I had the honor of meeting Mr. Ruff today at his home. We enjoyed a few moments talking music, and a few stories from his exciting travails, and he was so cool and funny, and inspirational, one of those moments I won't forget.
Willie was my neighbor for a few years when he taught at Yale. Very cool guy driving around in his red convertible. We had a good chat on an airplane out of New Haven one day.
