    Rest in peace tommy Gambino. He passed away today. He wasn't a tough guy. He wasn't a shooter. He was a quiet mild-mannered racketeer that made a ton of money. He respected the life. even after they killed his Uncle Paul, he fell in line with the new administration. He got indicted with John Sammy and Frankie Loc and went to federal prison like a man. He was born as a mafia prince and his father would be proud of his son and how he lived the life. He died a free man of old age and he took his opportunity and turned his life in the mafia into legitimate businesses which created generational wealth for his family. That's a happy ending if you ask me.

      Tommy was severed in that case. Judge Glasser gave him 5 years. TG'S only jail time. Died of old age and his family inherited
      over $400,000 million plus a trucking company run by his son, TG, Jr. TG RIP.....

      @@Lewis-u9y he lived his life as a man and never compromised his integrity. I respect his career. His father would’ve been proud. I think Tommy Gambino was the last of the old-school mafioso.

    The beginning was beautifully put on AJ. How you have changed your life and are now helping people who can't afford treatment is AWESOME. Because we all know, there are a lot of people who don't have the coverage or can't afford it, most just need a little help, that's it. Not all drug addicts rob and steal, most are functioning addicts who have jobs, and there are some who, you know do what they believe, they have to do to survive.

      I’m not giving anyone that robs and steals a pass, even addict, but a lot of those addicts who do rob and steal were amazing people who otherwise never would have done any of the things they do on drugs. One friend of mine was the most kind and amazing person I had ever met but after years on heroin he robbed a store. Luckily he got treatment and now has a family and a business, but it’s sad to see what impact drugs has on people and families. You’re right tho helping people who need treatment is awesome.

    Very well said. Violence draws a lot of heat as does the drug trade. Once you have those convictions on your record trying to live as a citizen becomes that much more difficult. Decisions you make as a young man could be still affecting you into your 40s and that "easy money" it's seriously like a loan you can never repay... Talk about vigorish...Sheesh.

    Being from the area Tom is everyone I grew up with. You knew who was and wasn't and acted accordingly. In other words Grandma could walk down the street any time of day with no problems. People who caused problems, disappeared. You minded your business and don't ask for a favor. No problems if you acted respectfully. If they asked you for a favor like taking an envelope from point A to point be. Do it , when they offer you money say respectfully no . Say I did it out of respect. That kept you out of their tentacles. If you took the money they would ask you again and again. Then you could not say no.

    I have a question Mr. Ruggiano when you were at the café liberty and skinny Dom was there. What was he like? I used to pick up his garbage twice a week when he lived on Lafayette Street and he would be outside. He was friendly but serious looking dude and sometimes I would see him get picked up by a guy in a silver town car. I believe the government, the FBI and CIA are the worst because they get away with whatever they want and no one questions them.

    Anthony, I am so glad I found your channel . . . love the stories and the way you express yourself. I have several friends who are into Mafia lore and they thought you were great. Everything I seen or read something about Tommy Gambino he comes across as working in the garment business only because of his father . . . very much out of place and under his father's thumb. All the best from Louisiana.

    • @eurobubble7068
      @eurobubble7068 2 роки тому

      wasnt his dad carlo gambino, his father in law was none other than tommy lucchese, who was the major player in the garment district and handed him over some of the business. wasnt out of place, ran the rackets over decades well with his brother, made a lot money before the feds started to crack down. arranged himself with gottis and then his sicilian relatives and their guys in charge, still alive at 92, leaving his children and grandchildren a fortune, just a few years in prison.

    They did write the book on treachery. Look into the Federal Reserve which is neither federal nor does it have a reserve (other than your money). Read "The Creature From Jekyll Island" for it's history of deceit and outright gangsterism.

    Only good thing a president in my time did was Nixon bringing our guys home from a hell called 'NAM. Tommy was a great man, he donated muti millions to very sick children. A lot of times a guy in that life have to make things happen for themselves. If people think you're a push over, a mass of people will be hounding you, what would John say when his cut got smaller and smaller? It wasn't just Roy, the whole bunch were maniacs, including Gaggi.

    My dad had a cousin in the Marcello Family in New Orleans, and my father almost became an associate. Thankfully that did not happen because he would have probably wound up dead or in prison. But your point is correct about the government being the real mafia. Bobby Kennedy dropped Carlos Marcello off in the Guatemalan jungle I guess hoping that he would die out there. RFK's father was a bootlegger, and they were not perfect, so I cannot understand why the Kennedy's betrayed you guys. Seems kind of stupid to me. Put it this way if I were the President and you guys helped me get elected you would have never heard a peep out of me.
