I watch Jenna's videos while procrastinating on working on a project I have been working on since Febuary, and then I have an idea for a new project, so my collection grows and the cycle continues.
There I was 3 mins in thinking, its nice to see Jenna in her au-natural cave-troll millennial form as a single living alone, then she licks the honey lid. Totally 100% relatable and I love every second ❤❤
I make motifs between projects. Then I have some ready when I want to make a sweater or top. I also do that so it breaks up what I’m doing (change of hook, yarn, posture is good to prevent repetitive stress injuries). I do that with granny squares and hexagons. I also do some to try out new yarn. They’re great when you want a granny square blanket quick. Do a bright or dark row on the “baby colored flower) that will add a non-baby feel to it. A little background in a color that you’re not already using, or you only have a little of it already might tie it all together. If you use a dark green, or grass green it might be striking ( just a inch or so between groups or large flowers). You could also use green leaves placed here and there to break up the flowers. Just an idea. Your top is great. These are just ideas.
I read a comment on a video the other day. “each project has its own pace. Sometimes finding it is the challenge, sometimes accepting it is the challenge, and other times working to it” and I thought that was great advice for other creatives
Beautiful Freeform top. I like it. Freeform always takes longer than any other pattern of the same body but it’s so unique. Never will you ever see that design on anyone else.
Oh Jenna, all those hours spent on making the flowers was soooo, soooo worth it. Love how it turned out. Your designs may confuse me at first, but it never fails you do outstanding work in any thing you do. Thank you so much for posting your videos. 🥰
I can appreciate starting various projects, I often have 3 crochet projects simultaneously because I grow bored. My next project is a Yoo-hoo quilt. Love your creativity and your free flowing natural spirit. Your videos motivate my creativity thanks!
I absolutely love it!! I'm obsessed with all things floral and this is so beautiful, you did a great job. I bet people will stop you to ask where you got it. Love your videos!
I love how authentic you are! I'm trying to be more like you and just do what I feel like doing so I'm going to start today! You've inspired me to make a crocheted top! Hugs from Texas !!
I absolutely LOVE your crocheted flower top. I have a bag of flowers I crocheted & haven't yet decided what to make with them. Now, maybe I will do what you did!!
During the last video, I was really against the idea of turning it into a dress, but now with this “final” version, I’m DYING to see it extended to a mini dress. 😍 Fingers crossed for next summer!
You should utilize "TV" time to make flowers. Then at the very least you wouldn't count the hours involved. I absolutely love your energy. Look forward to the next video 😊
So amazing!! I've thought about making a freeform flower garment ... but the thought of piecing it all together makes me want to cry. Oh well. Maybe one day. I have lots of neat things to make in the mean time 🙂
Jenna, I think it came out so cute! It was worth all your hard work. I'm thinking at a later date you could add on and turn it into a 70's mini dress! Your videos are so much fun! I have to tell you, My granddaughter, when she was around 10 or 11 (she's now 24) wanted a flower hat. I was deep into doing hat's at that point but never made a flower. I bought books on how to make flowers , watched videos, and made at least 40 flowers to put on the hat. The hat was getting heavy and heavier, then I got really into this flower hat and added butterflies, a frog, ladybug and the list goes on. Of course I thought it was a masterpiece. She said she loved it but I'm sure the child never wore it out of the house. I told her, when she was older I was going to put in on EBay and make a fortune of of it!
It turned out beautiful. But you can also just make flowers randomly every so often and just put them in a basket that way by the time you’re ready to make the dress do you have flowers but I think that is the coolest shirt ever
Well done ❣️❣️❣️ As a long time hooker (crocheter), old enough to be your grandmother, I commend you on your creativity 😊 I'm always working on a project while watching your videos, sometimes I even frog what I just completed. Keep it up, you make my day❤
Video idea: what pieces is best with cotton yarn and what pieces are best with acrylic yarn etc etc to get some ideas on what you can do with the different yarns you I have at home 😃
Jenna this is one of your best projects eva!! You keep me entertained with your humor. I am just encouraged that you got all those different flowers completed. I'm about to embark upon making a winter granny square coat. Pray I getter done!! teehee
After your last video making the flower halter I knew I wanted to make one too! Then I realized I didn’t know how to make an array of crocheted flowers so after spending hours? On my felt like it, I may be ready to start.
