    Most versatile sounds like rig:
    1 - good guitar
    2 - good amp
    3- Rabea to play it all for you

      1: Any guitar, any condition.
      2: Any crappy thing resembling an amp in any way, shape, or form.
      3: No effects necessary.
      4: Rabea to play it all for you.
      That should do just fine.

      @niklnik1008 5 років тому +1

      @@skarfie123 sure thing. Depending on your budget I would probably look for a good used one. You can even find prestige Japan models for less than 500. For new or cheaper guitars I would look for Indonesian models preferably without Floyds. The Gotoh bridges are quite good. If you want a tremolo I would look for that. Gotoh 1802 is the name I think. Pickup wise if you look for diversity the DiMarzios and Seymour Duncans are really good. DiMarzios more for the metal sound and SDs for kind of a bluesy and classic tone...
      I hope I could help a bit. If you have more questions just put them up.

Maybe have an artist reference tone, then a few contenders for guitar and amp respectively in the demo room? Just a thought. Failing that, do Nuno and EVH please! :)

      his amps are Mesa Boogie which are definately too much money so either Egnater or Blackstar, i think Egnater and for fx they should go Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer, Boss PH3 Phaser, MXR EVH Flange, a compressor, a delay, and a wah, but if they have enough money they could get his signature dunlop wah

    Most versatile rig:
    -HSS or HSH Strat, or PRS with coil splitting
    -Blackstar amp with the ISF function, or maybe an Egnater (Tweaker or Rebel)
    -EQ, Compressor, and Boost pedals, by whatever brand. If you wanna thorough some modulation, delay or distortion also in there, that's up to you.

    • @EnterJustice
      @EnterJustice 3 роки тому +2

      Get a Les Paul with the Jimi Page mod - humbuckers, split coils, out of phase sounds, pickups in series in any combination you like. You could do it with a PRS as well, but you'd need 4 switches total (2 pots + 2 additional switches, which many PRS models don't have). HSH/HSS strat (Fender, Ibanez etc) work fine too. Some swear by the Variax, but I'm not convinced.
      Then get a pedalboard with (in order of signal chain):
      - compressor (highly recommended)
      - (optional) wah and/or volume pedal
      - 2 or 3 types of dirt (overdrive, distortion, fuzz, clean boost)... staples are tubescreamer, RAT, Klone, Big Muff, OD-1,...
      - EQ (to sculpt the tone, get 7 or more bands for best effect)
      - (optional) some sort of modulation (tremelo, chorus, phaser, whatever you like)
      - delay
      - reverb
      - pedalboard amp/cab sim - something like the Strymon Iridium, Mooer Radar, Humboldt Simplifier, Walrus ACS1...
      (... Or just get a Line6 Helix variation if you like spending your days digging through menus... Or a multi-channel amp if you hate your back...)
      Plug into a mixer or directly into an FRFR cabinet and voila. You can now convincingly fake most guitar sounds.

    Truth be told.. once again shows you that if you know what you're doing with tone , pedals, amps and guitars.. low budget.. AND CAN PLAY, ... anything can happen. I have the Katana as a practice amp.. for the money it was the best of everything I have played through and owned . However my Victory V30 Countess.. is my new baby. Thanks for the vid guys.

    For those of you that are NOT familiar with the Ibanez AND to correct Matt's false "no coil-split" statement about the Ibanez at 01:56. The Ibanez S521-MOL is a hard tail version with Jatoba fretboard (as of 2018, has replaced the rosewood) and a mahogany body with oil finish. Oh, side note: if it's the 2015 model then the fretboard is rosewood. The dual humbuckers with 5-way blade switch DOES feature coil-splitting. Position 5 is normal neck humbucker in series. Position 4 is neck humbucker with the coils in PARALLEL. Position 3 is both humbuckers as normal. Position 2 is both humbuckers COIL-SPLIT using only the neck's north coil and bridge's south coil which results in humbucking no noise. Finally position 1 is normal bridge humbucker. I have a 2013 S420-BK with the Edge ZR+ZPS2 tremelo, and it's 5-way switch works the same way. Also, I beg to differ on the tuning stability comment in that the edge ZR+ZPS2 and the locking nut is VERY stable: ask Steve Vai. ;)

      Isaac Miller BTW My rig currently is like Muse without busting (all I play is pretty much Muse xD) : Cort m jet (it’s like his signature model but better imao) , Orange tiny terror, zvex fuzz factory (I have a hand painted one), mxr phase 90 , crybaby wah (not really Muse but I have it) and I also have a Marshall Shred Master (better for Radiohead) . All I think that I need and will get is a Digitech Whammy and a Line 6 dl4 delay. I just ordered a mini Kaoss Pad to make them synthy crazy sounds XDDDD

      MegaCrasherMusic It's a "beginner guitar" in terms of its low price, but you really get a lot for that money, and that makes it more than just a beginner model. Very nice neck, stays in tune great, great build quality, great sounds. The PUs are not the strongest, and if you have the extra cash you could go for an even better quality with the 611 (Seymour Duncan PUs, GraphTech Saddle) which has the same configuration and versatility. Reviews for that one are blazing.

    I was considering buying that guitar, as I have a bad back injury and I needed something super light. It only JUST lost out to an Epiphone Casino Coupe, but it's an awesome guitar - especially if you have back issues! The look of the Casino just suited me more and I'm a sucker for that hollowbody sound, but this thing played beautifully and sounded awesome. You really cant go wrong with it.
    I'm loving what I'm hearing from the Katana, too. I've got to try one!

    Great thing about the Katana is instead of buying a Wah pedal you can get a boss or like expression pedal and use it for several of the built-in boss effect pedals in the amp and not only would you have a wah pedal that you can use with the different type of wahs in the amp but use it as a volume pedal or whatever other expression effects Boss put in the amp
