    I just bought a $60k 2023 Gladiator Overland for $40k. I freaking love this truck. First midsized truck since my 1988 S10. I have had a few different trims of the F150. Subbed! 🤘

    I have the sensors in my rear view mirror. The windshield is made to drop forward and you don’t need to recalibrate. I had my windshield replaced for $350 earlier this year on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. The sensors self calibrate and even after I had 3.5” lift on 38” tires. The truck safety self braking avoidance still works.

      Outstanding and good to know. On my tacoma the stupid windshield replacement was 1200 bucks because of that digital sensor crap

    Had my heart set on the Gladiator Rubicon. Took it for a test drive and it is not butter smooth lol. Test drove the Mojave right after. The Mojave is butter smooth. But I wanted the Rubicon so I took it out again and was vibrating in the seat on the highway. Took the Mojave back out and it was a no brainer. Night and day difference and as it is a daily driver and will spend 90% of the time on asphalt the Mojave is now sitting in my driveway. No regrets.

      @@SMOKEYSS83 Cant go wrong with either of them! both are amazing. I do believe the 23 tacoma value is gonna go up big time because of the price of the new 24 tacoma. on road manors are better on the tacoma only slightly. the offroad capability of the rubicon is un matched and the seating position I personally like better in the jeep. I would drive both before making a decision. But you can not go wrong with either.

    The first thing i noticed when i first test drove my 2023 Gladiator Rubicon was the visibility. I bought mine January this year with rebates almost 15,000.00 off which brought it down 2,000.00 less than the Canyon or the Colorado ZR2 i was looking at and i couldn't even locate a new 2023 Tacoma TRD Pro i was looking for at the beginning of 2023. As a former Wrangler owner i missed my Jeep but it wasn't practical as my other pickup. I really like the Gladiator but I've only put less than 300 miles on it but around 50 has been on a big snow we got and it performed flawless

    It's clearly evident you love your 2023 Gladiator Rubicon! I'm going to save your video on the Gladiator Rubicon so I can show it to my wife. I've been working on her---soft sale, not yet hard sale---for the past three plus years about our buying a Gladiator. We sold her Grand Cherokee in Utah prior to moving to Hawaii in March 2019. We have a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon I ordered from the factory in January 2012. (We'll be keeping my Wrangler Rubicon. I dearly love the Ruby. It's extra-low gearing is worth the extra cost of the Rubicon; I've only used either of the two lockers once or twice in the past 12 years. The front sway bar disconnect has been used just once.) As just stated, it's the ultra low gearing of the Rubicon that is worth its weight in gold, in my opinion. Thank you for this very interesting video! There can be no doubt in anyone's mind who watches this that you LOVE your new Jeep! I still love my Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon after 12 years. And it has been completely reliable save for having its navigation system replaced while still under warranty. You should have been a Jeep salesman!! Thank you for this very informative UA-cam video! State Farm and several other insurance companies do not increase your rates if you file a comprehensive claim. To self insure for the first $500 of a comprehensive claim is not the best financial choice. I have a $100 deductible and it costs me $36 a year more than a $500 deductible. In the last ten years I have used my comprehensive insurance for 2 windshield replacements and tire chain damage with a total of $1442 for the two windshield replacements including calibration and $1600 for the tire chain damage.
    So I’m out $100 for each claim for a total of $300 and $380 for the yearly increase in premiums to lower the deductible for a total of $680. If I had a $500 deductible I would have been out $1500.
    I also enjoy a more technically advanced windshield that keeps me from getting in accidents and helps keeps me in my lane instead of a basic windshield.
    That saves money.
    Plus with a windshield that is prone for multiple cracks like a jeep, maybe a couple a year. 10-20 windshield replacements in ten years,let’s say a $300-$400 windshield replacement price, that’s $3000-$8000 in windshield replacements versus $1000-$2000 in deductibles over the ten years. My two cents😅

      It's not about increasing rates foe glass claims. It's about becoming uninsurable because of too many claims in a 5 year period. Trust me, get 7 glass claims for windshields in a 5 year period and watch what happens when you try to change insurance companies. Take it or leave it but I'm talking form experience here.

      It’s not true. I owned an auto glass company for 10 years and was in the auto glass business for 36 years. I know because I called on insurance agents and people have glass claim, it’s out of their control hence having comprehensive claims do not have an effect on your ability to get insurance.

      @RickyRacer59 that is incorrect. And I don't mean that as an attack but as truth from first hand experience. I just dealt with it when I moved from Michigan to Georgia. Was denied coverage because of 7 glass claims in 5 years. It's 100% a factor.

      Interesting. It has to be hard going from a jeep to a tacoma. The sesting position is very upright and vertical in the jeep and in the tscoma its like a car with your legs out front and very low. I loved my tacoma. But I 100% like the gladiator much better. 2200 miles on it already and it's making me very happy

    How does it ride on rough streets and highways? I’m driving an Overland while I’m in Dallas and it’s kinda obnoxious. I may just be used to the ride in an extended cab full size with a 6 foot bed.

    • @Jason-Samko
      @Jason-Samko  11 місяців тому +1

      I'm sure the overland is a little rougher than the rubicon because the overland can tow more. The rubi has more off road tuned softer shocks. But I'm very impressed with it.

    • @Jason-Samko
      @Jason-Samko  11 місяців тому

      35x11.50. Stock rims are 7.5 inches so you can't run a 12.5 on them. And the 12.5 wide tires will tub when fully articulated with the sway bar disconnected. And they weigh a ton more. I have toyo open country at3 35x11.50 and live them. 2k miles on them and only lost a half of mpg!

    • @Jason-Samko
      @Jason-Samko  11 місяців тому

      @elginwang1572 will send you the unpublished video in a minute that shows it all done. If you do a 12 inch or wider tire you need new wheels that are atleast 8 inches wide and will need more offset. A 315×70×17 is basically a 35x12.50. Both will require new wheels or you will get uneven tire wear and wear the middle of the tread out fast. This is because the factory wheels are only 7.5 wide. I'm not going to lift mine. If I were doing 37s I would do the 2 inch Mopar lift. But it's not worth it to me because I only keep them a year and a half to 2 years. So slapping 35x11.5 on the stock wheels was perfect and didn't cost a fortune.

      @ROYZARMY if I was super tall like that I'd definitely test drive any vehicle to make sure you are gonna fit well. Pros and cons to short and tall. Me at 5'6 I always need to make sure a vehicle has an height adjustable seat so that I can get high enough to see everything off road well. My son inlaw is 6'3. When we bought his new car he had to test drive a bunch to make sure he fit in them comfortably. One of the main reasons he bought his 23 Honda civic sport. The seats went back far enough for him.
