  • I was taking a 5 day rafting trip and wanted to try out Riversmith's Swiftcast Rod holders on my Water Master Bruin. In this video I go through the pros and cons of these rod holders, and how to fit them on your Bruin. See below to jump to particular spots in the video. Thanks again to Water Master for sending me 2 of these rod holders to try out. Thanks to Brian Sisson for the great photos and videos used in the video.

I put on a pair of downriver rod holders, they are 1.5” and do stick out a few inches one faces bow the other the stern. Tubes are one piece 6063 alloy schedule 40 and are very solid. It has simple connecting brackets to frame tube and hang outside the raft. So far so good thanks…

Very cool, will check them out. What length rod do you tend to use in them?

I’m not not into Spey casting, they are 10 footers, you can run a single if you want. I live in Montana so mostly 9’ 5 & 6 weights. I literally just broke my Bruin down today for a few months. Did get a couple extra weeks in this year. I’ll fine tune them in the spring, they are simple but solid.
