Hey.. I'm also here because of Tank told us about your VLOG Channel :) As a Drummer who's used to set up his own set, those markings on the drum carpet are thing I never thought about but are actually a great Idea If the Drummer don't want to rearrange drums first

That was a great video. This place on top of a building has an amazing vibe and view. I hope "stage hands" help you a lot in your task. I really like watching your work. Thank you for your video, and I'm waiting for more.
@@cw6553 long story short i got it over a request from EC which goes I think over Bollo our FOH guy to another soundguy which played in a band where the female vocalist was in a relationship with the guitar player of my band which I played at this time and he asked me. So I got to EC at the Hypa Hype tour and become a core crew member :) but I’m working in this business also for over 10 years for other bands :)

Glad to see these tech videos. People have no idea the work and jobs of crew on tours and how important they are. Also kuddos for frank zummo for bailing them out recently. Dude is a beast
I really like that on stage stuff, reminds me of my few gigs I did when I was younger, but in waaaay smaller venues :D Nevertheless, the stress was the same. A few questions: - How does one get to be a drumtech? - What hardware does David use? - What are a drumtechs tips to make festival tone engineers happy? - As a small band, what is generally good etiquette to have on a gig towards the local and other stage staff? - Could you make a video showing a little bit closer how you mark the hardware?
Hey thanks for watching and the questions! :) - Good question...i would say loving this instrument and connections :D - I will go deeper in details in upcoming Vlogs so stay tuned ;) - Make a good tuning (as much as possible on festival situation) and be kind ;) - Always be kind and thankfull to people helping you no matter how annoyed you are maybe at the moment! -Also check upcoming Vlogs for more details :3

Hurrikan POV... NICE! How common is it to have to make additional adjustments during the final line check? To what extent, if any, does air temperature and humidity effect your initial set up? It looked quite chilly and damp earlier that day.
This venue is wild. I’m from the UK but went through there this year and it was up there as one of the more unionised venues… Slightly overwhelming at times and slightly frustrating when you’re mid task and they call for the stage to be cleared. Did you check out the abandoned floors in that building? Kinda wild it has so much empty space. Still a sick venue though. Highlight of the tour!
It would drive me crazy to have 10 union guys just drag everything out of the cases. It's helping, but it's not helping! Interesting to see the toms were all too high, was that a temperature thing?

Hi Chrizzly, also coming from Tank's video ^^ I have a question: What was the app called for tuning the drums and to what notes do you tune the toms and snare to ? THX ! Those are so called Cympads which are available in different sizes. Benefits are less swining of the cymbals and dampening effect to lower the sound :)
What a frustrating situation to be in. Ten guys who don’t have a clue touching everything would drive me insane. It seems if you know how to open a cymbal stand then they make you the crew leader.
When my church was set up and tear down people would try to help by setting the drums up, but it took more time because I couldn't set them up the way I like them and had to move them. I don't agree with the hand Union thing.