Jenna the top is absolutely adorable, glad you got it done even though you seemed to get sick of making the flowers. A real cool accomplishment. Now take a break girl!
Jenna I love that top!! I think it is the best. The colors, the arrangement, all just works out so well!! Keep up the good work!! I enjoy your videos so much. Take care!! 😀😀
I loove the idea. The back is gorgeous. Personaly I think the blue flower at the neckline is a little too much cause it is really high now but other than that it is so cute!
Your videos are always a “pick me up” for me when I’m feeling down. You give me so much inspiration and motivation to create and do what I love. The top looks amazeballs!! The cost of making the shirt into a dress would be your sanity, so just be careful lol. Much love ❤️
Thank you for the lovely video. You inspired me. I am now planning a top with crochet flowers. I will have to make twice as many flowers as I am a 67 plus-size. 😅
Magnifico! That amazing, adorable crochet top is my favorite thing you’ve made. I appreciate not just your creativity, but your focus and dedication to your creative vision.
Jenna, brava! This top is amazing. A work of art. It's couture. I am so impressed. I know you got really tired of making flowers. That's understandable. But so very worth the effort. A one of a kind masterpiece. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think you are being very hard on yourself. You are so creative. You are working alone -- that can start a lot of negative self-talk and judging yourself. Good thing to take more bike rides and plan some coffee dates for conversation with REAL people. 🥰 The creative process is not about how long it takes. If it's toilsome, -- stop -- do something else. The time it takes to finish is irrelevant unless it's something like a wedding gown and it's promised by a certain date. Otherwise, enjoy putting your projects together and picking up on the inspired ideas coming to you. Is your goal is to have something that's incredible or something that's efficiently completed in X number of hours? Your top: GORGEOUS! When people see it, they will love it as much as you do and ask, What do you want for it? Tell them it took 70 hours to make and I won't take less than (at least) $400. (That's low.) Your work is awesome!
I was just about to suggest less negative self-talk and more positive affirmations! Remember, first time artists are in the process of creating along with you. You are doing MORE than just making flowers, baby! You are designing beauty! I can imagine you doing a lovely full length wedding gown of ivory flowers, made of a lace-weight crochet yarn, with very small pastel colorful centers. And a very long sheer veil with several 🦋 dainty butterflies attached randomly! Ahh, such a fashion statement you would make...! "Who made that masterpiece?" "Jenna P!" (sorry, my fantasy brain took over)
Girl you crochet like I do... Get a vision and fly by the seat of your pants pouring hours and hours into something that might not even fit. Hating everything half way through but soldiering on to finish it and love it! New subscriber here 😂
Looks good, but some advice from someone who is crocheting for over 20 years now, with patterns like this (a lot structure and cluster stiches) it is good to try to make decrease and increase to fit body more, yarn will eventually stretch and straight structure with top will wave after a while on the edges
Jenna, this top is the absolute cutest thing l've ever seen. You are SOOO TALENTED!!! Luv your videos, you're soo funny & your fur babies are darling. ❤
Absolutely love watching your videos Jenna, you have such fantastic ideas. The flower top you have just made is fantastic and beautiful. Best yet. Love it. Love Benson and Jack too. Well done Jenna. Keep up your fantastic ideas Xxx♥️👌👏
Jenna saying she hates the color combo of her flower while I’m actively crocheting a piece with the exact same colors broke me ngl
😅😂
Nooo it was so pretty don't worry!!
Great job JENNA❤
I think she just means for the flower 🤣 it’s cute
it depends on the arrangement of the colours, dont lose hope
I watch Jenna's videos while procrastinating on working on a project I have been working on since Febuary, and then I have an idea for a new project, so my collection grows and the cycle continues.
I'm supposed to be altering a top for a friend and here I am, not altering said top.
@@KelseyDrummerI've found my soul sisters!🥳🥰💞
I can relate!!🥲 it’s a wonderful feeling when you get the urge to create something new tho!
Same. Neurodiversity rocks 😂 Not suggesting you’re ND, I am though 😂
I have no less than 19 WIPs - that's not counting any secondary projects in the same bag or box.
