Southern was exclusive as predicted every year. Well balanced an plenty power. Grambling surprisingly did Well. Most ppl expected them to get slaughtered every year as normal but they finally rocked out. Someone must finally got through to their lame direction. They came with it this year. Southern is just in it's prime shine time at the moment, so they are a hard opponent for anyone. GSU is definitely not the band to stop southerns run, but job Well done grambling. Finally!!!
do you know how many alumni of SU hate their direction now have u seen their shows their own alumni on Facebook band sites are calling them a stand band among other things gsu is doing just fine along with others but look at SU from doc Gregg's an other director if this is su prime then omg. but both bands did a great job well good.

I know I'm late, but I just saw this and had to make a comment as a neutral party that does not have any bias to either band or school. Both bands did well, but SU was clearly the better band. The song choices and arrangements were really outstanding. The SU tubas, trumpets and horns are really good. The only negatives I saw in SU was the singer (which they could have left home) and the cymbals for SU came across kind of corny to me. The dancing dolls were way better than the orchesis dancers. The dancing dolls exuded class, style, technique all while looking good doing it, while the orchesis dancers style of dancing is just not up to par when you compare them side by side. They kind of looked a little hoodish (no offense, they definitely are talented).
ODC wins real dance competitions where they compete is different styles of dance these two are two different programs and from the crowd alone no band out side the other. This is how a botb is suppose to be and saying ODC looks high schoolish out of any hbcu squad ODC is a real dance company they came with new counts and new everything here....Their captain also won Ms Black Louisiana. GSU dancers do praise level high ballet and win competitions clips show these females are talent it makes more than simple stuff other hbcu dancers are doing to win actual dance stuff

Dolls and ODC are different teams and style of dance. while many said the Dolls were boring and she oh same oh many were saying ODC had energy and was entertaining it comes down to what is expected but from your comments alone you can tell you're a SU fan when 90% of whT you said good was about SU. GSU was DRY!! They looked like a clump of mess. I couldn't tell what song they were playing. The video production team with GSU was horrible. The girls were dry and just sat there most of the time. Regardless of the "entertainment" of SU, they kept my attention and knew what songs were being played based on the first couple of notes. SU...starting to become a fan. GSU...have several seats.
