If they were available in Australia I would drive one on the Gibb River Road and explore the remote Kimberleys. Sadly here in Australia the average earner has been denied our freedom to travel off-road and explore , regular 4x4 vehicles are just to expensive and unaffordable. The Thar is the perfect vehicle for us mere mortals
This guy is not talking even a word about negativity of this vehicle. Unless we drive and experience without that no one can take others words for granted. When I’m driving well equipped suv even for a short distance we need hand rest without that it is easy to get back pain. Also no foot rest driver is forced to pull is leg closer to body and take it back every time to change the gear which causes stress to body as we have to sit in defined position. I would rather prefer automatic for comfort drive in city. Mileage is a big concern for some buyers. Hope Mahindra will come up with eco drive mode. This is ideal off road vehicle and is unbeatable with any other in its class. Some necessary improvements are a must. Hope it may be considered by manufacture to make it 100% unbeatable.
I really hope the rumour of 4door version to turn true that would be the real breakthrough for Indians into lifestyle vehicles coz at the end of the day rear seats are not that spacious as a normal Indian Household would enjoy !!!!
It looks so good with its top down, wish it had some boot space. That's the only thing stopping me from buying this as my second car. Would've been a hoot to take it out for trips
It's bit confusing to see different statements on mileage of petrol version... Last time I came across a video saying it gives 15kmpl( petrol automatic) and then now 8 kmpl.... I am just real curious to know the exact mileage ....since I feel with so much of refinement with the engine the mileage too needs to improve
just wanted to know if the tour @ Bharatmala - a part of special approvals or open for general public as well. also, should one want to have the same tour - what are the options...
I really love this car. But those headlights (and fog lights) are in a so deep well. Since we have an agressive MVD here in Kerala. Additional lights would invite fines. I am doubtful about those lights ability in my home turf, that is ghat roads and estate roads. I didn't see anybody opinioned about it. Whats yours??
Yaaar 4 door real powerful that will smash it outta park... I mean if the 4 door could hit like 8 sec to 100...i kno it's an off road car but the fact is there is nothing in our market which is fun and accessible... Good sounding powerful 4 door thar....... Chumma gadi
I have booked the exact red rage automatic petrol thar. I believe the torque is 320 NM, however you said 300. Can you kindly clarify. Also, is the petrol engine a good decision ?
If fuel efficiency is not a concern for you and you dont have frequent trips with car then petrol is the one to go. Because it will need less maintanence and it will work at high altitudes and cold situations easily.but the only problem is mileage.it will be well under 10. Avg will be 8 to 9. If you have frequent trips go for the diesel.mahindra diesel engine is fun to drive and now its more refined.it will return an avg of 12 to 13kmpl.seen some videos of someone getting 17kmpl.
I m done with any Mahindra cars. You are talking about refinement but how about body rusting tactics by Mahindra. I assure you that within few months the special rust will eat up your beautiful thar which is designed by Mahindra itself.
People like the Thar because there is no alternative available in the market. It feels unstable and uncomfortable around just 100kmph! To be honest the car is pretty average and overhyped in my opinion.
Bunch of whimps ! I’ve driven the Gypsy since 1987 ; on road and almost as much off road. I don’t give a damn about noise comfort or ease of driving. A car needs to be driven and that is what the Gypsy an to some extent the old Thar was. This new version is for yuppies , or should I call them puppies ?
Ha ha...We have heard this statements over and over in royal Enfield forums, about how the bikr lost its charm by changing gear lever from right to left , and how the new engine lacks thump. Older riders calling younger ones on classic 350 as whimpies & so on. With that logic the Himalayan should only be bought by those planning to ride to The Himalayas ....
Given the chance, where would you like to take the Mahindra Thar for a road trip? Comment below!
Hard top, soft top, topless all in one would be perfect.. hard top for normal days.. soft top conevertible for trips
To a realistic Indian road and not the best roads in India, not even open to the public. Doesn't seem like a fair highway road trip test.
Leh🤩
Considering the capabilities I would love to take the Thar to Spiti Valley.
The latest craze is Dharma village, Pithorgarh, Uttarakhand.
"This is a car that will stick around in your garage even if your second car is a Porsche". Defines a true enthusiast💪🤟😎.
For sure
Absolutely 💯
Man, every word uttered by Sirish is true for this car. We should all be proud of this product from Mahindra.
Mahindra and Tata are becoming a headache for those who make unsafe car for Indians' in the name of milage.
Nice slap to Maruti Suzuki 😄
@@muhammedjasim158 and hyundai sisters also
Exactly 💯😂

I like this new Thar very much indeed. Can’t wait for mine to come.
Best part about the new Thar? It could be your daily driver! You no longer have to be a hardcore off-roading enthusiast to buy one
What is diesel model fuel efficiency
Don’t mention Porsche 911 or draw 25

Definitely you got a soft spot for THAR.

I thought this vedio is shot in Australia, great camera work

I too always felt that but then it would kind of look like how bolero looks now dynamics wise
It looks so good with its top down, wish it had some boot space. That's the only thing stopping me from buying this as my second car. Would've been a hoot to take it out for trips
Same here :(

Really enjoyed this video….the talking was way too good
Most awaited review till now
Fully agree with your views on road performance. I recently did a road trip with my new Thar from Goa to Mumbai and back and have the same opinion.
just wanted to know if the tour @ Bharatmala - a part of special approvals or open for general public as well.
also, should one want to have the same tour - what are the options...
I'm going to book one...after watching this video...

Madam Choudhury ❤️❤️❤️
the thar used about half a lakh on fuel for this. remember good old days when fuel was 55-60 rs. its almost double now
4000 km drive and fuel average 8 and a half per litre.??? That's killing ..man..!!
Petrol or diesel??
@@jithinm375 petrol automatic

Then get a diesel. LOL
I proudly own a Thar 2020 petrol automatic convertible
