How To Change Rear Differential Fluid ( G35 Coupe ) 2019
Today We will be switching off the Rear Differential Fluid of my 2004 Infinity G35 Coupe and I will show you everything from materials to steps on how exactly to proceed with it.
Material:
- Gear Oil ( 75W-90 with Limited Slip Differential for the 18" rims) $25 for both
- Fluid Pump $7
- Hex Key 10 mm
- Breaker Bar
- Gorilla Gloves
Hey, BeDistinct. I love the videos first off. Second I was told that the car had to be on jacks and level. However you proved the information wrong. On the flip side I use OEM because I haven’t modded my 07 G35 Coupe yet. The best place to get OEM and even some after market would be at Z1 Motorsports. They specialize in Nissan and Infiniti. Thanks for your. Video helps me good, I want to share my experience and don't happens to you, when I was pumping the battle slipped and dropped some oil, and need buy other quarter, but one is enough if you don't dropped 😊, my area cost $120, to do this change.

That’s the last time I tried to remove that damn filler hex plug. I’m going o spray was Wd40 on it and see if it helps. 😅

If you have never change the rear diff you better. A lot of old heads including my dad feel that it’s just a stealership scheme but in this case it’s not. Those metal particles “that the dude mentioned in the video” are not good for your differential. If you recall he said the drain plug is magnetic hence the metal particles will hopefully stick to it.
did you delete the resonator too? or just the muffler

Can I change my diff fluid on a 2003 G35 Coupe 5A automatic or is it for manual cars only?
It’s for all g35s. I have a 2007 auto and when I use to take it to the dealership for routine service the diff fluid was one of the services. I think like every 60k miles but I’m going off memory.
I’m actually about to do mind now and had to order new filler and drain plugs because I thought the filler plug was striped. Those bastards put it on so tight I can get it off. So he’s right, make sure you can loosen the filler out before you do anything else.

How often does this need to be changed?
Did you use two bottles or 1 bottle to fill up ?

Do you got the base model g35? (de) or the (hr)?
G35 coupes only have de (03-04)
Late model G35 coupes (05-07) have de rev up
You said it takes 1.5 quarts to fill back up, but you filled it with one bottle. Witch is only 1 quart

Dang, at least they keep it nice and clean, but yea saves you some bucks if you are out of warranty.
Can i use the same oil even tho my stock rims are 17'?
AlienCandy yea, engine is still the same, they switched from DE engine to HR but the differential fluid is the same
