@@gr8finds196 and what made it even more desirable was the word we is very readable almost unheard of with the whole series of years even the 1865 I found was in almost mint condition other then being in the ground for over a century it was found in sandy soil it preserves coins tremendously and the we is completely gone and that is with large Letters not the small motto huge difference What made that coin so much better it was with a beautiful US union buckle with a 3 inch artillery shell with half the lead still on it I remember like yesterday it was only 2 years old ago and the crazy thing was not ten minutes later my son find a beautiful US Union ammunition plate almost the same thing only it wasn’t used to hold your pants up

Some great finds. Two cent pieces seem to fair better than other 1800s copper coins - why is that?
I’m not really sure. But the same happens with some the IHPs we find. They come out really green in pa. Maybe they have another metal mixed in?
