Hello I came across your video and I just wanna say thank you for all these information, I started a restaurant business and, I wanted to start something else that would be more profitable and trucking and as one of the things that’s came across my mind, with that being said I think your video popped up for a great reason that would be beneficial to me.. I own 2 laundromats in low income areas. I work about 25 hours a week and gross about 240K a year. whilst working with an advisor like Julianne Iwersen Niemann. I used to work in Sears repairs,, so I saved money by fixing my own machines. Believe it or not, the soap detergent vending machines bring in a good amount as well. Trust me starting and maintaining a profitable business starts with properly managing your finance.
I owned 3 laundromats in SF. The biggest 3 issues? The Lease, the lease and the lease. Got screwed by two owners that didn't renew the lease. If you own the building, different story. Probably, it will not be bad to work with your advisor

Thank you for sharing, I must say, Julianne appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her web page, I went through her resume and it was quite impressive.
If you're gonna get into this business thinking outside the box is key to being successful.. Dont be scared to get on the phone or go in person and work with customers directly especially if you're local. You will be saving them money cutting out the broker and putting money in your pocket avoiding a broker/dispatch service.. Also if you're delivering ask for a Logistics/Warehouse manager seeing if you can bid on some of their lanes, its an easier conversation while already there. I was a broker for 7 years and worked with all the big box stores all across the US, if you have questions just ask.
Hey men i gotta say that your comment has been really helpful and i appreciate that is with the intention of helping other in this business... I have 2 questions since a long time ago and now that im about to start Id appreciate your advice... do you think that i would be able to do local loads in the Chicago area after 6 months of doing Over the road? also do you think that a reefer box truck has a big difference in better opportunities than a dry one? Thanks in advance!
You are the best.. great advice. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. I'm new to the box truck business and need all the help I can get.. thank you mam.
As somebody who is new to the owner-operator side of the trucking industry. I have some questions, when financing a box truck or even a semi truck, should I put 10-20k to get the truck financed? Or would it be more lucrative for me to put that 10-20k in an LLC account for collateral on business credit? Then use the business credit to get the truck?
Great question. This question is layered, because you have options and your choices can get complex. I’ll create a video explaining my response. Your question deserves a greater explanation. I’ll let you know once it’s posted.
I’m looking to partner with my friend and we are saving up money to start the business and buy a truck. Can you tell me how much you would recommend us to have to start the biz with.
Great video. But I have a couple questions. I have no business credit and my personal credit is shit. However , I do have enough $ to buy a truck for around $60k. That would leave me with about $50k cash on hand. So you think those variables are enough to get me business credit ? If so how much? Also, you mentioned that you should have 2-3 times the amount the purchase price of your truck in savings. Does this mean I need $150k in the bank? Thanks! And congrats on your fabulous success. Amazing
Hello, I have a question if you could answer for me, how should your FM CSA read once you’re finished should it read operate as a property broker general freight or did I pick the wrong property for hire?

Hello, I am a new subscriber! I just started my business but there is so many things I have to learn. I having issues with insurance because they say I need to have the vehicle already in order to get insurance. But I decided to go the rental route starting off before purchasing my first truck. The rental companies have commercial insurance. So is it necessary for me to obtain my own insurance even though the rental companies offer it?? Is it the same type of coverage and insurance??
You will need more than 10K to start your box truck business as a buyer. If you decide to rent, you may be able to flip this but you need to start ASAP because rentals can be costly. Your credit score and driving record will determine your truck rental premium, be mindful you need to have an opportunity ready before you start spending money.

You may want to get a really good, repossessed truck at an auction for less, and minimize your risks if you seek to enter trucking.
I just posted a new video for those who need additional help.
Hello, I have a question if you could answer for me, how should your FM CSA read once you’re finished should it read operate as a property broker general freight or did I pick the wrong property for hire?
You can call them, they will walk you through on how to withdraw it
It should say ‘for hire’
If you have “broker” you have the wrong authority for owning and driving trucks.
