Thank you! My vocaloid phase really came like 10 years ago when i was 17, and the most exciting and iconic thing I ever saw was that old video from like 2008 of the miku hologram performing this song, so it was an absolute dream to bring that to life in my own way :)

Life continued to try and stop me from finishing this cosplay, but I let it stop me from cosplaying for long enough as is. I'm competing tomorrow no matter what, because I'm proud of what I accomplished in the time (and brain cells) I had despite never ending hardships of this year.

I generally don't like watching dance skits... however, with your backdrop being SO interactive it just made it a pleasure to watch. Good job with the timing and literally everything!
Maybe because they don't always make sense character wise or lore wise? but for a Miku cosplay it is very in character and super fitting to put on a whole performance like this. I need to get back into making costumes, but if I ever did compete and had to do a performance I'd feel so uncomfortable trying to do something like this unless it fit the character super well. (but also I'm still working on being better with stuff like being on stage so being in character as a vocaloid would basically be a crutch for that lol)
Spearing the strawberry with the fork at the end was inspired. I have no idea how you managed to line it up so well but it was such a good note to end it on

I have like no knowledge or anything about cosplay but always enjoyed watching them. And wow the effort of making that background video, the cosplay, wig, props woah it’s phenomenal. I never got the guts to really dive into cosplay because of my family and friends telling me how weird it was, but man...I never stopped loving it. Thank you!! It was a lot of trial and error to get that wig to not move an inch, but it all just eneded up being lost of clips, bobby pins, and 3m surgical tape lol

I found your channel just yesterday and I couldn't be happier about it. As a pre-teen I was super into vocaloid, anime and cosplay and I used to dream of competing in cosplay competitions and performing like you did in this video. I never got to do those things because I didn't have the resources nor did I know where to look. I have never been (or I guess felt) creative or crafty, so, to me, that dream was unreachable. Still, I would dance my little heart off to World is Mine in my living room, imagining I was performing at a competition, so often and so vividly that I can almost count that as having actually performed. Time passed, I grew up, had to leave my home country and start over in a totally new one where I spent the worst three years of my life. Safe to say, I never fulfilled my dream. As the years went by I realised I wanna learn how to sew, even now, but not for cosplay as I still see it pretty much as something unattainable. I had not thought about that dream in a long time, but your videos reminded me of that time I would hope and daydream just to cope. Watching you perform this song made me instantly start crying my eyes out in the best way possible. I feel like something inside me healed in a way. You're helping me keep alive that little spark in me that still wants to learn to sew even though I'm most probably never gonna compete or achieve what I dreamed of, but I think that's okay too. Thank you so much for doing what you do. It's been an hour since I watched your performance and I'm still unconsolable, but happy.
Honestly I've watched you making Miku, and The Contest SO MANY TIMES I watched it at least 3 more times before I got my channel. I really wanna Make my own costumes one day, It seems really hard now.... But I know ill get there at some point! My mom is Going to take me to Galaxy Con this December and I'm wearing a Costume that we basically Handmade, Just not the Fabric, I'm going to be Hu Tao From Genshin! Okay so I'm definitely supposed to have gone to bed already but I am so so glad I happened upon your Kokomi cosplay videos by random chance and that I actually watched them (side note all the little visuals were so cute and well done and even if all the sewing explinations went over my head (though I still enjoyed them) it was fun to watch you experiment and learn to make that Kokomi cosplay (which was very cute btw the little wave pattern stamps turned out so nicely and the way the fabric layered and flowed was awesome. Okay but back to this video which I haven't watched the videos of you making this cosplay (probably will tomorrow) but this performance? Amazing. Like I don't do cosplay and I have massive respect for people who do because it is months and months of work but then for you to say you also did all the background graphics and redid the choreography for the song itself? I can see why you won (which btw loved the miku cutlery security guard outfit) and also I did tear up watching when they announced you had won like yes you deserved it!! I don't understand much about fabric types or different stitches but the fact you not only made this cosplay a reality but then DANCED IN IT? phenomenal, breathtaking, you can tell the love and dedication to both the craft itself and the artforms behind it all. Well, I'd encourage you to stay in college, I do not do cosplay full time, and the skills I have to do this kind of all came from being a graphic design major. Everything that went into this performance was for the passion of a hobby. But also Thanks so much!

