Thanks to all the musicians that played that night and to Phil for letting us all enjoy the music. There were fall downs, errors, spontaneity, wicked riffs and beats, great moments, smiles, jamming and the band even blew the power like a good old rock show! Twice!
Honeslty one of the the greatest guitarists ive ever seen, how is phil x not world famous , he has way more talen than any of the dueche bag rappers today....its so sad
amazing sound! And playing of course...it just strikes me how he tone hunts each song...gear, playing, feeling, sound. Singer rips it also. Greetings from greece xenidis!
@fiddevogel Custom Sound - For the Phil X Jams at the Lanc, Phil was using Plexi clones that were built for him by Lou Roppoli. The Top Amp Head is a Roppoli Plexi 100 Watt Head. Hand built and hand wired using custom hand wound Power and Output transformers. Built to exact 1968 Specifications, going into a Ho Electroninc design 2 channel Attenuator hand built by Roppoli Amps.
@slashfromgnr93 There's a guy with his finger on the pulse! Not many people would know what tunes are left from that night a year later. Yeah we will get that one up sooner or later.
@Kokki66 It's no accident because the first big name bands played Gibsons and Fenders because at that time, that's all that was really available and they were not as expensive at that point. So bands over the decades played the same gear.
@MrGetalife23 Canon HD cameras, Canon H1 and Canon A1's. Thinking about doing a video on them actually, lots of people have asked about that. thanks for watching!
@Snakebloke He got up out of the audience to sing for some fun. Even if you don't like this song on this night, he is a great singer. Anyway, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It's appreciated and so are the comments.
@kochiyose12 He has a little action figure under it. Theres no pick up. (just felt like sharing) Check "Phil X Studio Gear Tour part I & II" if you want to see more awesome stuff about this guy :D
@TheGabbia I've owned 2 Squire Strats and 1 Squire Tele... Then I upgraded to an American Strat and 2 Gibsons. Sure the physical quality is better... wood etc., but the sound wasn't that far off. The difference was only heard when playing on a high output amp. BTW a ukulele and a classical guitar is a silly comparison.

My throat is scratchy while listening to this!
Honeslty one of the the greatest guitarists ive ever seen, how is phil x not world famous , he has way more talen than any of the dueche bag rappers today....its so sad
Now This PhilX band is a real rock group!!!! So refreshing to see good musical talent as these guys!!!!!!
I love how Phil used a Cooler Grill to cover the hole of the neck pickup... that's creative, and looks great too.
phil x e un mostro sacro come suona lui ce ne sono pochi in giro per me e un chitarrista di talento fuori dal comune........
I recently learned this song on UA-cam. Phil plays it really well like everything else he plays. Get it on Phil!
Probably the best cover of Back in black I've seen.. 3 cheers for Phil and the band!!!
PHIL X IS THE BOSS
I was at this and it was amazing....vocals superb...remember this guy singing Sabbath from the 80s with Sidinex...
best guitarist..
Thank you, you make it worth it!
amazing sound! And playing of course...it just strikes me how he tone hunts each song...gear, playing, feeling, sound. Singer rips it also. Greetings from greece xenidis!

wat is the spider web thing on his guitar ??????? its so kool
@itsAniQ There is color correction used to alter the looks. Don't recall exactly what I used. 3 Way Color Corrector and RGB Balance perhaps.
@matthayes1993 he doesn't have a neck pickup. It's covering the cavity hole. :)
THE TONE IS GODLY HOW DO YOU GET THAT TONE WITH ONLY ONE PICKUP??? >:O
Assolutamente d'accordo!!!
solo is nutss
and i like it, and i tune down a half step to :P
@silydog1 i think it's a fan cage or sth like that, he explained it in a video
Actually, that's Phil's favourite guitar! ;)
Tone is in the fingers. Phil X can make ANYTHING sing.
@KARRF233 i think its the standard flat (Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb)
cool

I really dig phil's vocals at 3:18 :D
@MrGetalife23 Canon HD cameras, Canon H1 and Canon A1's. Thinking about doing a video on them actually, lots of people have asked about that. thanks for watching!

@Snakebloke He got up out of the audience to sing for some fun. Even if you don't like this song on this night, he is a great singer. Anyway, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It's appreciated and so are the comments.
Μπορεί να μην γεννήθηκε εδώ, στην Ελλάδα, αλλά έχει καταγωγή από εδώ!!! :D
The vocalist is awesome :D And Phil is the fucking man !

hi phil i need that pick up but in your website i dont know wich one is bridge pick up 1 or 2
taghazoutoo Did you ever get your answer to this? Just curious. (You can also try him on Insta or Twitter ... he's been more active there.)
@unsology there is no neck pickup its a fan grill.
@themadbassplayer13 it's an ESP VIPER. Covered with stickers coz he doesn't like its color.
@casual35 nicely said dude
@joecruzguitar btw, the most important thing is that the cover sound´s goood.
@w3b5t3rvg Thanks, just trying new things. Thanks for watching.
@matthayes1993 This affects on the pull of the strings, and improves the sustain ;)
@RobsCovers True! :)
@BreathingTheDark hummm... you right about the harmony structure, they play like the original, but in this video, they use half step down tunning.
is it my idea that from 0:15 they slowed down the rythm????
P00TANARA Welcome to my band hehe, meh, it happens. Lose the in-ears and get some rock'n roll back into rock'n roll.
Peter Ponjaert thanx, its was just a notice not judging, we have the opposite problem with our drummer!! RnR
Keep Rockin' that Canadian flag Phil X!
me too
yep i noticed
what was that camera filter effect used?
i like the vocalist :D
超カッコいい(*゚∀゚)
Anybody got any ideas as to what amps he's using?
chally55 Don't know but Phil loves Marshall and is currently endorsed by Friedman. Hopefully that narrows it down (unless it's an in-house PA).
the tone is in the fingers dude
gyroscope solo FTW! =)
i'd say he nailed it
How did you upload this without being blocked?
@rockynashfilms
Is that your final answer?
I would have preferred to sing phil
@SuperDsffdsf there's actually a wolverine figurine in there
@themadbassplayer13 it's an SG, but not a gibson and it's covered in stickers.
Man - Kenny f*&kin' Powers can wail...!
@matthayes1993 THERE IS NO PICKUP UNDER THE FAN THIS IS JUST THE BRIDGE PICKUP ALL THE TIME
@kochiyose12 He has a little action figure under it. Theres no pick up. (just felt like sharing) Check "Phil X Studio Gear Tour part I & II" if you want to see more awesome stuff about this guy :D
@casual35 Some have to... I want to be a session player and that requires a fairly diverse collection.... \m/
What camera's were used?
@TheGabbia I've owned 2 Squire Strats and 1 Squire Tele... Then I upgraded to an American Strat and 2 Gibsons. Sure the physical quality is better... wood etc., but the sound wasn't that far off. The difference was only heard when playing on a high output amp. BTW a ukulele and a classical guitar is a silly comparison.
@tmaras64 who is that guy, if you know?
