It's a shame they don't still make the Fender Marauder - not as wild as the unreleased vintage model that inspired it, but a really cool axe nonetheless
Absolutely People just didn't get the Triple Bucker. I'm actually thinking of putting one in the bridge position of one of my Reverends to get those straty in-between sounds.
@@minceraftfornite4334 But it will never feel like one. The biggest difference for me between a $200 and a $1000 guitar is in build quality. I knew so many kids growing up who quit playing because their guitars were shit and they didn't feel good to play, and even with a decent setup, they'd spend half the time they intended to be playing trying to keep the things in tune. A part of me dies inside every time I see a kid pick up a cheap guitar because I know they've dramatically reduced their likelihood of sticking with it. My suggestion to guitarists looking for cheap options is always, always, always buy used, and if you can, buy guitars with cosmetic defects. I bought a Sterling St. Vincent at a discount, and then got a further reduction in price when it arrived and I found one of the pickup screws had been drilled in too far and punched through the back of the guitar creating a small chip in the finish on the back. Got a $600 guitar for $400. But don't for a second believe that there's no reason to pay more. Find a deal if you can, and you can occasionally get good guitars new for cheap, but don't make the mistake of thinking there's no significant difference between instruments in different price ranges. Also, the cheaper you go, the more likely the instrument was produced under unethical labor conditions, which is always something to avoid if you can.
@@LukeJLB totally agree with your comments especially the unethical labor part it’s sad that there are ppl put into those conditions but I think you can find a quality guitar for $200
Reverend, far and away, have the best, high quality colors/finishes and component details for this price point. Headquarters: Toledo, Ohio. Reverend Rules~!
PureSalem make not only beautiful guitars, but ones fantastically crafted from high-quality materials! And no, I don’t work for them… I’ve just never run across a bad PureSalem. (Their La Flaca model in particular is awesome to play, and in burgundy especially it’s beautiful… although that model’s a little above the price range of the others in this video.) I’ve never known PureSalem to skimp on quality, so while all this video’s models look great, I’d gravitate to the Levitation!
Hey Ricky thanks for the kind words and support!!! it means the world to me. Word of mouth is EVERYTHING for us so THANK YOU !!! -Rick Sell PureSalem Guitars / owner.
@@hathaway.1166 tbh I kind of wish a little bit this wasn’t a signature. Not because of her, I just don’t like buying signatures in general. But I understand she came up with the design and everything so having her name on this only make sense. There’s not a lot of markings on it anyway so I appreciate that. Can’t wait to be able to affrord the MM version of this, still working towards getting this. Such a beautiful guitar, instant classic.
Not in production currently, but the Jag-Stang wins this category for me. I was always fascinated by it and definitely want one, but could never afford it as a kid starting out in the 90s. It was juuuuust out of my price reach, so of course I got a Squier Strat lol - I fondly remember looking at the Sonic Blue and Fiesta Red Jag-Stangs in 1996 hanging on the George's Music wall.
Reverend are kicking so much ass. I have guitars that cost twice as much but my rev stays in the double gig bag because it sounds great and is super reliable.
I personally swear up and down by reverend guitars as a whole. Seriously, check them out, they have something for everyone, any genre, any style, and you won't be disappointed in their quality control
D'Angelico has unique solid body designs, especially the Bedford (and a few years back, they had the Ludlow with an even more unique design). Their "Premier" serie is under 1,000.
I think another "Music Man likely to become a future classic" is the Majesty. I remember it got a cool reception at first, but seems to be spreading like wildfire not just among Dream Theater fans by now. And from all I've seen and heard it's insanely ergonomic and versatile.
@@Foxglove963 that's actually false, never was stated by ernie ball that it was modeled for that, and St. Vincent has never said it was modeled for that.
@@questionablekortex3191 Of course those hypocrites don't mention that fact. But I did some reading on their guitar and came across the mention of why it was designed this way.

Nice collection of odd guitars. I would like to have the St Vincent Signature as well as the Rivolta, and the Reverend Double Agent . Or mayne the Reverend Jesttrem Ron Asheton Signature. I have a Guild Newark St. T-Bird ST. It's like a mix of the two you show in the video. The tailpiece and wiring is like the model with P-90's (not the fancy Jaguar-like stuff) but with mini humbuckers. I just love it and i don't see a lot of videos of this guitar here.
My biggest problem with a lot of the contemporary companies' attempts to put out unique or vintage guitars is they cop out the most important aspect - the pickups. Half of these guitars were like that - here's a quirky shaped body - but we're just going to stick a couple of boring Gibson-style humbuckers in it. They need to take some lessons from old Japanese and Italian guitar makers and get creative with the *entire* instrument and not just make it a funny shape.
I wish millimetricinstruments made an affordable production line. They're such amazing guitars, and so different. But even if you have the money for a hand-made example, they're back-ordered for years. I'd definitely get one if the maker would set up one simple model for mass-production around $1,000 - even if it couldn't have those jaw-dropping fret-ends.
The mondial is actually much more like the supro corranado even down to piezo in tailpiece though corranado used contact mic as piezo wasn't out at time
Pretty intresting , though i believe they're focusing too much on the body's decorations and not on the necks, some binding would of been sick on those "italias", switching up the dot inlays once in a while would be cool, like the old Hofners 173s
I ordered and returned 2 Sterling St. Vincent's, they both came in such bad condition that I had to send the first one back for a replacement and then send that one back too because it was just as bad as the first one. I even contacted Sterling directly with a video of how horrible this guitar played. I love Annie Clark and wanted to support but it was one of the worst guitars I've ever played. It was all the builders fault too. The set up was horrible horrible; sharp frets, high action, fretting out, no tuning stability, etc etc. I was almost impressive how bad it was. The pick ups were ok. I really didn't want to accept that the guitar was this bad but when the 2nd one was exactly as bad as the 1st, I gave up. I do own 2 Hagstroms and a Reverend, I love those to death... especially Reverend.
“The Fantomen” Hihi! I’m sure no one cares but I’m waiting for the kettle to boil. The way Swedish grammar works “the” goes on the end of words in the form of “en” or “et”. The Los Hermanos Brothers is still one of the best band names ever.
My personal experience with eastwood hasn't been great... despite being a canadian company all of their gear is made in china. Looks good, plays alright but cheap build without the price to match.
