      I am actually trying to sound like a southern accent because it's beautiful, until I mix it, then it gets weird, hehe.

      True, the weather was nice when I was there even though it was very hot in Pakse. Would be great to back during the rainy season.
      By the way, I'm heading to Thakhek in a few days to do the Thakhek loop. Let me know if you're around. Would be nice to catch up for a coffee.

    Your interaction with the dogs were so funny and cute. The first dog knows whats best 😅 It reminds me of all the dogs following you when you were in Georgia. Thanks for sharing your journey. ❤ The views were so pretty. I need to research where i can find some Paksong coffee.

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, the first dog was so smart. He refused to eat plain rice, not even with the meat inside haha.
      Paksong coffee is known to be the best coffee in Laos, I hope you find some in the USA.

    That was a beautiful journey, Nat! The waterfalls are all so stunning!
    Imagine how much more if you were during the start of the wet season where everything is greener 😊
    Also, I was craving for the sticky rice and chili ans the fruits when you were eating!
    Great stuff bro 👍🏻👍🏻

      I was thinking the same, bro. It must be so nice to come back during the rainy season with more water. Maybe next trip I'll do from the north to south on my motorbike. They have lots of fresh produce down there. and the air is much cleaner compared to the north of Laos

    You missed out E-Tu waterfall from the big3. It’s only 2km before the 3 you visited and tbh I think my favourite out of them all. The abandoned resort has a spooky feel to it 😝
    I actually done the whole Pakse loop a month before you and was blown away by- even in dry season! Can’t wait to go back this year again after rainy season - straight to Pakse to do it all over again 😍

    Laos do not have beaches like Thailand or Vietnam but it has waterfalls which really amazing. Landlocked country also beautiful.

    Love Laos. I visited the northern parts of Laos last year and am considering traveling to the southern region this year. However, I'm undecided between enduring the lengthy road trip or opting for the costly air travel.

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, taking a road trip is usually very long due to the road conditions. However, the roads in the south of Laos are unbelievably wide and smooth.

  • @BenjiZiggy

    Hopefully we will be retired in our southern area in a few years.

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  8 місяців тому

      I hope you will. It is such a beautiful place and good weather all year round.
      People in the south seem to be well aware of environmental issues compared to us from the north where people are burning forest

    That's like $2.50 for a whole durian, so cheap! Here in the US, that would cost at least $30 or more, and not even fresh.

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  8 місяців тому

      I know, in Thailand would cost double. That's why I took that advantage hehe. Good for my heart lol

    Fall is private or national park?

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  8 місяців тому

      Normally, it should be a national park, but anything is possible in Laos in that respect. Like Kuang Si Fall in Luang Prabang, it's being leased to the Chinese investors for 25 years😥
