A few mistakes my friend on this installation. Fill the gap around the pipe with silicon and once pipes are cut slide backplate brackets on and offer the mixer in place because you have no play with the pipes

@@TheNuclearManx if it were me I would use a 22mm to 3/4 adapter. The only problem with this method is you kind of have to get it pretty spot on, if it protrudes too much your chrome collars won't meet the wall, if it protrudes too little you won't have enough thread to nip the shower valve up. Hi, thanks for watching. 98% of exposed valves such as this one will be 150mm pipe centres. There are a few exceptions to that though however, you'd be very unlucky to have one of those.
It was my plan, my Mrs got very fed up with not having a bathroom though so I was squeezing an hour in here and there, it just didn't leave me with enough time for filming etc

@@JW-rx3md 32 mm hole saw for the pipe outlets. 6mm Bosch bit (blue ones sold in Screwfix) for mounting the brackets.

The pipes sticking out of mine are 22mm, is there anything I can do, as all fixing kits I've seen are for 15mm

The copper pipe has to be perfect fitted for the distance in between otherwise....
