Finally someone with actual hooded eyes, not all the ladies who think they have hooded eyes. LOL Mine are even more hooded than yours since I am 50, but this was such a good visual for me!
The eyeshadow part was SO incredibly helpful omg. This is the first time I’m actually seeing a makeup tutorial for eyes as hooded as mine. I remember being a teenager and hopelessly searching for hours/days throughout the years for tutorials for “hooded eyes”, when every single one was done on someone whose eyes were barely hooded. It was always so frustrating- the way you did the eyeshadow made it finally click for me! Thank you SOO much!
Thank you for encouraging us to apply eyeshadow to our lower lash line. For those of us with very hooded eyes, we NEED shadow/liner on our lower lids. I look tired AF without it. It doesn’t drag my face down, contrary to what hundreds of other UA-camrs claim.
I am 63 years old and I have severe hooded eyes with no visible eyelid. I have never seen anybody do make up for their eyes like you. I am inspired! Thank you so much and yes ma’am I have subscribed.😊
Love the tutorial. Could you please do a slower more in-depth one with detailed explanations and specific product recommendations/alternatives. Your videos have helped my eye make up for stage and dance performances tremendously, which requires bold eye makeup and winged liner. Thank you!
Noted!will do! Thank you so much! Also, can you please tell me “more in depth” about what subject: eyeshadows, lashes? What it’s still not clear? This will help me to understand in which direction to move ❤️❤️
You're not explaining how you're doing anything. You're just putting on your makeup & talking. Please explain how you do your makeup. Preferably rich in details & much slower than in this video. @Flawless_byvera
@vienen1 and even slower? I seriously just don’t understand what else I can do , it’s already not in my language, I’m working so hard to share as more as I can , but seriously, I’m about to give up
I know how it feels, been through this, so nothing left besides take this subject seriously and help myself and now helping you and so happy that my content helps my lovely hooded eye community!!! Love and appreciate each of you! Thank you!
Literally the best hooded eyes tutorials for me because we almost have the same eye shape, the only difference is that my eyebrows are positioned a bit lower than yours..❤
Your tip about using cream eyeshadow on the eyelids instead of concealer works like magic. I tried it and my eyeshadow didn’t crease even after almost 10 hours
Vera! Shut the front door! Brushes AND lashes! Yeah gurl! Where do I sign up?! Omg, I am so excited! Congratulations! thk u for link to classes, I will look into those as well.
Omg yaaaas! That’s my people 🥹 sending tons of love to you! It will take a little time, 1st I’ll launch lashes, hopefully will sell out the 1st part and that money will reinvest in brushes, design and everything is ready, just brushes are more expensive and I don’t have $ to invest now so it’s on hold. Hopefully lashes will be launched within a month ❤️
The makeup looks great! This is what us extreme hooded girlies need. However, I do agree with a little more explanation of your technique. If people understand how and why to shade a certain way, it makes the video more understandable. For example: here 1:19 when you put this darker shadow, it would be helpful to know where exactly to put that shadow; should it be put slightly above the hood, what type of brush should be used? Eventually, it would be great to see pallet specific tutorials like urban decay heat pallet tutorial, etc. Remember, people are watching tutorials cause generally we have no idea what we’re doing so a lot of detail and explanation is key. At least that’s why I watch them. lol Keep it up. Like I said, we need this!
I would really appreciate more in depth how to learn the direction/shape to put the darkest colors and shimmers. you obviously do it very naturally!! I think for ppl less experienced we don't know where the shadows should go. the shape you create is very unique. ik practice makes perfect and i try to play as much as possible but my skin is sensitive and can only handle 1 experiment a night 😅 I think I just tossed my jeffree lipstick in a similar shade but hoping i'm wrong cus i'd love to try that technique
You're gorgeous and I love your voice😊 Thank you so much for making these tutorials!! Any tips on one eye being rounder and one mor almond shape? It seems like my eye makeup always turns out better on the almond shaped one and I have trouble getting the other one to have the same effect
You mention creamy waterproof eyeshadwos all the time... but then you use a liquid lipstick? Do you usually use lipstick? Are there other creme eyeshadows you recommend?
Yes, some matte waterproof lipsticks are safe for eyes, not a lot of them. But still, like dose of colors, Jeffree star that I’m using, as a real creamy eyeshadows- Laura Mercier caviar stick is great, but pricey
Hi Vera. I really learn a lot from your videos. However, my main problem is I have vitiligo. Also my eyes aren't the same. One eye is more hooded and downturned than the other. First of all, I can't help but apply concealer on my 'bad' eye to hide the vitiligo and more often than not, I spend so much time trying to make both my eyes look the same. I could make a great eyeshadow effect on my 'good' eye, but it leaves the other one in bad shape. I hope you can help. Thanks in advance.
Hi Darling, I’m glad my videos are helpful and thank you so much for sharing 🥰 well, idk how I can help without seeing your features, you can substitute concealer with color correcting shade that you can find among waterproof creamy formulas, which concealer you are using? I need to know a shade, I’ll try to find the same color in the right formula
I’ve done it! Check my long-form tutorials. I also like to show makeup transformation, so my tutorials are divided into first soft everyday intensity then I’m showing how to intensify it 🥰
Thank you but you are going soooo fast! I am a beginner and I can`t keep up with you. I kept repeating and trying to follow with you but I got tired at the end. I also don`t know much about all these products. Please slow down. Say the names of products slower and talk less. Thanks again..
Press the pause button, catch up, hit play, and repeat. That's what I do. Her tutorials are fantastic. Telling her to talk less is rude. She's very consise compared to the commentary of other tutorials
@@Anna.21. doesn't work. I tried already. She goes through one or even two steps every second. I can't pause the video every second so it is impossible for me to catch up with her with my 0 skills in wearing makeup. You probably had previous experience with makeup before you started yo watch her videos. I gave up a long time ago because I don't have time to practice.
Sorry that it didn’t work for you, it’s my fourth language, I’m struggling too, it’s tons of work. I do my best! I’ll take it into consideration tho for sure
@marwayassine3769 It works. Sounds like you didn't try enough times. When you know that she goes through steps and names of products quickly, keep that in mind when you rewind and be ready to hit the pause button quickly. I have to rewind several times too, but it is possible to play, pause, rewind, play, pause etc to be able to follow along. Everything you said is just an excuse. It's not impossible to do regardless of your skillset/experience. You giving up a long time ago implies that you have previous experience with makeup too. Whether it's skilled or not, you've had experience so you can't use the excuse that you don't, bc that's simply not true. Between the complaining, excuses/shifting blame and not taking accountability, deflection by referring to my level of experience/skill to justify your reasoning, and making this all about you by telling the creator how SHE should do her content bc YOU can't press pause fast enough...it sounds like you're a pretty miserable person and I'm sorry you have such a negative outlook. I know my truth bombing is coming off harsh but I'm trying to be as objective about things as possible bc I'm really not trying to be mean😕 My intent is to help you be aware of what you're doing bc it's easy to see it in others instead of our own behaviors. I'm probably sensitive to it and able to identify the behaviors more easily than others bc some of the things I mentioned I struggle with doing too and not realizing it. Awareness is necessary for change❤️🩹 I hope things improve for you and wish you happiness, less stress, and all the best life has to offer💝

Thanks, Vera! I'm much older than you but I still learned a few tricks I can use bc my eyes have become much more hooded and downturned with age.
I’m obsessed
