So good. You can call this Scottish or Canadian Celtic, but it's not Old World or New World -- it's All World. Two inimitable musicians at the top of their game. Natalie and Mac create as much music as the average 80-person orchestra, and create as much joy as well. Thanks!

That piano playing is super nice, great job Mac.
To clarify, I loved how Mac was very supportive (and always is) in his accompaniment. He ramps up volume nad intensity slowly, stays in the background, listens very well to whoever is playing. He mixes up arpeggiation, block chords, bass runs, and switches the register artfully. Mac's definitely a piano idol for me!
We saw this show live at Strathspey Performing Arts Centre last Fall. Wonderful performance. This video certainly does the show justice. It was great to see the extended family.

Accidentally stumbled on this page but so glad I did! Such wonderful music! Thought this was from Ireland or Scotland and was surprised to learn this festival is in Nova Scotia. Hope to visit after COVID is under control and Trump is dumped. Thanks! St.Louis, MO, USA

This isn’t Irish! It’s the Cape Breton style: a direct descendent of the Scottish sound.
I hope before I die (not anticipating doing this soon) that I get to go to Celtic Colors. Also I hope, someday to be able to clog (flatfooting as it's called in the U.S. Midatllantic.) This is slightly less realistic than being able to go to Celtic Colors.
If she was a guitar player shed be playing Knopfler style, just better than its ever, ever been done!

Natalie is superb. She is talented and engaging. She pulls me into her music and it is so enjoyable.
Anyone know what type of pick-up is on Natalie's fiddle? ....Sounds a lot better than most. (Pretty close to a pure, acoustic sound rather than an *electrically amped.)

It's not a viola, but I agree, it is on the large side.
