    Probably the best pipe comparison video on UA-cam.

    I’m currently looking at a 2007 m50 with this exact exhaust system but in matte black. Glad to know it sounds so freakin good!!

    Great comparison video, helps when buying. I would have liked to hear it under full throttle though.

    Your video convinced to more these same pipes for my 2009 M50. I drilled the stock ones out last week, but it’s just not the same sound. Plus these look so much better than the factory ones. Was there a big weight difference? I chose the black ones myself. Thank you.

    It's not the best looking exhaust but i do think it's the best sounding for this bike. This exact one, that year and that color is the one i want. The next year it changed looks and i'm not a fan of it. The only thing i would change here is to get the exhaust in matt silk black. I have seen that before somewhere.

      I agree in all your points:) The only thing I have chosen the chrome pipes as it looks more similar to the stock on the (MOT) vehicle inspection mandatory every 2nd year. The black is obviously not stock.

    Ive been umming and areing about getting these pipes for a while now, definitely getting some after watching this now, have u got quiet baffles in them? If not are they annoyingly loud after a few hours straight? Did u put a power commander on also? Cheers

    • @BreakoutRides
      @BreakoutRides  6 років тому

      Hi there! Yep. The quiet baffles are installed. In the workshop I was told these baffles does not really reduce the volume but makes the tone deeper and softer. They are loud still but not extreme. However it also depends on your helmet. One of my helmets adds a kind of echo. I will try to put some noise reducing material in it. With the other better helmet a whole day tour is sill fun and I like every moment:) In the workshop they adjusted the software/mapping themselfs while analysing the exhaust gas with some kinda tool. They were confident that it will be the same as if I buy a power commander. If you have a Suzuki it's not that hard to manipulate the software. I also kept the O2 sensors.

    Dude, my question is not related to the video but I have the same bike here in Brazil. For instance, when you shift from the 1st to 2nd gear, do you hear a big noisy near the gear pedal?
    That happens only when I am accelerating and shifting the gears fast.
    When I shift the gear more slowly, or timely, that noisy doesn't happens.

    • @BreakoutRides
      @BreakoutRides  6 років тому +2

      Hi there, some noise is there for sure when shifting into any of the gears. In my case it makes no difference what gear it is, and seems to be normal. If you add enough volume or use headphones you can hear mine as well at 0:12

    • @darkdrewish1
      @darkdrewish1 6 років тому +1

      Hi Adriano
      I have the same bike too, it is a 2013 model, and I get the same noise from 1st to 2nd gear. It seems the M800 gearbox is a little clunky at times, but I think this is normal
      I hope this helps - Ride safe my friend

    • @juandrf
      @juandrf 5 років тому +1

      Same here. I have a C50, 2008. I replaced the clutch discs even when the bike was less than 5000 miles. After new clutch discs were installed same noise when shifting gears. So I assume it is normal. My bike has now over 12K miles and I just got used to it.

    What do you think of this motorcycle for beginners?

    • @BreakoutRides
      @BreakoutRides  4 роки тому +1

      I would not say it's a no go for beginners. However my theory is that it would be better to learn with a bike something like the Suzuki GS500 / Honda CB500 where you have more control on the bike with you footpegs and with your tight on the tank (the legs forward position is not helping). Also those have more control on the handlebars with your hands due the a more classic seating position. Anyhow if you are really into cruisers and with this bike I'm not going to chase you away of it. You will be able to handle it, just then are more optimal bikes for learning:)

    What else did u need for the exhaust system?

    • @BreakoutRides
      @BreakoutRides  2 роки тому

      Some says if you only modify the exhaust and not the air filter/airbox then nothing else is needed. However I had doubts asked to measure the exhaust gases that showed the bike started to run a bit lean (too few gas) and adjusted the fuel map a bit (don't know how exactly that was made but not with an aftermarket fuel map modifier e.g: PowerCommander).
