Wunderschöne und elegante Interpretation dieses fein komponierten Konzerts mit seidigem doch gut phrasiertem Ton der genialen Solovioline sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und auch bezaubernd. Der erfahrene und ebenso geniale Dirigent leitet das perfekt trainierte Orchester im angemessenen Tempo und mit angenehmer Dynamik. Grande, nuestro querido Reynaldo Hahn, nacido en Caracas, durante la época del Presidente Antonio Guzmán Blanco quien era amante de lo francés. Estudió con Massenet, Gounod y Saint-Saëns, tuvo de compañeros a Alfred Cortot y Maurice Ravel, y fue amigo de Serguéi Diáguilev y Marcel Proust, este último lo homenajearía en su novela 'En busca del tiempo perdido', con el personaje de "Vintelli", también músico. Los Venezolanos, y en especial el Sistema de Orquestas de nuestro país, deberíamos hacerle más honor a su nombre, al igual que nuestra querida pianista Teresa Carreño (1853-1917), y gracias Bartje Bartmans, por subir tan grandes obras.
Como venezolano le doy las gracias por compartir esta obra de Reynaldo Hahn. En este trabajo se lucen el solista, el director y la orquesta. Cuesta imaginar una mejor grabación de esta obra, y la hemos escuchado gracias a usted, amigo.

Hillary Hahn is born in Lexington, Virginia. Her paternal grandfather was German. Reynaldo Hahn was from Venezuela, so it is highly unlikely they are even remotely related. Hahn is a common name in Germany.
