I tried this christmas cake. It came good and was yummy. I tried it in cooker. Before trying I was worried whether it could taste similar to shop made cakes as it doesn't use soaked dry fruits, but it tasted better than that😋. Thank you mam for the wonderful recipe.😊
@@veda79 i just skipped egg. Without any substitute. You can add 2 spoon refined oil if you want but its totally optional doesn't make much difference as butter is added.

I use brown sugar demerara. I usually add my tea masala which I usually use for tea so that takes care of the mixed spices and I do add orange zest. I have tried a similar version with wheat and ragi Atta blend works well. Anyone who has problems with softness add grated apple or carrot

i was looking for this exact recipe for such a long time but could not find anywhere or on any other recipe channel & finally i came across this one,its exactly the one my granny used to make when we were kids on Christmas ,the cake appeared similar with same ingredients in it, yess,i can recognize that its the similar cake with similar recipe...as a kid i always enjoyed eating the cake made by my granny but then she passed away & i never tasted the same christmas cake again, I really missed that particular flavour & essence,but after watching this video i am pretty sure that it will turn out to be the one i really liked always......thankyou so much for sharing the recipe...lots of love n well wishes to you.... Hello Nisa. Thank you for sharing your well thought out healthy recipes and great tips. I baked this cake just few moments ago. I followed the exact measurements but somehow I ended up with a thin batter( the butter that I used was liquid and not semi solid like you had shown....may be that is the reason😑) so I had to omit one egg and also left out little caramelised sugar syrup...stilll...the end result was an awesome cake( obviously little less sweeter and much lighter than yours). Would request you to show how to do cake decoration by using the icing bag and nozzles.
Hi Chechi..I made this but came out really dense ..I don't know what went wrong..hope I'll get it better the next time..used brown sugar..since it was there..and whole wheat flour..😔 my cakes never had gone wrong..😑at about 25 min I thought it will burn the top side and opened it to cover it with an aluminium foil..may be because of that ..silly me..but I love your channel and alllllll recipes..great going Chechi..first time commenting on any site😃

This is the best ever Xmas cake without alcohol. Just a one on my Xmas menu. Thank you so much for the recipe. Only one question is while making caramel it gets hard and doesn’t dissolve that well. Can I add little water prior to heating the only sugar? Stay blessed . I just loved this cake. Everyone loved it at home including me. 💕
Dear Mam Bought jaggery sugar but is not grainy but coarse powder in brown colour. Secondly used sugar to grind with whole spices is again brown in colour i.e. organic sugar. We have sulpherless sugar can i use to practice again. Thanks Rims1
I tried it mam taste was nice but I baked for 50 minutes but burnt on the top of the cake so, I cut down that layer . But the taste was awesome my husband was shocked how this taste was very perfect
HI Chitra, sorry that the top portion got burnt and happy that you enjoyed the taste. Oven temperatures do vary depending on the oven you are using, so next time you bake, pls keep checking after 40-45 mins. Really sorry about it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Dear Mam As u said to step back when u add water little by little be careful as it may bubble up. And sugar may hardened after adding water in caramelize sugar, so to dissolve sugar crystal put in low flame till completely dissolved. So I did but sides sugar crystal was still there. And didnt get dissolved but when it was hot it was in thin syrup but after cooling it got thick syrup like Honey. So plz let me knw how much water is added in jaggery powder. Thanks Rims1
Dear Nishaji I knw u have practice this cake for yrs. Last time I baked this cake became crisp on sides became crisp like Brownies.. Dear Nisaji Are both organic sugar or sulphourless white sugar same.secondly when u caramalize white sugar or organic sugar, whereas Organic sugar turns golden brown more than white sugar. 3. Point is I Creamed sugar till peaks r formed. Then added eggs 1 at a time it got Curdled which should not be, because when u scraped & beat it formed like batter.
