one out with no queue. Lucked out but had friends sitting in the queue for like 2 hours from 4am.... Not ideal... at all.
@@Jupiterbun-bunJetson Yeah I wasn't going to buy them because of how un consumer friendly the whole practice is. Especially given how hard they make it in Aus. I was pretty against getting them unless it was easy, and I partially bought them in case my friends couldn't get them and wanted them.
@ Secret lairs were cool when they weren’t limited numbers imo. The only ones I could (maybe) ever understand being limited would be a charity thing. But that’s a heavy maybe. I don’t hate secret lairs like other people though.
@BasedDeckDept Once again, minus the 200$ ironman, your one of the select few who got an Ironman and your being obstuse about its actual cost. This is not a 109$ deck

hello! Have there been any recent rule changes? Can you elaborate a bit so I can make sure I give the correct 2c
