The not threaded eye bolt may be what we call a “vine eye” in the UK. They were hammered into walls and fences to provide support for climbing plants. Great video Chad. Andy
@@SamMobleyLiving we aren't sure. Our maps of the area go back to 1858 and there's nothing on this location. Likely there was a home or multiple homes here that were gone by then.
New sub here from central Massachusetts. Nice work, we have a field just like that, my buddy popped a draped bust half dime a few years back in pristine condition, it was a 1797 “Likerty” valued at around $8500 it the dug condition. You just never know what will flop out. Great job, love the channel.
Kinda makes you wonder what was going on to have all those buttons in one area? Any kind of war skirmishes, maybe burial grounds? Just make you think a bit. Thanks for sharing.
What a great Christmas video, A big congrats Cort, on your Draped Bust dime. To bad people didn't lose as many coins as they did buttons back then. Have an awesome Christmas guys.
Chad sent me the pic of your recent little adventure. I know it isn't a contest and we are all just out here having fun, but Dear Lord what a day you guys had. Huge congratulations to all of you.

Why are there so many buttons in a particular spot? It’s fascinating to me.

@cortadams1124 Thanks Cort, this was the best day we ever had. We are looking forward to going back again on new years day.
If you Put that dime between 2 pieces of hard plastic put it in a Press and flatten it back straight it will not hurt it.
Why don't you Guys carry a small mason jar full of water with a tooth Brush.
We all carry water spray bottles and toothbrushes.
