Mr. Gravano your voice has so much emotion when you tell your tale, its really something special, we can feel it , and see it . You paint a very good picture, thank you for sharing with the world, and i wanted to say this also. My grandfather used to say “its not how you fall down, but how you get back up , thats what matters, “ well Sammy you are standing up tall Sir!
Great comment here.
When you have LIVED thru something, Anything Whatever job you have Bricklayer to ticket taker, those people who work with you and support you and make your life better (and maybe just keep you alive period .)You develop feelings for those people Your friends are an extension of your family. They touch your soul and leave marks of memory on your mind. So when you speak of them, you do more than talk. If you have a heart and a soul you FEEL the people who have touched your life. You feel them FOREVER. So when you open up and speak of these people who have touched you, Emotion is not only Natural, it is the result of YOU being a "keeper" of those memories and the people who kept you. Loads of people ask me about what I think "Immortality" is. I'll tell you in one line: Your Immortality resides in the memory of everyone who carries you, because you carried them, and you always will.
This guy is the Dr Seuss of that life style. Half of what he says is straight lies. This guy is walking colostomy bag and that's the honest truth

That is very sad, deepest sympathy for your loss.
So sorry brother
Sorry for your loss
His storytelling never gets old. I’m gonna be late to work because I can’t turn this at midnight.
This series needs to be archived at the Library of Congress.
His heart, his intensity, his passion, and how genuine, Sammy is in telling these stories, I think, is what makes him the best, at recounting/reciting the mobs history, in and around the NY area. I was a kid growing up close to NYC. So I remember, alot of what Sammy is talking about, happening back then. It was the end of an era for the mob, and it's old timers, and the beginning of the end as well, for the mob as we knew it.
I, like yourself, like these stories. But dude the way you make Sammy out to be a mob historian. He was a brutal mob hitman. And is it just me or does every story he tell make him out to look like a saint and more of a powerhouse then he was. The layer the episode the more power Sammy seems to have
Either way if you enjoy these stories make sure to hit the like button and subscribe to the channel
@@miguelmarrero6760 I grew up around these people. I say these people, because I'm not one of them. Not saying it, because I'm trying to be disrespectful, but because I try to show respect to everyone, until I have a reason, to not show respect to a person. I try not judge people, because that also, is not my place in this world,
to judge and say, how a person supports his or her family. All I know, is I had the greatest childhood, one could imagine, because those people protected our town/community. We could play on the streets until the street lights came on. There was little to no crime at all, because these people didn't tolerate bullshit in our town. I've got more respect for mafiosi, than I do, for just about any of the politicians, in this country, and that's a fact!!!
@@GrayWolf73 Forgive me for how I came off towards you in that comment. I totally respect you and your comment. I was born in 90 in the Bronx and had a great childhood because people didnt tolerate bullshit in our town either. My point was about sammy himself. As much as I like these stories, I just find myself questioning sammys recounts. Because every story he tells makes him out to be a great guy lol, I have a feeling he had a different side to himself that hes not telling us about.
@@miguelmarrero6760No disrespect taken Bro. I was born in the city of Newburgh, about and hour north of NYC, In the same hospital, that Joe Bonanno died in, but five years beforehand. I'm nearing fifty years old, and I can tell you, that my memory is shitty on a good day. So Sammy, being the young man he is, I'm sure remembers, some things differently, than at 30 or even 40. Second, we all do things as men, that we are not necessarily proud of. Always keep in mind the history, of how most ethnic, and even non ethnic, organized crime starts. It usually starts, because of government tyranny, perpetrated on the common people of a country, or specific geographic area. Again, I'd trust Sammy in my home, before I trusted the Governor of NY, or even our own stellar halfwit of a President for that matter. Sammy's history, is between him and his maker, not the people on the internet.
He does tell a good story but always take what he says with a grane of salt. Did you ever wath a good movie and say wow what a great scene or great actor .Well I say no more
Probably my favorite episode next to the Johnny Keys one. The way Sammy describes everything, the way he tells the stories of the nuances of the life, you actually see it through his eyes.
The Johnny Keys episode was 45 minutes of incredible story telling that episode along with 8 and 9 of season 1 are masterpieces.

