I just bought a use 2019 ram 1500 big horn crew cab with the new style body like the one on the video, only one previous owner, this is my first time having a pickup truck, always had cars, but i got to admit they are fun to drive and very spacious and comfortable and provide more safety feeling, but I was amaze with all the standard features, has a luxurious look with the chrome wheels and diamond black paint job, but does not have led headlights but does have fog lights and 8inch touch screen radio and factory remote starter which is a plus, overall im very satisfied with my truck
Tradesman is the Dodge version of the 'work truck'. They are factory spec'd with vinyl seats & floors. Most dealers don't order the vinyl/rubber combo absolute base models, they usually order them with popular equipment group that includes carpet/cloth and xm radio. You can order one, which is a much better choice, as the few dealers that will order the base truck will get zero options added to it.
Only two cons: the lack of exterior and interior equipment and price. I'm a Ram guy but I just can't justify how Dodge can sleep at night knowing that these trucks cost wayyyyy too much. Regardless of the times or generations, it's just getting harder and more difficult for the working man to afford these vehicles, while trying to pay rent, bills, home utilities, etc. I should not have to decide on whether to pay a vehicle note or rent or a cell phone payment because they all cost the same. (I don't understand cell phone prices either, ridiculous)
I don't know if buying a silverado 5.3 awd WT or this tradesman 5.7 etorque awd. Price is slightly better for the chevrolet that is also lighter and slightly quicker. but the ram has air suspensions, etorque technology and supposedly better comfort. That's an hard choice for me. Consider I want a pickup but rarely haul more than 250 lbs. I just buy it because I want a fullsize suv (like the tahoe) space engine and platform in a cheaper package. Any advise for me?
personally I like the Ram, Better ride quality, GM has a very weird active fuel management and you don't get as many standard features with the GM. the 5.7 Hemi is proven.
My 2020 1500 Tradesman 5.7 crew cab 4x4... With tow package. Almost has everything except leather and power seats. Bed liner ect...22 in SRT Hellcat replicas. 285 Mickey Thompson tires..
I think the cd player is an up grade to the radio i built mine and ourderd from the factory with out the cd player (would have cost more if i upgraded) with the uconnect i play all my music from my phone but every tradesmen does have that extra storage under the middle seat 👍
Guys. Do not leave your tow mirrors out when you’re not towing. It’s literally the equivalent of wearing your pants below your underwear. It’s a signal yeah you are a willing participant or are looking for someone to participate a homosexual act
Very well equipped for a tradesmen
I agree!
So this is the base model ?
ram is a lot generous than gm
Yes and yes, lots of more standard features.
Funny you say that. I have a 2019 custom Silverado. Looking at trading. Owned the Chevy for 3 months. (‘I have only owned gym models)
@@gtamonkey3061 gm you provided the link for is not a base truck, unfortunately.
BornInBosnia what the fuck are you talking about the SLE is the bottom of the barrel trim for GMC vehicles
@@gtamonkey3061 There is one model below SLE. It is called their base model
I got mine 2 months ago 👊😎 and I love it... been slowly doing modifications and she's coming along beautiful 😍 so much power too I love it
Right on!

The big horn is a great value, glad you like it!
To say that all of that stuff in that interior is bare bones is absolutely hilarious!
Way more than base trucks did have back in the day.😂
Bare bones compared to what's offered in the more expensive models!
I own a 2016 Ram Tradesman. Very pleased with the truck, best bang-for-the-buck!!!
It is a great deal.
Sweet truck, great value. I'm going to go buy one tomorrow.
Good choice!
Dang, standard push button start? Automatic head lights? Sign me up.
Ram has stepped up their game.
I'm not sure if I agree . I'd take a regular old key ignition anyway . It's less electronic crap to screw up . And you know it will
@@EverydayJ1786 you're in the minority of folks opposed to the tech trends in trucks.
@@Brian-jv8iy What?? are you 18?
Loooooove this RAM.
Same!
$44k base truck? dang no shit. Truck price is going outrageous for real.
Standard features are becoming more common place.
Look at 1500 Classic, as low as $19,995.
Is it possible to get a a better infotainment screen in the tradesmen?? like for example: Apple Carplay and Android Auto??
Possibly in 2020 models!
This one fireproof 🔥
yes??
Can the Tradesman be ordered with a rubber floor / no carpeting? Thinking of it as a work truck. Mud and carpeting do not mix.

They offer the full rubber floor mats that cover almost the entire floor
Yes!
Thanks for your great walk through to this vehicle I was very much impressed in your video and going to buy this model in White thanks again
Thanks for watching.
I'd like to see a single cab 2500 4x4 in tradesman trim.
I don't think single cabs are available yet.
He keeps saying "bare bones' but it beats the hell out of my 2015 Tradesman for standard equipment.
the Rams give lots of stuff with basic trims
And here you have your headlight control..... LMAO
yes
2018 RAM LED Headlights will fit into this?
No.

Right now they are overpriced, pre chip shortage they were super affordable!
@@DeLoEnterprises now that you say that, I believe it because trucks were not always this high
You seen what we pay for the tradesman in Australia? This exact model with no extra is $110,000 AUD. ($81K USD)
Excellent review, will look for more . . . Thanks

Stop saying bare bones, you're not doing justice to this truck.
Work trucks tend to be not well equipped however RAM did a great job with this one.

Not bare bones. It has a HEMI. To me, the power plant is most important.
True!
That is true. My wife and I bought a 2020 V8 4x4 crew cab 6.4ft bed
People say tundra is outdated, true, but a base Toyota and base Ram are not that different.
Engine size and front exterior styling are similar but thats where it really ends.
Hi there is the vehicle has a eco drive mode in the base tradesman models
I think so.
Great explanation, really appreciate being so professional . But some options are not standard. thank you
Thanks for watching!
What is the price on this? I was looking at a Nissan frontier for around 35,000
Its similar in price, Price on this one is at the end of the video, Rebates are also very good.

Can that radio be replaced with a better aftermarket system?
Yes or even the 8" uconnect!

You forgot a cubby and cd player in the front. We found ours by accident. pull up the seat part of the center seat in front.

10 minutes into describing all the features: "You only get bare bones".
Compared to the Laramie and up it's "pretty bare bones"
4x2 please
I haven't seen many 4X2 up here in MI
@@DeLoEnterprises well trandemans is low grade?
Does that radio have Android auto?
I believe you need the 8.4" UConnect to get apple and android capabilities.
now I feel bad for my 10' ST
I hope they bring the ST or RS to the new Rams.
Very beautiful truck.
With 38,000 dollars in México I'd only get a basic and ugly Ford Ranger with manual windows 😢
Thats rough!
Got 19 Laramie-longhorn-get whopping maybe 12 mpg in city-buy you a ford
Fords are nice unloaded BUT as soon as you put some weight behind it, it becomes similar to big V8s.