There I was 3 mins in thinking, its nice to see Jenna in her au-natural cave-troll millennial form as a single living alone, then she licks the honey lid. Totally 100% relatable and I love every second ❤❤
Jenna it’s a work of art. It was worth all the extra hours, it looked unfinished with the little straps. So beautiful!
I make motifs between projects. Then I have some ready when I want to make a sweater or top. I also do that so it breaks up what I’m doing (change of hook, yarn, posture is good to prevent repetitive stress injuries). I do that with granny squares and hexagons. I love that you somehow manage to make your crochet videos so smoothing and entertaining at the same time!
totally off-topic but I love how Jenna was listening to noah kahan while working because that is what I listen to so Slay, also love the top.
I read a comment on a video the other day. “each project has its own pace. Sometimes finding it is the challenge, sometimes accepting it is the challenge, and other times working to it” and I thought that was great advice for other creatives
I live for the background music in Jenna vids, as well as the insane fibre art talent of course. Feel good vibes all round!
The squeaky mannequin hahahaha! Love that sound.
Your top was worth every hour you spent on it. It's beautiful x
I would wear it backwards. Very cool. I wanted to make a top or dress like this in all one color, thanks for talking me out of it.
7:26 I appreciate a good serenity prayer, especially when it comes to crocheting 🙌
Beautiful Freeform top. I like it. Freeform always takes longer than any other pattern of the same body but it’s so unique. Never will you ever see that design on anyone else.
Jenna out here giving me the confidence to think I can finish the crochet tiered skirt I've wanted for a while
Oh Jenna, all those hours spent on making the flowers was soooo, soooo worth it. Love how it turned out. Your designs may confuse me at first, but it never fails you do outstanding work in any thing you do. Thank you so much for posting your videos. 🥰
i’ve been waiting very (im)patiently for this. kinda reminds me of taylor’s floral dress at the grammys in 2021
Now i want to see her continue this top to a dress 😂
I got that vibe too
@@reneemuller1967 your wish came true
so cute! my jaw dropped when i saw the final product! although, if i were you and had enough flowers, i would make a blanket. good job jenna!!

You are one of the very few UA-camrs that makes me laugh out loud, and I totally enjoy that! I think you’re great!
I absolutely love it!! I'm obsessed with all things floral and this is so beautiful, you did a great job. I bet people will stop you to ask where you got it. Love your videos!
you could totally layer that top over a white button up shirt too it's inspired me loads to try something similar haha
The top is soooo pretty! Really good job on it, also good to see that making something does not magically appear, but it takes time and effort.
The “we lost!”, had me in fits of giggles!
take it slow-- crafting is not a race, don't feel bad taking breaks. love your work and channel!
I’m so happy you revisited this so quickly! It’s such a happy project
I love how authentic you are! I'm trying to be more like you and just do what I feel like doing so I'm going to start today! You've inspired me to make a crocheted top! Hugs from Texas !!
I am so proud of u for finishing
OH MY GOD GIRL! You did such a great job, it looks amazing! You're so much braver than me with doing the flower colours. I would be agonizing over it.
I absolutely LOVE your crocheted flower top. I have a bag of flowers I crocheted & haven't yet decided what to make with them. Now, maybe I will do what you did!!
I love your top Jenna. Your patience and perseverance are very admirable.
Ladies AND gents who do fibre stuff!!!
Absolutely love the top
it's ten times better than the first version! I was hoping you'd add a back, it's awesome! Lovely, this would be so cool over a shirt.
Jenna’s the only art UA-camr that I can watch without clicking off in the first 30 secs
During the last video, I was really against the idea of turning it into a dress, but now with this “final” version, I’m DYING to see it extended to a mini dress. 😍 Fingers crossed for next summer!

We learn from failures. We become better as we keep trying. You go girl. Your doing great
You are my comfort human Jenna. I love watching you and I like how vulnerable you are with us. Thanks for being you. ❤
This project is so freaking cool.
And i still love your sense of humor.
Keep being you, Jenna!
Turned out cool! That will also look neat with a b&w striped long-sleeved top under it in the F/W.
I love Jenna’s creativity. Thought I had seen all her videos. I was perplexed when she said she lived alone.🥴
This flower top is soooo CUTE!! I would pair it with a tiered white cotton skirt. Your riffs are funny.