Sammy when I went through my divorce after 24yrs of marriage from my highschool sweetheart I was completely devastated. I felt like I could not eat, sleep, let alone function. During the Day my teenage daughter " bless her loving heart" struggled to guide me through life on a daily. During the night time was a whole other struggle for me to survive. Every night it was can I go on with this extreme heartbreak or should I just give up and take myself out. One night I was laying there crying and struggling to calm down to try and rest. Which I found impossible until I was searching UA-cam and came across a Mafia documentary about the Gambinos. I started to watch it and listen to it with ear phones in so I wouldnt keep my daughter awake in the other room. I was immediately swepted away and that night I started to heal. From that night on Ive watched every mafia documentary I could find every single night with a earphone in my ear to this very day. I know it sounds nuts but watching things about the mafia and interviews saved my life. I am now remarried to a wonderful man I have a great paying job and my beautiful daughter is grown. I owe it to mafia documentaries and interviews.
Nothing like Mafia documentaries to make one feel good about oneself!
Love from Scotland Sammy 🏴🏴
I always thought that Gotti was one of the worst bosses in Cosa Nostra history, and the man who would know best affirmed it for me. Thanks Sammy.
No argument there. Time Magazine definitely wasn't a good look
Gotti did what the other bosses did the fbi didn't have the tec too catch them talking, back in the day the police dam near had too catch you red handed.
I mean Joe Massino actually cooperated but okay.
Gotti never actually gave an interview with any media...

Sammy, I can feel & hear the intensity in your voice in every story that you tell...I can feel your understanding of the life, you have a knack & very keen ability to see, to know, to feel when there's something wrong, when something & or someone isn't just right, your ability to hear both sides, the comrodity, love, compassion, loyalty, respect, knowledge & know how to make money for the family, move up & to do what's right for the family, your attention to details & the pictures that paint & make feel is phenomenal & next to none, thank's to you & your crew for sharing all these great stories
I've learned so much from this man, not just history, but about culture and life and honour. I could never thank him enough.
You have a lot of issues if you learn anything from this guy. There's zero honour in killing family members, friends and innocent teenagers. Not to mention ratting on your friends. Smh
I'm absolutely captivated by these story's. I've binge watched the first 2 seasons over the last 2 days.
It's killing me every time he mentions picking up Frankie in pieces... That small, almost inaudible break in his voice sets it off.

I agree I can like picture the shit happening as he’s talking
Episode 3 about Frankie dicicco is gonna be good…it’s always brief with that story & what takes place after. I wanna see how Sammie viewed John before during and after this
No lie I think I’ve listened to this episode a minimum of 15 x’s . Sammy has such a gift of telling his life stories. He is a true artist, his drawings, and story telling. If he played an instrument like a guitar probably could of been a successful song writer/ musician. It’s a fact. Not saying it just to say it. It is the reason he climbed the ladder in what he did to leadership. He reminds me of my Dad on that level. He was in the fire dept. and had success made it to the dep. chief level. His brother who i took after in many ways did engage in some underworld activities as most of the guys did from their neighborhood. He did prison time. But after my Dad passed About 20 yrs later my uncle and i reconnected but of course. Top tier of what ever they did. Had art talents, my Dad as well. But did whatever they did successfully. Sammy didn’t just climb by doing hits. It is just the way people paint his life picture.
It's been out for less then an hour and is 20 minutes long. You look silly with these boys Sammy.

I like all of the episodes but in this one, Sammy opened up like never before and laid it all on the line. This was the best one as far as I'm concerned. Things obviously would have turned out very differently had John not became the boss.
I like them all. But, if I had to pick a favorite it would be “The Commission Hit” when he was assigned the Johnny Keys hit.
This was good but I really liked the Johnny Keys hit episode too, that was my favorite

Since your show started. Every Sunday I would sit with my dad just the two of us, if it was summertime he would come outside to the backyard and I would put this on for him and we would just sit id put bluetooth speaker on and we'd just hang out father and son two friends. It took a turn last year when he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostrate cancer. So I would go to my parents house and every Sunday I'd still put this on for him. Just want to say thank you Sammy for giving me and my dad something to look forward to. You brought us closer as father and son. Thank you. God Bless you and your family.