I’ve experienced goosebumps 2 times here, once when the fireworks and crown appeared as well as when 01 was there, and of courage when you catched that strawberry! Holy... I could tell it was well choreographed from the last vid, but that was so perfect! The sync was excellent, I don't even want to think about how long it must have taken to design everything then time your movements to the graphics behind you Extraordinary, you definitely deserved to win. I worked the opposite way actually! I got the choeo down first, which is actually a combo of several versions of actual WIM cheo thats been used over the last decade, and some stuff i made up, when that was down, i tracked the graphics to my own movements via recording my practice :)

Thank you!! It was a lot of trial and error to get that wig to not move an inch, but it all just eneded up being lost of clips, bobby pins, and 3m surgical tape lol

I found your channel just yesterday and I couldn't be happier about it. As a pre-teen I was super into vocaloid, anime and cosplay and I used to dream of competing in cosplay competitions and performing like you did in this video. I never got to do those things because I didn't have the resources nor did I know where to look. I have never been (or I guess felt) creative or crafty, so, to me, that dream was unreachable. Still, I would dance my little heart off to World is Mine in my living room, imagining I was performing at a competition, so often and so vividly that I can almost count that as having actually performed. Time passed, I grew up, had to leave my home country and start over in a totally new one where I spent the worst three years of my life. Safe to say, I never fulfilled my dream. As the years went by I realised I wanna learn how to sew, even now, but not for cosplay as I still see it pretty much as something unattainable. I had not thought about that dream in a long time, but your videos reminded me of that time I would hope and daydream just to cope. Watching you perform this song made me instantly start crying my eyes out in the best way possible. I feel like something inside me healed in a way. You're helping me keep alive that little spark in me that still wants to learn to sew even though I'm most probably never gonna compete or achieve what I dreamed of, but I think that's okay too. Thank you so much for doing what you do. It's been an hour since I watched your performance and I'm still unconsolable, but happy.
Honestly I've watched you making Miku, and The Contest SO MANY TIMES I watched it at least 3 more times before I got my channel. I really wanna Make my own costumes one day, It seems really hard now.... But I know ill get there at some point! My mom is Going to take me to Galaxy Con this December and I'm wearing a Costume that we basically Handmade, Just not the Fabric, I'm going to be Hu Tao From Genshin! Okay so I'm definitely supposed to have gone to bed already but I am so so glad I happened upon your Kokomi cosplay videos by random chance and that I actually watched them (side note all the little visuals were so cute and well done and even if all the sewing explinations went over my head (though I still enjoyed them) it was fun to watch you experiment and learn to make that Kokomi cosplay (which was very cute btw the little wave pattern stamps turned out so nicely and the way the fabric layered and flowed was awesome.
Okay but back to this video which I haven't watched the videos of you making this cosplay (probably will tomorrow) but this performance? Amazing. Like I don't do cosplay and I have massive respect for people who do because it is months and months of work but then for you to say you also did all the background graphics and redid the choreography for the song itself? I can see why you won (which btw loved the miku cutlery security guard outfit) and also I did tear up watching when they announced you had won like yes you deserved it!! I don't understand much about fabric types or different stitches but the fact you not only made this cosplay a reality but then DANCED IN IT? phenomenal, breathtaking, you can tell the love and dedication to both the craft itself and the artforms behind it all. Well, I'd encourage you to stay in college, I do not do cosplay full time, and the skills I have to do this kind of all came from being a graphic design major. Everything that went into this performance was for the passion of a hobby. But also Thanks so much!

Your costume, dance abilities and animation throughout are something else! I’ve experienced goosebumps 2 times here, once when the fireworks and crown appeared as well as when 01 was there, and of courage when you catched that strawberry! I can’t get over the hours and hours of practice and craft you must have spend to accomplish this! But every second of it was worth it in the end!~ 💗✨

This was brilliant! If I went back into starting up Renaissance Productions again, you'd be on the list. I simply got tired of having to babysit competing artists. Things are different now, as it seems most people have more respect to each other. It's nice to see you're happy living the life of an artist. This is from one artist to another.

Holy... I could tell it was well choreographed from the last vid, but that was so perfect! The sync was excellent, I don't even want to think about how long it must have taken to design everything then time your movements to the graphics behind you

I worked the opposite way actually! I got the choeo down first, which is actually a combo of several versions of actual WIM cheo thats been used over the last decade, and some stuff i made up, when that was down, i tracked the graphics to my own movements via recording my practice :)

Being honest, HM wasn't the best for me this year. It was my second time going at the recommendation of a friend, and aside from things like the manga library, I wasn't having a Good Time.
